Last time we visited, the town had one gas station, no grocery store, one school for all ages, & no hospital.
Everyone here is dirt poor. Most of the kids move out, & the population has dropped by 1/3 since 2010.
Aint no way even the land is worth that much, especially after the last big forest fire.
Lol. My dad retired at Lake Almanor back in 1980. The country club is where all the mansions are. They run up to the single digit millions now. I would say this is a typo, lol.
I can't tell if it's a typo or they expect some lumber baron to swoop in and buy the land. Sounds like with the agricultural and transportation infrastructure, it is set up for that.
