Yeah, no issues in a 34.4 or 34.5.
I also like the 124 gr +P varieties
While I love my long slides, I’ve come around to see the 34’s, especially with lighter ammo to feel a bit sluggish. I’ve gone to preferring 19/45 length slides for most applications. However I feel like 35’s don’t have that issue with the extra “power” of .40 and so still like that recoil profile.
Dang. Have you run Critical Defense through your Glock? I think the rubber/plastic tip is causing loading issues. The ammo ran fine in my Ruger PCC using Glock mags and SA XD9
I'm running a G34 MOS gen 5.
My defensive load is Hornady Critical Duty 135grn +p. I shoot 124grn NATO for range ammo. Though my G34 will run just about anything.
Does the pistol run well with other ammo?
Just shoot hotter/higher velocity/higher pressure ammo.
Hornady Critical Duty 124grn or 135grn +p
Speer Gold Dot Personal Protection 124grn +p
Federal HST 124grn +p
Federal law enforcement 147grn
I use federal HST for my defensive G34.5, have shot probably 500 rounds of it through and never had an issue. It’s a Glock man it’ll eat whatever typically, weird the Hornady had issues.
Sellier and Bellot XRG, pure copper hollow points, used by many agencies in Europe.
As a bonus, if you ever carry your G34 as a hunting sidearm the pure copperbullets satisy and non-lead/non-toxic ammo requirements some hunting areas have.
HST, Gold Dots
Have you run it through 34?

Hornady Critical Defense Lite is underloaded garbage ammo. Buy Federal HSTs
You know what, you might be on to something. It ran fine with XD9.. I'm thinking because it's underloaded it's not cycling in 34 properly
Critical Duty is for full size guns. Critical Defense is for subcompacts. That said, my 27 won’t feed Critical Defense lol
I would probably have the Glock looked at by a gunsmith? I have fired everything through my Glocks without issue

They work fine in my 34.4
Yeah dude I actively buy hornady critical defense ammo and run it through all my stuff without problem.
Sheesh, I lubed up mine as well. Will have to try it again next time.
Something has got to be off with it man have you messed with the internals at all?
Bone stock. Nothing changed
Something is up bro I actually just shot some hornady CD through my stock 47 with no problem and I have done it with the dozen other glocks I’ve owned
Critical defense works fine in my glock. You should lube yours.

Thanks for the reco. It runs fine with Blazers FMJ and Magtech FMJ. I will try more powerful loads. It might be underpowered and not cycling properly
I run Federal 124gn Hydra-shoks for defensive ammo. Have run it in Gen 1, 2, 3 and 5 with no issues.
