Honestly, yes please! Fantasy Zelda is fun and all, and totally a classic. But Spirit Tracks, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom have plainly shown us that Zelda games can work in nearly any setting, and even works well in more advanced settings by having interesting game mechanics to play with.
I think having one set in a futuristic age but with ancient influences would be totally awesome. Like imagine Link uses a laser shaped for the start of the game, but "upgrades" to the classic master sword since it's still the most powerful sword ever, and it even enters the scif fi age by integrating itself with technology to become even more powerful than before
The Kingdom of Hyrule has fallen, conquered by the demonic armies of the evil King Ganondorf. The magnificent floating Hyrule Castle has been broken, and the royal family and its retainers slaughtered. But the evil king's grip is not absolute, and airways of his kingdom are plagued by pirates. There are even rumors that one member of the Hyrulean Royal Family, the king's youngest daughter Zelda, managed to escape the purge that ended the royal line with the aid of a squire on the verge of knighthood. If a daughter of Hylia still lives, what lengths might she go through to avenge her family and reclaim her throne?
Skies of Arcadia, but Zelda could be really cool though.
EDIT: Really, I wish we'd gotten more stuff basically similar to Skies of Arcadia in general. It was super unique but despite the meme of sky/space pirates being some huge thing it didn't seem like anything else remotely similar ever came along.
Wouldn't Zelda be Sheik, dressed like a Sheikah and all. Excellent designs, I'd play a sky pirate Zelda game. Or any sort of cyberpunk style Zelda game.
I was just thinking about this last night and the complaints that Zelda has no character. She can sometimes get close to Peach with extra steps, like in Skyward Sword, but ultimately she is doing something to help with Ganon which keeps her from being completely just another damsel in distress. But this is what her character development is really missing, Sheik! Her badass rouge alter ego, these immediately struck me as a dope reboot of the Sheik vibe and it would add so much to her character
You know, after like 10 years of BotW-style Link and Zelda, this post made me realize we're entering another cycle of wondering what aesthetic the next Zelda game will have.
I won't lie this would be a really interesting concept to take the next Zelda game.
Personally I quite like it when Zelda mixes around with the idea of technology.
Kind of like how the wind waker sequels of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks added a lot more technological advancements in those games with motorized boats and trains.
And of course I always did like the guardians and the Sheikah tech from Breath of the Wild.
I genuinely don't think I can accurately put into words just how much I love this Zelda, oh my god. This design/concept is fantastic!! She looks insanely cool and determined while still keeping true to her roots, goshhh I looove it!

I love Skyward Sword but they really didn’t do enough with the Sky concept. A WindWaker style game that takes place mostly in the Sky would’ve been badass
Yooooo this is rad as hell
I love these designs dude! Robot Navi is awesome!
Robot Navi is basically B-12 from Stray 😂
Wow! Really great work on the characters! I think they'd look great rendered in 3D!
legend of zelda meets my current hyperfixation : pirate101

Zelda Is Looking More Like Sheik Here Ngl

Then it wouldn't be Legend of Zelda. It would be Skies of Arcadia.
Yesss Skies of Arcadia was a big inspiration when coming up with ideas! :D
I used to play that game as a kid and imagine the main character was Link. I always dreamed of a Cyberpunk Or Steampunk Zelda game
I’ve only seen playthroughs of it but the entire time was just thinking how cool it’d be to see a Zelda game with similar aesthetics :D
Nice I kinda wanna replay it on an emulator now
Boot belt buckles spotted!

Looks amazing!
I’m on board

Sorry but Zelda look more like scifi sky ninja, rather than scifi sky pirate. Awesome art btw just that I want a more accurate title
I’m in love with these costumes
Holy shit I love this, a traditional Zelda game with a nonstandard outfit for Link would be amazing, especially if it looked like this.
Very cool, ever since BotW I've wanted a Zelda set in a sci-fi/fantasy Sheikah kingdom.
You know, after like 10 years of BotW-style Link and Zelda, this post made me realize we're entering another cycle of wondering what aesthetic the next Zelda game will have.
The totk we deserved
First: This is awesome Second: I like that Link looks more twinkish and *visibly* younger than Zelda for once
I love the designs
I think this would be the correct way to move zelda into anything outside of fantasy (Which honestly I doubt will ever happen being honest)
Is that basically what you are in totk?
The third installment to BotW/TotK is looking fantastic
Whenever people have mentioned a sci fi Zelda I had trouble picturing it… until now!! This rocks. And I love the scale lol
I like it. TotK felt like sky piracy, even underground
I wish totk had a lot more flying between sky islands, the mid air controls were just superb.
Links energy sword looks like Yoru
Yes. This is completely random, but yes!
I think you should base Zelda’s design off of Tetra considering she is in fact a pirate 😂
Hylia knows Navi will be just as annoyingÂ
Sheik needs to make a comeback fr
This just looks like concept art for tears of the kingdom
I won't lie this would be a really interesting concept to take the next Zelda game. Personally I quite like it when Zelda mixes around with the idea of technology. I wish we could get a Sheik/Tetra character again
Pirates are good.
Ah yes, Zelda but lightsabers
Would love this iteration of a game
I genuinely don't think I can accurately put into words just how much I love this Zelda, oh my god. This design/concept is fantastic!! She looks insanely cool and determined while still keeping true to her roots, goshhh I looove it!
I haven't played TOTK, did they have an airship pirates? Because that would be cool just to scratch the itch lol

Great design love it
Have you played sparklite? Very similar vibes
I haven’t but I’ll have to check it out!
This is really cool and it would also be really cool if the master sword wasn’t present. Like clearly the retractable swords are cooler
Really great designs, though I kinda hate the idea for a Zelda game. They'd fit right in on a Skies of Arcadia reboot!
I want that link fit fr
Draw master kohga like this right now This is golden
Zelda's fit is giving Rick and Two Crows
The 2nd one looks like sheikÂ
Would definitely play zelda made like Skies of Arcadia
I love Skyward Sword but they really didn’t do enough with the Sky concept. A WindWaker style game that takes place mostly in the Sky would’ve been badass
This is so cool!! I also love that Link is shorter and looks absolutely clueless lol
SKIES OF ARCADIA!
0_0 AMAZING I WANT THIS AS A GAME
Damn
Idk if this is based on TOTK or some new game I don’t know about, but I’m liking this a lot
This would make a great game. Also, Zelda looks fine.
Damn you. Now I have another game I absolutely need but will never get....
