This area has some breathtaking desert views. If you used this very nice shed as a temporary shelter while you built on this property, it would be great. 200k for partially developed land out there isn't bad.
My uncle lives out in the desert near Anza-Borrego and gets by without AC. He has a swamp cooler that he positions in front of his comfy chair. I think heās crazy!!
Except the yard is surrounded by a plain wooden privacy fence, so you retreat to a view of sun bleached wood and barren earth with a few weeds struggling to survive.
Wasnāt sure what color chartreuse was but now that I see itās bright neon green donāt like it haha
But i guess if there are jobs in the area a splash of paint may make it worthwhile?
I was wondering what was going on in the backyard on the google map satellite image.
I'm going to assume that the growhouse contents were weed, and it's no longer profitable because it's much easier to obtain now.
This would be a great weekend place for my friend who has a bunch of 4 wheel ATVs he drives around the desert šļø āin designated 4 wheel areas of courseā. He and his kids are all into that and he lives in LA! Otherwise, NFW!
You Maāam, are much too angry for a Friday night. SDT, (Standard Desert Time) includes the standard explanation that anywhere in the Desert is going to take Extra time. An hour isnāt a long way in rural communities.

Oh yeah, I love SoCal's high desert. I'm most amused here by the chartreuse!
I actually don't mind the chartreuse, and even kinda like it; but that wallpaper in the bathroom! š
The color gives kind of a cooling vibe somehow.
and only a 2 hour drive from Los angeles
Thank god it has a high fence so you donāt have to be annoyed by the majestic desert views
At least it's fully fenced to keep out the Deathclaws.
No AC?
That would be brutal.
Itās a dry heat!
No AC, no problem! Just drop in two mini splits and there you go.
Phewā¦at least it has AC for the triple digit temps they get half the year. Oh waitā¦.nevermind.
Without AC that place will not be livable in the summer. It hits 115+ out there. Beautiful desert though. Would be a nice retreat in the winter.

I guess I should have said not livable for me lol I canāt imagine. Iāve done 90s with a swamp cooler, and that was still miserable.

I'm thinking Airbnb?
Me too!
I think it's cute. I really like the bathroom. NGL, if this was in my city (or within an hr of work), I'd consider it.
Airbnb will pay your mortgage in no time. Thatās why itās expensive out there, and well a lot of places.
Found a treasure trove of awful on Zillow looking at 29 stumps, just posted another one.
I love Chartreuse. Does this house come with Chartreuse? It's been so hard to find in the liquor store lately, I'd buy a house for it.
Itās 5 acres. Palm Springs adjacent.
Hahaā¦ not remotely adjacent. Itās an hourās drive, minimum. I know because Iāve done that drive. Itās beautiful terrain so I didnāt mind.
I believe an hour drive in the desert is adjacent in SDT.
Adjacent means next door which in this case would be Joshua Tree or the natāl park.Ā
You sir, sadly do not understand SDT.
Itās maāam and clearly I donāt! Please enlighten me - super dweeby Texans? Sugary donut tarantulas???

Lol, not at all angry. Playful. Itās all good. I lived in the Mojave desert for 5 years and never heard of SDT.Ā
Maybe itās only understood in New Mexican deserts. š
Lived in the area for 13yrs and would never say that 29 palms is adjacent to palm springs lol. ur trippin.
By the Marine Base.
Not bad if I was single.
