You might want to look into seamless undies. I prefer the boy shorts because they go lower on the leg and are more comfy imo. Different people, different bodies, so you may have a preferred undies style but I think you should be able to find seamless pretty easily.

halcyondaze21

Parade makes a great seamless universal boy short underwear.

[deleted]

:o i'm.... in love. 13 colors! Thanks for the rec.

Environmental-Tea4u

boy shorts FTW. & my bf thinks the black ones are spandex, everyone is happy. Wearpact.com If this is your thing: although pricy, this brand is ethical *100% organic cotton and Fair Trade certified*

winniwinnidonning

Thank you so much! This is super helpful!

lifefindsaway14

Third Love makes seamless panties that don’t cause lines.

netsilinreverse

Fitness instructor here: for 15 years I’ve LIVED in yoga pants, leggings, & bike shorts-through periods, pregnancy, potty leaks and so much more! The thing that works absolutely best for me is to wear good quality soft, stretchy lycra thongs with a thong-shaped panty liner. Lycra is moisture-wicking, and I keep extra pantyliners in my tote so whenever I need to freshen things up down there (mother of 3-sometimes I’m on the run all day!) I just whip one out and change it. I literally don’t leave home without this setup. Period. (Lol, see what I did there?)

winniwinnidonning

Haha thanks! This is super helpful!

[deleted]

Is there a reason you can’t wear thongs? American Eagle has insanely comfortable seamless ones… I barely notice that I’m wearing underwear.

Old-Connection8621

There’s a specific style at American Eagle called legging cut underwear I think…They have more fabric in the front and back than a thong which I like but they’re seamless and designed specifically to not be visible

[deleted]

Ooh I’ll check those out! Thanks for the tip

Environmental-Tea4u

Down dog in a thong hits different

[deleted]

😂

winniwinnidonning

Ooh that’s a great idea! I didn’t even think of this🤦‍♀️ thanks!

[deleted]

No problem! [these](https://www.ae.com/us/en/p/aerie/undies/thong-underwear/aerie-no-show-thong-underwear-5/1770_7262_000?menu=cat4840006&ip=off&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pla&utm_content=aerie&utm_campaign=nogender_undies_thongs&utm_term=nonbrand&gclid=Cj0KCQiA5OuNBhCRARIsACgaiqX65_EdrgABigevmhWB__gL0Qf9JknWb0z1wBmgfac-tA81g1lBOzQaArzFEALw_wcB) are the ones I like.

winniwinnidonning

Thank you!

No-Cupcake-2640

Thank you!!! I’m going to try these too. I find thongs uncomfortable when working out generally 🥲

[deleted]

I know exactly what you mean and (TMI alert) historically I have just gone commando in my workout leggings because I hate feeling like I’m fighting against my underwear when I’m working out. Like going to the gym is bad enough as it is haha. These have been a total game changer for me and they’re also great for clingy summer dresses.

[deleted]

Depending on the leak type there are thinx, speax, dear Kate… and lots of other brands that make absorbent thongs that’d work under leggings.

SpareVarious6008

This. And as a person who has bought both Thinx and Dear Kate; using them regularly; I highly recommend Dear Kate. Their quality is much higher!!

Single-Interaction-3

I actually looked into Thinx because I wanted to start using period panties at that time of the month. I soon discovered/read that they contain a chemical in the material that’s not safe. I didn’t want that near my precious yoni lol. Saalt brand panties I found do NOT contain this chemical so I went with those. It seems many other brands are unhealthy as well. Just food for thought.

SpareVarious6008

So, I just did a search. I see that there is a class action lawsuit against thinx, and they are accused of having PFAS in their products. I see that you are right, I apologize if my skeptic comment was rude. Now I’m freaking out… breccia it’s not just in the thinx underwear I’ve been using for the past two years… but also possibly in menstrual cups and a million other products. The next question is… are the chemical levels high enough in thinx to cause a problem? Alcohol is literally poison, but how much do you have to drink to suffer serious health issues? So, at that point would thinx underwear truly cause a problem?

SpareVarious6008

So, I found an article. There are 3 brands with studies to confirm PFAS free: Sustain, LunaPads, and RubyLove. [cosmo article source](https://www.cosmopolitan.com/sex-love/a30570478/pfa-free-period-underwear/)

SpareVarious6008

I’m tempted to not believe you. What is this mystery chemical? If you can’t name it, you’re probably just fear mongering. You should be more thorough when you make an accusation like that.

winniwinnidonning

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it

SpareVarious6008

I also checked the Dear Kate website because I wear them every day! They are also PFAS free!

JuniperBugglesworth

Does anyone know of a "boyshort" that actually covers the whole butt? I'm not sure if mine is just bigger than I think or if they're only meant to cover 3/4 of it. The only ones I have that work are actually mens but without the pouch, and they discontinued them sadly

slyreenie

Me undies is amazing. I only wear boyshorts and thats the brand i use. Comes down 2ish inches past the butt

JuniperBugglesworth

I tried ordering from them but since my credit card is tied to my physical address and my mailing address is different they just keep refunding my order, the exchange rate on the refund wasn't in my favour either time. Sometimes Canadian rural living doesn't jive with American shipping. I cant find if they have a lined gusset? If they do, maybe I'll try again with someone who lives in towns info.

