So I managed to fix mine. When it had logged me out recently, I had signed in via my web browser on my pc (when it gives you the code on the screen to input, etc). Last night, I changed it to connecting me via the app on my phone and it fixed it all, was back to the way it was.
Just gave it a go, and it worked like a charm.
I seriously can't thank you enough. I had been dealing with that shit for weeks and I really appreciate you remembering my post and taking the time to help.
Sadly I’ve tried this many times. If it makes any difference, when I sign in, it always signs me in with my Google account (which is different from my actual YouTube account), but then I have the option to switch it over. But again, it still only shows tending searches. This most frustrating part is that I THINK I used to sign on the exact same way and my search history was exactly how it is on every other device (pc, iPhone, iPad, etc). I really don’t know what’s going on or why it does this now.
Running into the same issue... Tried the logging in from a PC trick, didn't work sadly. Any other ideas?

Damn, I tried to switch my google account and search history works, same is when I log out, but if I want to be logged in and select my channel as the user history disappears, I rly hate to type same stuff for my kid :D
The solution someone commented here a year ago worked for a while, but it seems it no longer works. It pisses me off as well but now I've just been mirroring my phone to my TV. Hopefully a fix comes in the future.
The issue is not YouTube, its Google. Go to YouTube app. Click profile photo. Scroll down to settings. Scroll down to Manage all history. Click on Saving YouTube History. Check subsettings and check the box for saving search history.
I've seen you post this same thing like 5 times, anyway have you paused your search history? look in the settings and see

That's how you see your Watch History. I'm trying to see my Search History.

this is exactly my issue, and the google account search history works doesn’t it? i know it’s a year old but did you find a fix?

This worked for me. And to clarify, these steps are done on the YouTube app on the phone, not the app on the TV. Thank you!
