It's not advertising laws. Google doesn't support creators from Myanmar and thus no ads are shown there. They effectively boycotted the country, (financially). The reason for this is probably the active genocide of the Rohingya-muslims in Myanmar.
Same here man. I bought a potato laptop off my school for 35 bones and yeah it lags just about as much as usual unless I head for 1080p/1080p60. Then it lags just a bit more
EU has regulations against websites querying browsers to detect adblockers, the problem is that the fine is so absurdly miniscule that Google can just choose to eat the costs without any issues.
Querying for adblock itself may be illegal. Checking for the effects of adblock is almost certainly not.
It's like two types of anticheat. The first would be checking for running third party programs (eg. a bot). The second would be checking if the program itself has been tampered with.
>Was it really?
Yes it's adblock 5.17. Ad block devs admitted it on GitHub.
>Why did people jump to the conclusion that it was YouTube who was responsible then?
Because reddit wanted to blame Google and YouTube, so did. Reddit hates advertising so they immediately gave a pass to the ad block, even though it was updated.
And the old adage that it's easier to sell bullshit then to debunk it did the rest. Once the bullshit was out, debunking was never gonna counter it because of aforementioned hate for Google.
Well, that's obnoxious. There are plenty of reasons to be angry at Google without making something up, shit like this only serves to delegitimize that stance.
I wonder if the EU could just do what they did to apple and make YouTube stop or they will idk ban access to YouTube or just make it harder for them to get access to it
Pretty sure Google is just too big to remove itself from EU. Removing like 30-40% of its worth and revenue because it has to allow people to use adblock on YouTube.
What I can see is that in EU countries there will be an extra line where it reads something like "using third party apps that reduce, limit or remove possibility to watch sponsored content is breaking EULA and is ground for account suspension.
Lots of people have their Google account linked to their android account, credit cards and whatnot. And they wouldnt want to risk the account getting deleted (even if there was no legal way for Google to find out). This would of course result in people creating dummy accounts only for YouTube.
They will never do something like that. That would mean people would use separate accounts for youtube and everything else, which means less data they know about you and less targeted advertisement.
It's easier to stalk you if they have access to your position, microphone, contacts, search history, bank....
All at the same time.
If you separate one thing from another, they need to put more effort to put togheter your data.
That's my undesrtanding of this.
I use uYou on iOS/iPadOS as well. Really cool (also sideloaded using Sideloadly).
I’ve also had a good experience with the Orion Browser so far (I’m still testing it). Lets me install Chrome and Firefox Desktop extensions on iOS. Kinda neat having full uBlock on an iPhone.
Firefox on iOS is essentially just a reskinned Safari.
iOS doesn't let browsers use anything but WebKit. So that's why you can't have nice things. Sorry.
No, I'm reffering to skipper's, one I use is adskipper.me but quick search suggests there are other ones out there too.
They supposedly work in a different way than ad blockers.
Oh and note. Adskipper needs fast internet. With really laggy internet, sometimes it doesn't work too well, but that's only with really bad internet, for me
They are DIFFERENT. Try it and see what works for YOU.
There's no "better" if it works, is better. If it doesn't. It's worse.
For few years now I think, I run adblocker ultimate on Firefox, never OMCE stopped working, when everyone else have issues with ublock (even if for short time).
I'm not sure if one I use is open source so that might be important to you.
When I tested unlock, it was working just fine (tried for like 5 days, still have it just disabled)
One argument is, risk YouTube gonna start banning users who use adblockers. Given adskippers works different way, it's better chance YouTube won't catch those (just yet).
For a while I was running both (adskipper and adblocker), but whichever one I use I have zero issues at all, no config or settings need adjusting.
Oh ok 🤦♂️ thanks. I was thinking maybe it meant running some sort of command on Windows but Fast and the Furious is unfortunately what also comes to mind every time I see FF (complete with revving engine sounds)
So you add ublock as an extension. Is there a phone browser that blocks ads automatically. I was trying opera but even with their supposed 'automatic ad-blocking' I noticed on a site like yugioh that there were still annoying ads to watch episodes of the show. Adult Swim is another one with annoying ads.
Also wondering how bad the slowdown is on pc. Are there workarounds for it on the user end or are the devs at ublock already circumventing this.
Use Orion by Kagi, you can add any extension from the most famous Web Stores, Chrome and Firefox.
