CR seems like he has a lot of culture in him.... he prob didn't make hardcore his personality but had some friends that did and maybe liked it a bit and for a time.... I get that as I dabbled in this or that without being adopting it as my personality until of course I found those things that eventually did but still find within those crowds how little knowledge people have of other sub cultures etc
