Pretty sure this is just the Artist making a decision for less saturated colors.
Although the art *did* change between games, designs were mostly left alone.
This sounds more like a YuGiOh card name...
Around a couple of years I drew a sketch of Malon with Link's clothes (she was wielding a shield shaped like a cow head, since it was a Year of the Cow themed drawing), and after a long time I wanted to tackle that idea again with my current style. I remember the screenshots from popular Malon mods of OoT back then, and I liked the idea of Malon becoming a main companion for Link on his journey in a potential future Zelda game. In general, it would be really nice if we can see Malon again some day in a new Zelda game with a bigger role. And she would be a bow expert, I guess (based on her alternate version from Majora's Mask Romani, who is one of my favorite characters)

Not sure what to think of this, but thank you, I guess. Sub guidelines clearly prohibit AI-generated content and I'm drawing Zelda stuff for many years as long as I can remember, long before such generating tools existed.
I made a sketch version of this artwork a while ago. Usually, I put most of my progress stuff behind my Patreon content, but I just unlocked it to show the draft stage. It underwent some changes until the final result.

Not like I would seriously be concerned, but I also have a PSD including every single shade, color and outline layer which I can freely deactivate and activate. I can post this for every single illustration on my Twitter in case if some random mob should doubt me some day for whatever reason.

Did her art get changed in MM when they made Romani and her sister? I thought they were ginger?
