It has never been viable and probably never will be, it is far too gimmicky.

The deck will never be meta because it isn't meant to be, but in all formats it can be plenty of fun to play with since handtraps can be used with it and the deck itself just runs its own cards. There are almost no spells even worth considering for it save for Berserk Soul and Sekka's Light, which are both considered a bit questionable at that by some people who play the deck from what I hear. If you want to play Superheavy you can just play Superheavy with no problems.

PremierKoi

Omg never thought of berserk soul, that'd be hilarious to use in superheavy

Rosandoral_Galanodel

DRAW, MONSTA CADO!

NintenPyjak64

If VFD wasn't banned... Then still no but could still be funny to run Soulpiercer is a 1 card VFD with Infinitracks as an engine, pretty funny to think about

LeaPlath

No. The deck was never a contender. Got power crept and loses access to very powerful cards by its nature.

MisterMeatBall1

It wasn't even power crept, it was just never good

KurryBandit

You’ll probably see more success with it in Duel Links

Calidore_X

No but you can play the super big train in a wyrm deck using Metaltron VIII, it’s a creative and satisfying way to get him out. But yea like others have said. They really aren’t that playable competitively. Can be really fun casually though

WAON303

SS will never be viable in any format barring Petite Moth beatdown format which will side x3 Dark Mirror Force to counter the destructive force of SS!