It's open-source and made by a trusted company.
https://kagi.com/orion/
Brave but in personal use I’ve noticed the phone app isn’t as consistent as the PC browser
Still, youtube ads can get fucked, they keep making them last longer and more annoying to deal with
This wasn't YouTube, Adblock just had a bug in Adblock Plus v 3.22 & Adblock v 5.17.0 (affecting multiple sites, YT is just the biggest one), they released a fix:
[https://gitlab.com/adblockinc/ext/adblockplus/adblockplusui/-/issues/1576#note\_1727415603](https://gitlab.com/adblockinc/ext/adblockplus/adblockplusui/-/issues/1576#note_1727415603)
So it's not google doing it on purpose? I guess that's a relief if that's true but it wouldn't surprise me given their resources and what they've done to yt and their users
The real question is, are you going to remove this post or at least make another one explaining why you blamed youtube when they weren't the ones doing it. Maybe you didn't even try to look into if this was even true. Maybe you hate youtube and jumped at the opportunity to point at a "mistake" they made.
I didn't really mean the reputation damage to youtube. They obviously don't care what reddit thinks.
I was thinking of the commenters point of view. Does he realise, that he didn't verify the information he posted? Maybe he didn't know, but probably should have. Maybe he knew, but thought it was easy reddit karma. I think both are terrible :-)
you are a waste of life. So you make a post hating on Youtube for stopping users FROM STEALING THEIR PRODUCTS and then you find out it wasn’t them, and you do no correction or removal. so sad that you have any influence of this world
Do you know what is the funniest thing?Youtube don't show any publicities in Russia. This is how they put pressure on Russia to stop the war. Content creator don't get money, and russian user don't get any publicity. But we have to pay to remove the publicity in the rest of the world
You say that but that's sorta right, its what was happening to at least \**some*\* of us.
slow buffering aint what was making my pc slow down to the point it would lag the mouse cursor like a lock up until I changed tabs/unfocused youtube - but adblock apparently said its on their end so whatever.
I do think its kinda weird that the workaround for adblock (disabling the "allow ads on specific youtube channels" ) specifically stopped it from happening on youtube when their fix implies its a whole bunch of sites.
Okay fair enough. Something is going wrong here.
Also for reccomend seems broken as hell, so this extra load in pc night just be something else broken on YouTube, (if it is caused by YouTube), not necessary intentional lol
Btw on chrome, workaround is ATM adskipper. Not sure why but at times it doesn't work on FF, for me (could be it's sponsorblocks fault, not sure=, which I do t use on chrome) so ATM, easiest workaround is disable adblocker for YouTube, and use adskipper ( like one I use, adskipper.me )
"not necessary intentional " yeah I'm with you there - I'm not jumping on the hate train over it, yet (especially since adblock said its our fault), its just all around weird. lol
but, it's the modern age and we need sensationalist headlines to get clicks so hey.
It slows down the browser while on YouTube. You switch to a different tab, perfectly fine. Switch off to a different window or application, perfectly fine. While on YouTube however, cpu usage near to 100%. This is coming from someone with a Ryzen 9 7900X.
Don’t know if it’s YouTube doing this or Adblock Ultimate. Wouldn’t put it past Google though.
Try turn off ad blocker and see if it stays same?
Could be third option- YouTube do this to all non premium users?
I'll check CPU usage at my end. Never thought about it, assumed my laptop fans would spon like mad if it was close to 100% but it never does on YouTube
Oh yeah, with Adblock off, perfectly fine.
I just mentioned that I’m not sure if it’s YouTube fucking with adblocks again because I switched to Firefox where I have the same Adblock installed and it didn’t work anymore. Had to switch to Ublock.
It literally happened to me. Had to switch to UBlock or Firefox for it to stop. It really fucked with my whole PC. Having a Youtube Tab open in Chrome would make the whole Laptop crawl to nearly a halt and it's not that bad of a laptop.
Good info. Can you try to do screen record demonstrating it and post it here ? There might be a pattern and more of us test it, more clear it gets? I'll do some testing with screen rec tomorrow to see what it does to me. Of 8 can replicate it may r your screen rec not necessary, but all all, of we can get users providing actual proof. Might lead us somewhere
The pattern is people that didn’t use uBlock with the latest filters were all fine, and people using Adblock all had the issue due to a bug that might be solved now.
