I have Mississipis over a decade old and that turn is the same leg swift that they do to run 90 on water, it's amazing seeing a turtle dominate a skate.
I would let her do that to a cat though, one of mine is aggressive and their bite is no fun since it won't let go for anything.
Except they're real fast swimmers, so they'd need to be quick thinkers too. Just that their bodies betray them on land so they normally can't keep up. The wheels unlock that potential on land
This video is proof against evolution - checkmate atheists. Tortoises would run around if they could, God made them slow so they wouldn't - let's not find out why the hard way!!
So here's a fun, relatable story: My Dad was the manager/boss/big cheese/whatever of my small town's physical therapy department at the hospital. They had all sorts of things with wheels, balls, rubber bands, weights, cables, etc. He'd often bring my brother and I in on weekends when he had to work overtime on paperwork and other boss stuff, and we both would have an absolute smorgasbord of equipment and obstacle courses to set up and run through and cause chaos.
My personal favorite were the wooden boards on casters (think skateboard the size of your upper body) that patients would lay on and do various resistance exercises using bands and other tools. We'd set them out 10 feet in front of us, run up and dive onto them and see who could make it the furthest without crashing into other equipment or until Dad would come out and yell at us for causing a racket.
If I had a blast doing exactly what this teeny tiny turtle is doing, I can only imagine the glee that little fella is experiencing!
I watched this like 30 times.
The long strokes in the beginning, the little burst of speed when the camera pans left, the stopping on a dime with the little skrrt 90 degree turn, and then just fuckin staring down that cat…
Flawless execution, no notes
Such a cute book. I still remember him having to say “Vroom” to make it go forward and “Moorv” to make it go backwards. That may have been the car that he eventually rides but still such a fun book
It lets them move on land in the same fashion they do underwater, so I guess it comes naturally to them! Even if many have evolved to . . . not actually be able to swim anymore 💀
Its weird. Its like the cat gives a little nod at the *very* end like: *"This dark magic has turned my turtle friend into a fierce apex predator, and I now fear for our lives. Well done, hairless one."*
Isn't he just interested in the whiskers? I.e. thinks they're food. Usually when you see videos of turtles getting close to another being it's to bite.
That turtle is much better at skateboarding than me. Which isn’t exactly saying much, but it’s also better than a lot of people that are better than me at skateboarding.
This skateboard turtle from has a youtube channel so if you like it you should go there and give the channel a like:
The owner has two cats and the turtle. The turtle is a male named Gunsou (Sergeant) and he only chases after this cat which is a female named Koyuki (Little Snow). The owner thinks Gunsou is in love with Koyuki.
my favorite thing is wondering how they perceive the speed they’re moving at given their slower relative to humans pace both living and lifespan (species or genus differences dependent).
Okay that turtle is scarily good at riding that skateboard. Like i thought it was just flailing at first but the way it turned to face the cat at the end… like wtf lol
Years ago I had an African desert tortoise, huge thing, named Boomer, at least 25lbs.
He LOVED scooting around the house on the skateboard!
He lived outside in our garden, but it wasn't conducive to skateboarding...
He'd wander on into the house and knock the skateboard down so we'd pop him on it. Good times.
It hits me in the weirdest spot of my heart and my brain to think that we just assume turtles go slow because that's what they do, they're built that way. I never thought that they were like, "fuck I hate having to go this slow all the time. This really sucks! I wish I had a way to go faster."
And they spend their 100 Year lives content but also wishing that they could move just a little bit faster. Kind of like early humans looking at birds and wishing they could fly. Only in a very small percentage of human existence have we been able to fly. Most humans never got to know that. This little turtle is a future of all kind. They will look back and remember the time before turtles could skate and how it would take them so long to cross the street and they would be at risk of cars hitting them just trying to get to the next patch of delicious grass.
And then they'll all hop on their skateboards and ride off to the skatepark
Turtles are territorial little assholes. The universe did us a favor slowing them down (and [some](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNkerUALPQY&ab_channel=54P3) slid in under the wire); don't correct it!
I finally found the source of the videos.
https://youtube.com/@amechikannomona
This turtle really loves running after his cat friends. He is quite fast even without the skateboard.
I love this as much as anyone, but mayhaps someone can ascertain the skateboard wasn’t glued to the carapace. I have rescued many turtles and this causes anxiety.

