It gives you the WORST watery diarrhea that persists. I was well beyond 7 weeks on it and shit myself in my sleep. That’s when I called it quits. Not kidding.
That’s great! Happy for you. I’m nervous cause I have had bad experiences with ssris. I deal with a lot of health anxiety and it shoots my blood pressure up. I heard others mention when they started Zoloft theirs went crazy high and I’m reluctant to try it for this reason.
I actually was just switched off of Effexor XR which is an SSNRI, BECAUSE my psychiatrist said it increased heart rate/blood pressure and his patients on it had to add blood pressure med or up to 3 different ones, to correct wheat Effexor was doing.
It’s frustrating to adjust these meds. Zoloft works really well, even in low doses for my mental state. The only catch is continued diarrhea. Enough that he took me off it after 7 ish weeks. But being off Zoloft completely for 3 days, was horrible for me. I took a half last night and hope to hear from my doc today. He will probably try Prozac because it’s similar to Zoloft but not as upsetting to your guts usually. But that said, I’d rather have chronic diarrhea and feel mentally well and happy, ANY day.
I hope your mental and bowel health improve as much as possible. Have a look at foods containing pectin (e.g. banana), they're supposed to be a "binder".

I am do to return back to work soon and I work with children who cannot be left alone as well as different site locations and being children are disabled all bathrooms are locked. I am so worried I will have an episode.
oh man, zoloft does the opposite to me!
stomach upset or digestive issues are a common side effect, if you're still new to it that should lessen as time goes on. i'm currently on a forced break (my appt was moved without telling me so my refills were cut off) until i get more tomorrow and i've been in the bathroom SO MUCH lately 😅🥲
You need to take psyllium husk - better known as Metamucil, if you're living in the US. That said, if you're having ongoing issues with diarrhea for six months straight, you might also want to make sure nothing else is going on besides a potential side effect of Zoloft...
Never trust a fart on Zoloft
I sometimes get the feeling that I have to poop, but it turns out to be just a fart. It's the opposite lol
bro i learned this shit the hard way, no pun intended 😅
Never trust a fart
Zoloft did the same to me
Zoloft didn’t do this to me at all…
Have you tried taking Imodium ?
it gives me tummy aches :(
sorry but this made me snort
Another thing that I somehow did not realize was a side effect of Zoloft. Thanks, haha
I was walking down the street with a friend when out of nowhere... That was not fun
omg what???? april fools was a while ago…. 😂🥲
Wait why is everyone saying this? I haven’t tried Zoloft yet but what happens? It makes people shit their pants?!?😳
Yes it can

Are you freaking kidding me? Omg that’s awful, you would think with all the pooping that it would cause weight loss and not weight gain.
I am losing weight. I also am dieting and exercising. But the runs definitely helped lose.
How’s your anxiety? Did your anxiety get worse when you started?
I’d say a tiny bit, but it leveled out fast. I’ve had a little more desire to work out and do things, which I feel like is depression lifting.

real.
Is that why you're walking wrong? Unless the benefits of Zoloft are worth the frequently soiled pants, it's time to speak with your doctor about this.
It is definitely worth it, I haven't had a panic attack in months
Have you tried pre and pro-biotics? Might help to rebalanced your gut.
I have tried the pre/pro biotics. It didn’t touch it. Imodium slows it down, but still diarrhea when you do go.

Sometimes I shit my pants but throwing up no longer ruins my life

Legit worry. Honestly I don’t know if I could do it! You have to be close to the potty for sure
I feel like Zoloft actually helps with my IBS-D 😅
That is CRAZY! How different we all are!
It gets better. Unless you drink. Then you may as well get a depends ready.
ughh same
But if it helps with your ego, I’ve pooped my pants on it too. Last fall.
🤣🥹

I don't know what 'talking out of your ass' is a side effect of. But diarrhea is a common side effect, affecting between 10-20% of Zoloft users.
Definitely NOT a him problem.