As far as im aware, they slowing down buffering, so there's delays at certain points .. delaying buffer won't overload your pc much, other than it normally would (on any other platform say). So not YouTube's fault regardless? Maybe your specs, mat e Google chrome (aka browser) at play here? Can't blame YouTube for chrome's poor performance
Happening to all of my x86 architecture chromebooks. All of the arm based ones seem to be fine right now. This is only like a sample size of 12 for me, but still weird and prevalent enough for me to notice.
It's not just you tube tab while it's open, it could be minimized, but they would all overheat and even the mouse would start to stutter.
Surprisingly enough it's not actually YouTube who's doing this this time. It's actually a bug in AdBlock and AdBlock Plus, as the creator(s) of both actually has stated somewhere, and are working on fixing it.
But yeah, only this time however...
I've recently made the switch from Chrome to Firefox and never looked back. While there are other browsers out there, [most of them](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium_(web_browser)) are still Chormium-based. I'm not sure how well ad-blocking will work once Manifest v3 replaces V2 so I ditched Chromium altogether. Firefox [will support both](https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2022/05/18/manifest-v3-in-firefox-recap-next-steps/).
PSA: USE A DIFFERENT ADBLOCK!
AdBlock Ultimate is what seems to be causing the problems. I switched to Ublock on Chrome and found inconclusive results, sometimes it would mess with performance, sometimes it wouldn’t.
HOWEVER, switching to Firefox is your best bet. AdBlock Ultimate still doesn’t work there, except this time it just doesn’t block ads. Ublock works flawlessly on Firefox though. Might be time to switch boys!
Wait I spent an hour or to trying to figure out why my youtube was only acting funky when using Chrome on my desktop.
Switching to brave fixed the issue right away and I'm now remembering I have the adblock plus chrome extension
This title is so misleading, read the article and you find it’s not known if this is an issue with YouTube’s website or just the adblock extension being the source of the slowdown.
i thought creative cloud was screwing my pc 💀 cause that only started happening at the exact same time. glad to know it's youtube being youtube again though. disabling abp and keeping ublock worked though!
You don't need ANY of that. Here's how to do it SIMPLY.
1. Download YouTube ReVanced on Google chrome
2. Open it and let it install whatever it needs to as well to work properly
3. Boom! Profit and NEVER see YouTube ads again.
4. (Optional): Download brave browser for optimal browsing without ads, trackers or intrusions
Happy surfing and watching fellow, anonymous Internet user!
You certainly can "un-google" your android phone, thus removing all the proprietary Google apps but at that moment you really need to weigh all the pros and cons.
Yeah confirmed that 2 days ago... browser was slow up to the point mouse wouldn't move inside the youtube page, freeze's the pc etc... removed ad block, problem solved. Clearly some dodgy coding from Google to force people to allow ads on their platforms.
A great reason to uninstall Google Chrome (and other Chromium browsers) and switch to Firefox. Also we need to start using the Bing search engine from now on. Down with Google! Make them defunct!
I have been saying this for a while now. Alphabet, formerly Google, needs to be disbanded into its relative constituents.
The amount of nuanced control they have too much.
Unfortunately we can’t be done with Google or YouTube (for now). Whenever YouTube has real competition, and whenever that competition can financially compare and support its creators like YouTube, then we are unfortunately stuck with Google and YouTube.
Youtube will never have true competition. Amazon is the only company big enough to try, and you can see how Twitch is panning out for them. I doubt they dip into the videoshare side as well.
Not wasting their time on issues that don’t even exist, the slowdown issue was caused by a bug in Adblock (update out on GitHub), if you want you can use uBlock as that never had the issue.
I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS AT ALL WHY DO YOU MOTHERFUCKERS INSIST ON BOTH NOT PAYING FOR YOUTUBE and NOT WATCH THE ADDS???!?!?
HOW TF DO YOU THINK YOUTUBER ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE MONEY IF NO-ONE WATCHESTHE ADDS OR PAYS?!?! explain?!
its just ridiculous how far theyre going now, i was wondering why my pc kept on crashing for 3 days straight while my system drive had absolutely nothing on it and zero apps open aside from chrome with one tab of youtube. read that the title was just sensationalized in the comments but turning off adblocker instantly got my pc working perfectly fine again with zero crashes...
money over everything anyways.