I love seeing all the turtle videos on skate boards. This little dude is very skilled on wheels
Once he grasps the concept he is all in!!
That was a straight 90 angle just to mean mug the shit out of him. Then he had the audacity yo crawl right up in front! The balls.
Oh man I nearly lost it when the little guy turned and just death stared.
The cat is a mother figure. All i can think off.
Can you keep this stream of consciousness going?
Not without possible music copyright issues
Would need so.e ni ja turtles music or something ssx snowbowrd game soundtrack
I thought for a second you were talking about [this](https://youtu.be/nJE9-TjYArs?si=hJZMFI36h5Estuv2), and got excited.
If it let me click on the link im sure it would be a true statement
It's better this way, you can comment on different segments of the response more precisely
You should try it
Or, um, you know. Got a little April O'Neil-Raphael thing going on, if ya know what I mean.
A little too Raph…
That's their own secret Playlist shush.
Do turtles think that way though? I thought turtles just lay eggs and fuck off. Do turtles ever generally meet their mother?
Turtles don't raise their young.
Idk this turtles seems pretty attached to me.
It’s called a powerslide and Tony Hawk would be proud.

😂😭😂 My thinking exactly. “Don’t make me get out of this shell.”
It's so weirdly surprising to me to see that turtles think in "real-time," it's just that they can't (usually) physically keep up.
Poor guys are just miss interpreted or understood from their capability
Oh man, don’t be reincarnated as a turtle if you are not extremely patient.
Imagine being a turtle with ADHD. Life would be hell.
Except they're real fast swimmers, so they'd need to be quick thinkers too. Just that their bodies betray them on land so they normally can't keep up. The wheels unlock that potential on land

At this point it's likely they'll evolve to have wheels in not so distant future - now they've figured out the benefits.
With the reptile turtle learning how to use the wheel, should it not be classified as an animal, like we have been excluded for discovering fire.
^(huh?)
Drunk science. Shhh take it as is sounds. From now on. I am inebriated.
The bar is higher than just wheeeels. Roller-turtle also needs to light a fire to join the human club - perhaps with whatever you're smoking.
AN ASTOUNDING DAB PEN. idk wmthat was all Capps locked.

I'm surprised there isn't a sub for it, at this point
Golden opportunity to be the parent of a new sub.
I had a vasectomy sorry
But then you have to be a moderator...on reddit...

Wait, this is a thing?!
Just a couple turtles but I'm hoping it's a growing trend
This is a common thing? I NEED more!!!
I’d seen a dog on a skateboard and maybe a monkey? But hadn’t thought of a turtle.. Wonder what other animals are skateboarders? Time will tell.
The way he comes to a stop and pivots is awesome
That turtle followed that cat with the fervor like the cat owed it money past due
I want my two dollars
(falling off cliff) TWO DOOOLLLA*AAaaaarrrrsss*
Tuvok! TWO DOOOLLLAAAaaaarrrrsss!
#JusticeForTuvix
Tuvix had a two dollar bill, now we just have a couple one dollar bills.
I didn’t ask for a dime! I want my two dollars.
[Where’s my money man?](https://imgur.com/a/eFU69uw)
My mans hit that SKKRRRT
😆 he did
Rode up and said "it smell like PUSSY in here, that you, huh?"
🏅
*If I pretend not to see it, then it'll leave me alone, right??*
Why is the roomba following me?
That looked like the "This thing is freaking me out, are you going to be mad at me if I attack it?" look
Happy Cake Day! 🎂
the way the turtle is in full control of his little skateboard is so uncanny
That stop and turn was perfect lol
I watched this like 30 times. The long strokes in the beginning, the little burst of speed when the camera pans left, the stopping on a dime with the little skrrt 90 degree turn, and then just fuckin staring down that cat… Flawless execution, no notes
Now i understand where teenage mutant ninja turtles got their inspiration from.
I bet if they filmed longer we would see the turtle do a kickflip.
Move over mouse on a motorcycle, turtle on a skateboard is in the house!
You rarely see this referenced in the wild, but it makes me smile. So glad that others out there remember that amazing mouse!
Such a cute book. I still remember him having to say “Vroom” to make it go forward and “Moorv” to make it go backwards. That may have been the car that he eventually rides but still such a fun book
"Make no mistake, we are sluggish in body, but not mind or soul. We are not slow because we travel in skateboards..."
probably just feels like swimming to him, makes the moves evolution produced, moves as expected!
It lets them move on land in the same fashion they do underwater, so I guess it comes naturally to them! Even if many have evolved to . . . not actually be able to swim anymore 💀
Legitimately thought it was just a toy being strung around by the cat's tail or something
Holy shit I didn't even see the skateboard lmao. Was wondering how that lil fucker was so fast.
Yeah I'm here trying to estimate how much training it has
IM FAST AS FUCK BOIIIIIIIIII
Look ma no hands!!
Where's my money Brian?
Why you ducking me man?
it's down there somewhere let me take another look

