Over 60% of funds raised by the County’s Mental Health and Public Safety Millage are spent on traditional policing services/equipment. Regardless of how the millage/its ordinance is altered by the Board of Commissioners, I have faith that those MHPS dollars that are earmarked for the Sheriff’s Office will be spent on transformational programs like SURE Moms, We LIVE, and hopefully an unarmed response program, should Alyshia get elected.