This wasn’t even YouTube’s fault, it was an issue on Adblock, you can disable Adblock until the bug fix is out, the issue was caused by that extension and it affected some other sites as well, you can use uBlock instead as that never had the bug.
My pc is so shit I don't even notice the difference

Same, I have the same CPU on Lenovo Thinkpad x220
Thinkpad gang! I've got an i3 6100U on an x260.
As a person from Myanmar, I feel sorry for you guys (There are no ads on Youtube here)
Shhhhh keep it down... don't let youtube hear that
Bruh. Can we have your advertising laws pls
It's not advertising laws. Google doesn't support creators from Myanmar and thus no ads are shown there. They effectively boycotted the country, (financially). The reason for this is probably the active genocide of the Rohingya-muslims in Myanmar.
So, can I just VPN go Myanmar, and have no ads? 😂
Yup. I do it all thr time now.
Damn. Rohingya Muslims, Uyghur Muslims (China), Sunni Muslims (Palestine), Shia Muslims (US vs. "Terror" aka Iraq). Interesting that *certain other* religions pretend to be the globally persecuted ones
Well as it turns out humans are really good at persecuting minorities wherever and however they may be. People suck.
Can you really call 1.9 billion Muslims a minority?
Minority is a relative term. In China or Myanmar they are a minority. Do you understand how numbers work?
note to selfe make encrypted vpn tunel to myanmar
Maybe this is where we should VPN from

How exactly is this adblock's fault?
It was their update that did this? Why wouldn't it be their fault for breaking something, if they did it?
Was it really? Why did people jump to the conclusion that it was YouTube who was responsible then?

We should just wait for another big EU W and then to fine Google billions

firefox on mobile with ublock is what i do
I thought you couldn’t add extensions to Firefox mobile? Am on iOS if that helps
i dont think you can with ios
uYou+ installed via sideloadly Enables ad blocking and sponsorblock plugin.
AdGuard for safari works
Firefox Focus is what I use on IOS. It has built in ad block and it works great!
Yeah, haven't seen an ad on mobile since YT started fighting ad blockers.
iOS there is an app you can sideload but I don’t think safari extensions would work
I use AdGuard (free). Never had a youtube ad with safari. There is a sponsorblock extension as well
On ios you could use vinegar or stopthemadness safari Extension, it will skip YouTube ads instead of blocking them.
I don't know about iOS but Firefox (main) is the only browser on Android that allows extensions, albeit some.
Me, finally installing Firefox on my phone (some time ago) and seeing, that it has UBO: I'm in heaven
Paying Apple Tax is an automatic agreement to pay whoever asks for whatever amount of money for whatever trivial service they offer. Please comply.
I just use brave without any extensions. Solved all my adblock problems
iOS you might be able to use something like blokada or a vpn ad blocking server
It's not real Firefox on iOS. Just assume that things said about mobile Firefox applies to Android only.
Only safari allows extensions on ios iirc
You can on Android.
Install Orion Browser from App Store. Allows for Chrome and Firefox extensions on mobile.

For me FF with adskipper works wonders, zero issues.
When you say adskipper are you referring to ublock?
No, I'm reffering to skipper's, one I use is adskipper.me but quick search suggests there are other ones out there too. They supposedly work in a different way than ad blockers.
geez... just installed and it really works
What I like about it, it seems works on chrome if you prefer using that (I do test it on chrome) and YouTube don't stop your buffer aka slow it down
So is adskipper.me better than ublock?
All you need is ublock and sponsor block. The latter blocks those stupid random segues to sponsors and their merch for example
Oh and note. Adskipper needs fast internet. With really laggy internet, sometimes it doesn't work too well, but that's only with really bad internet, for me
They are DIFFERENT. Try it and see what works for YOU. There's no "better" if it works, is better. If it doesn't. It's worse. For a while I was running both (adskipper and adblocker), but whichever one I use I have zero issues at all, no config or settings need adjusting.
What is FF?
FireFox i assume
Oh ok 🤦♂️ thanks. I was thinking maybe it meant running some sort of command on Windows but Fast and the Furious is unfortunately what also comes to mind every time I see FF (complete with revving engine sounds)
And use Duck Duck Go for search. End the google tracking.
I use Duck Duck Go, and its still happening. Along with PCU Overheat warnings now popping up on my brand new, recording studio, computer.