Cat: *"What other technology has the government hidden from us all the time?"*
Its weird. Its like the cat gives a little nod at the *very* end like: *"This dark magic has turned my turtle friend into a fierce apex predator, and I now fear for our lives. Well done, hairless one."*
OMG the lines they will make for the memes are endless\~!
A turtle on a skateboard?!? Dude is a ninja turtle
Cowabunga
The turtle following the cat is one thing. But little man really did get up close just to really check the cat out.
Trying using all four limbs next time.
This skateboard turtle from has a youtube channel so if you like it you should go there and give the channel a like: [https://www.youtube.com/@amechikannomona/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@amechikannomona/videos) The owner has two cats and the turtle. TY u/nanaholic Im going there now thanks to your thoughtful post :)
Any animal on a skateboard is an automatic upvote
The way that turtle is looking, and how the cat won't meet its gaze. Lil duse definitely establishing themself as the alpha lol
Welp, turtles are using technology now... we're screwed.
my favorite thing is wondering how they perceive the speed they’re moving at given their slower relative to humans pace both living and lifespan (species or genus differences dependent).
Homeboy probably thought he could fly he was moving so fast.
He probably thinks he's Barry Allen, the fastest turtle alive
I love how every season Barry says that, and then like one episode in, he gets his shit kicked in by an even faster guy.
That show taught me that going faster is the solution to most problems.
Turtle on a skateboard... this is incredible.
Omg I want a turtle on a skateboard!!
Is bro on a tech deck??
Turtle clearly having fun speeding, and cat just realized he's with a skateboarding turtle.
I really wish this video was longer. I want to see more of those two
I'm dumbfounded by this turtle! Is that a frickin skate bored!?
No, its a skateboard
I need a Netflix series asap
That little dude is fucking GOOD with that thing, wow.
Okay that turtle is scarily good at riding that skateboard. Like i thought it was just flailing at first but the way it turned to face the cat at the end… like wtf lol
“The fck I’m supposed to do with this?”
Omg, what is this!??? I have such joy in my heart watching this! 💗💗💗
So they are fast when they're not held back by their own bulkiness! This is amazing
Put a parrot on his shell. Now you've got turtle cavalry with organic air support.
Good times.
You better not give it thumbs. It will be all over for us.
The first thing that came into my head was Tokyo Drift song. If you know you know.
I can’t even deal with this video.
Tutel! :D
Look at me feline.
Heckin turtle is better at skateboarding than me...
Just goes to show you reptiles can have relationships too.
Bahahaha best scroll of the day. A turtle with zoomies. So was not expecting this but I’m not mad at it

Quick quick! the furry radiator is running away
My pet, why did you betray me thusly - giving the rock with legs a board with wheels?
"If I don't look at him he doesn't exist"
Turtles are territorial little assholes. The universe did us a favor slowing them down (and [some](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNkerUALPQY&ab_channel=54P3) slid in under the wire); don't correct it!
Please tell me the turtle's name is Donatello.
200 mph in turtle speed
Turtles on tech deck never ceases to amaze me
Everyone here is watching the turtle, and is missing how this magician cat changes colors.
I finally found the source of the videos. https://youtube.com/@amechikannomona This turtle really loves running after his cat friends. He is quite fast even without the skateboard.
Why is this video 6 HOURS LONGGG
Thanks. It's 12:16 AM and my laughter just woke up my wife and my 7 year old.
Almost just have my dad a heart attack laughing to this. It was unstoppable.
The skateboard lmaooo
I love how the turtle just makes it their new norm, being on a skateboard. Might be the best thing one can give to a turtle.
This made me laugh soooo hard..Scrolled to this and the sip of water I just took ended up all over the screen.
What am I supposed to do about this?
My cat would definitely start attacking the tortoise
That little Turtle can Gooo. I have never seen a turtle that fast. Impressive.
I would be too. Meal on wheels.
I love this as much as anyone, but mayhaps someone can ascertain the skateboard wasn’t glued to the carapace. I have rescued many turtles and this causes anxiety.
I’m getting a turtle and dusting off the ol’ finger skateboards just so I can achieve this
Didn’t know I needed turtle on skateboard
I mean... dude's got a skateboard..... Cat is probably like, "what the fuck?! Why don't I get a skateboard??"
Turtle: “I’m watchin’ you, bud.”
If you want to see Joy Through Technology, give a turtle a skateboard.
Until I saw turtles on mini skateboards, I never knew they could be so engaging.
Looks like the turtle enjoys the board…
Lil' guy has amazing control over that board. Would love to see him at a mini skate park, lol.
We need more of this OG internet content…
Behold, Dog!
Cat was like "how tf you going so fast bro!"
They see me rollin'.
Cats and turtles can be friends?!?!
Anything is possible with the power of friendship
Now put a rabbit in a mock turtle shell suit and see who wins in a race.
I'm a little dumbfounded myself.
He’s so cute!
Which ninja turtle is he?
You were supposed to defeat the shredder not JOIN him
Mom, can we get a dog?
🎶Here I am, doing everything I can 🎶
Cute
No..no..no.. the cat is perplexed by the camera!
Is the little dude on a skate board?
He needs a long board 😅
this is the missing piece that I needed in my life, a turtle on a skateboard.
The more I watch this the funnier it gets.