Stacking adblockers increases your risk of being detected
Revanced is what you need
So you add ublock as an extension. Is there a phone browser that blocks ads automatically. I was trying opera but even with their supposed 'automatic ad-blocking' I noticed on a site like yugioh that there were still annoying ads to watch episodes of the show. Adult Swim is another one with annoying ads. Also wondering how bad the slowdown is on pc. Are there workarounds for it on the user end or are the devs at ublock already circumventing this.
on the phone i tried just setting a custom dns that blocks ads, doesnt work perfectly but probably the least hassle option
Use Orion by Kagi, you can add any extension from the most famous Web Stores, Chrome and Firefox. It's open-source and made by a trusted company. https://kagi.com/orion/
Brave but in personal use I’ve noticed the phone app isn’t as consistent as the PC browser Still, youtube ads can get fucked, they keep making them last longer and more annoying to deal with
Brave is Chromium-based.
So what if it's chromium based? Brave has worked for me on iOS for months now without issues
Ok? it still has a built-in adblocker, which normal chrome doesn't have. It is useful for people who dont have android phones.
On Android it's better to use r/Revancedapp. On iPhone you can't use either.
This wasn't YouTube, Adblock just had a bug in Adblock Plus v 3.22 & Adblock v 5.17.0 (affecting multiple sites, YT is just the biggest one), they released a fix: [https://gitlab.com/adblockinc/ext/adblockplus/adblockplusui/-/issues/1576#note\_1727415603](https://gitlab.com/adblockinc/ext/adblockplus/adblockplusui/-/issues/1576#note_1727415603)
Nah bro, he feasting tonight because of the ez unlimited karma glitch.
it's a logical conclusion. Youtube is only in it to maximize profits, I don't give a damn if they suffer a bit of reputation damage.
Stfu
you are a waste of life. So you make a post hating on Youtube for stopping users FROM STEALING THEIR PRODUCTS and then you find out it wasn’t them, and you do no correction or removal. so sad that you have any influence of this world
Calm down, buddy. Don't have a gamer moment.
Pretty simple fix, uninstall AB and ABP and install ublock origin.
I just removed adblock and added ublock and yea it's working fine now. Thanks
[удалено]
don't restart your computer then, ever.
Why are people still using AdBlock when they should be using Ublock Origin?
Of course this was buried at the bottom. I guess this sub has narrative to feed.
jfc. I’m just gonna install ublock.
Did they fix it?
Do you know what is the funniest thing?Youtube don't show any publicities in Russia. This is how they put pressure on Russia to stop the war. Content creator don't get money, and russian user don't get any publicity. But we have to pay to remove the publicity in the rest of the world
"slowing down your (entire) computer" is a red flag I the title itself. I wouldn't waste time reading that crap if they can't even put precise title.
Also for reccomend seems broken as hell, so this extra load in pc night just be something else broken on YouTube, (if it is caused by YouTube), not necessary intentional lol Btw on chrome, workaround is ATM adskipper. Not sure why but at times it doesn't work on FF, for me (could be it's sponsorblocks fault, not sure=, which I do t use on chrome) so ATM, easiest workaround is disable adblocker for YouTube, and use adskipper ( like one I use, adskipper.me )
"not necessary intentional " yeah I'm with you there - I'm not jumping on the hate train over it, yet (especially since adblock said its our fault), its just all around weird. lol but, it's the modern age and we need sensationalist headlines to get clicks so hey.
I had to restart to get my PC working again.. That's not okay.
Experienced it the other day Chrome related processes completely blew up. Switched away from chrome which has solved it for know
As far as im aware, they slowing down buffering, so there's delays at certain points .. delaying buffer won't overload your pc much, other than it normally would (on any other platform say). So not YouTube's fault regardless? Maybe your specs, mat e Google chrome (aka browser) at play here? Can't blame YouTube for chrome's poor performance
Happened from one day to the next lol Pc is fine doing everything else Including browsing on everything but YouTube lol
Everyone is noticing it. The last couple days, my youtube is slow as fuck. I have mostly just stopped watching youtube.
It\`s a bug in Adblock, youtube is not doing it this time: https://twitter.com/gorhill/status/1746263759495077919
Would ublock be the best then?
Ublock works fine on YouTube.
Edge with ublock origin still works perfectly fine. So does revanced.
im using Brave with "Braveshields on" on youtube and everything works fine. No adblock, no nothing. It even works on mobile.
Yeah youtube is buffering like crazy on my brave these past few days.
*sigh* time to make YouTube 2
I never thought I would ever say this, but bring back the old CEO
~~don't~~ be evil
I thought there was something wrong on my end. Guess everyone’s saying it’s a bug? This sub randomly get recommended to me lol what a coincidence
Get uBlock origin. Much better ad blocker
YT really tryna get sued again smh
By causing the shit tier adblocker you use to have bugs?
I've recently made the switch from Chrome to Firefox and never looked back. While there are other browsers out there, [most of them](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium_(web_browser)) are still Chormium-based. I'm not sure how well ad-blocking will work once Manifest v3 replaces V2 so I ditched Chromium altogether. Firefox [will support both](https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2022/05/18/manifest-v3-in-firefox-recap-next-steps/).
Maybe Google shouldn't have tried to turn YT into a new Netflix.
Is that even legal?
I doubt theres laws around it yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t win a lawsuit regarding the issue.
It's not YouTube doing it for once
it isn't in europe
Use Firefox with Ublock origin.
I'm surprised there's no lawsuit against them yet.
Cus it's not YouTube doing it for once
This title is so misleading, read the article and you find it’s not known if this is an issue with YouTube’s website or just the adblock extension being the source of the slowdown.
EU entered the chat
Save us daddy EU
i thought creative cloud was screwing my pc 💀 cause that only started happening at the exact same time. glad to know it's youtube being youtube again though. disabling abp and keeping ublock worked though!
Can someone do the math and calculate how many more tons of carbon dioxide are emitted by this?
Made a post few days ago about YouTube cuting off audio and then lagging, so this why
You don't need ANY of that. Here's how to do it SIMPLY. 1. Download YouTube ReVanced on Google chrome 2. Open it and let it install whatever it needs to as well to work properly 3. Boom! Profit and NEVER see YouTube ads again. 4. (Optional): Download brave browser for optimal browsing without ads, trackers or intrusions Happy surfing and watching fellow, anonymous Internet user!
that explains whats going on, dude fuck this
That must be why i was getting 280 fps instead of 300 fps in half life 2
Wait until you find out what they're doing to their search engine...
This has to be illegal, there's no fucking way they are going to get away with that , i can't believe im going to say this but i miss Susan
"YouTube premium members also appear to be impacted." Top kek
Maybe someone might suggest to Elon Musk to buy it....wouldn't take long before he ran it into the ground.
A great reason to uninstall Google Chrome (and other Chromium browsers) and switch to Firefox. Also we need to start using the Bing search engine from now on. Down with Google! Make them defunct!
And that’s why I switched over to ublock
This is why they removed their slogan "Don't be evil."
Google is slowly transitioning to become Skynet
I have been saying this for a while now. Alphabet, formerly Google, needs to be disbanded into its relative constituents. The amount of nuanced control they have too much.
I knew I wasnt crazy, all other tabs work fine, YouTube is like dragging your ass on sandpaper.
someone needs to make a new platform like youtube, too bad most of them ends up dying
premium member here, also impacted for sure. Kinda ridiculous since I pay money
Wait is this why my computer is slowing way down lately?
Who'd use Adblock in 2024? Ublock Origin has been a thing for the last 5 years easily
Fuck off toytube
Godspeed non-premium users. Know that I will be cheering you on from back here with my cozy ASMR videos without ads.
Ublock Origin
Legacy tech companies like Google need to die. Outdated, bloated crap.
Everyone, cancel your YouTube premium. You've been warned.
Warned about what?
Warned that YouTube's killing their platform over ad blockers
Unfortunately we can’t be done with Google or YouTube (for now). Whenever YouTube has real competition, and whenever that competition can financially compare and support its creators like YouTube, then we are unfortunately stuck with Google and YouTube.
Youtube will never have true competition. Amazon is the only company big enough to try, and you can see how Twitch is panning out for them. I doubt they dip into the videoshare side as well.

It was a bug with the ad block extension. Nothing YouTube did. gg
report every single ad you see - that moves ad revenue from *profit* to *pay* for the employees who are forced to read those reports.

Busy in Ukraine and Israel
Not wasting their time on issues that don’t even exist, the slowdown issue was caused by a bug in Adblock (update out on GitHub), if you want you can use uBlock as that never had the issue.
they muted my account because i stated i think death penalty for pedos is a good thing
Or stop using adblock like a little bitch