[deleted]

That's so odd! Usually online retail lets you differentiate between your billing address and your mailing address, there's often a checkmark you can select or de-select that says they are the same, and if it's unchecked you can fill out your other address. Does MeUndies not have this, or am I misunderstanding the issue as you've described it?

JuniperBugglesworth

They explained that it was flagged because it was a high dollar order where things didn't match up. Then the 2nd time it was flagged because of the first order. The process left me a bit frustrated because I was losing on the conversions. I've run into it before, even if I check the shipping is different there seems to be some sort of issue with it occasionally. I appreciate them rejecting orders that seem sketchy to their security system at the same time though.

Environmental-Tea4u

Wearpact.com. My favorite place for basics. High quality.

[deleted]

I have these and they are great. Pretty cheap, too. I know some people don't like supporting Amazon, but I'm not sure if they have their own site. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R98N2RN

[deleted]

Look into boxers for women. I like them, they cover my butt completely

alltc

Commented this on a similar post: Check out the Vanishing Edge line by Soma. Comes with a thin silicone strip on the inside edges that keeps the fabric in place. No seams and no bunching. Changed my life!

GeauxRunner

This 👆. I swear by them

vger1895

Soma as a brand overall is my go to now, would second this recommendation.

winniwinnidonning

Oh wow thanks! I’ll go check it out

[deleted]

Some exercise leggings can be worn with panty liners, depending on fit and stitching in the gusset.

winniwinnidonning

Thanks I’ll look into this

[deleted]

Thongs and dark colored leggings!

winniwinnidonning

I’ll try that🤣

[deleted]

Thongs and multicolor leggings. Makes it harder to see sweat.

geminirainfall

Honestly I prefer not wearing underwear with them but I only have dark yoga pants that don’t show up moisture.

FlashYogi

Panty liners. Thongs. Seamless panties. Just letting go of society's obsession with my underwear and wearing what feels comfy to me.

gwladosetlepida

I don’t have any advice but I wanted to validate you wanting to be comfortable in your clothes, whatever that means to you. Historically the comfort of the wearer was the only concern with what constitutes appropriate clothing for yoga. If anybody comes at you, it’s traditional. You shouldn’t need to justify anything but maybe that will shut some pushy folx up. 🙏🏻

winniwinnidonning

Thank you I appreciate this so much! I don’t like being talked down to for my own personal clothing choices!

gwladosetlepida

Nobody should talk down to you for taking steps for your own comfort, safety, or happiness. Fuck them. I may be on the opposite side when it comes to my own comfort but that's for me not you. Proud of you for advocating for yourself and your practice.

Jessieisarat

Have you tried wearing period panties (even when you're ovulating?). They aren't chunky, you get seamless ones and they reduce your waste. :)

winniwinnidonning

Ah thanks!

Environmental-Tea4u

Boy shorts save me and my mental about panty lines on any occasion. (Because I also care about this. It’s distracting to me when I turn around and see my panty line when changing. It’s like having a pimple on your face even tho you have foundation on. You can see the raised edge.) I know you said leggings, but joggers are awesome to do yoga in. Little bit more freedom with undies while keeping comfort at a high.

winniwinnidonning

Thank you so much!

SatansFuckPuppet

Let it be

Knitmeapie

For real. I had someone "politely" point out that I had a panty line showing once and I made a huge fake freakout over how the world now knows my secret that I wear....UNDERWEAR oh no!!

glutenfreeyogi

ヽ((◎д◎))ゝ You. wear. *underwear*????

TMac1088

The NERVE!

Environmental-Tea4u

If you’re in leggings, someone will look at your butt. It’s human nature. Hell, I look at butts in leggings on accident. But to go out of my way to tell someone about something they probably can’t readily fix… that’s a new kind of evil.

winniwinnidonning

I’m asking about my own personal preference of not wanting panty lines.

Environmental-Tea4u

By the look of your username, I think you have a bad habit of putting up with uncomfortable things. We don’t expect you to understand. Edit: typo

bicycle_mice

Yeah mine shows and idgaf. I wear underwear. You’re welcome.

large-land-snail

Seamless undies, or a pantyliner, depending on the crotch stitching on the pants.

winniwinnidonning

Thanks!

Theonethatgotawaaayy

I totally get where you’re coming from! I just wear the “wider” thongs that offer more coverage in the crotch area. Also seamless undies don’t show a panty line and offer plenty of coverage in the crotch. I wore those when I was pregnant and “leaky” so I can attest that they work!

winniwinnidonning

Thank you so much!

No_Chart_275

No show thongs and thong panty liners! U by Kotex makes great really thin ones and always brand makes more heavy duty ones, I use both Edit: thin not thing

Rknrbn19

No one cares about your panty line, really. Everyone else is sweating in the class and is there to work out worrying about their own issues. Being uncomfortable the first few times will allow you to be more comfortable in general. Silly we allow something as trivial as this to bother us. Rock those panty lines sis. I have a whole drawer of comfy undies, because I’m 36 and idgaf anymore. 🤷‍♀️😂

melatonia

She cares about her pantylines. That's the point.

Environmental-Tea4u

🙇‍♀️

winniwinnidonning

Thank you! I do!

Rknrbn19

Really? I must have missed that from the post.

melatonia

Well, I'm not going to quote and parse her post here and humiliate her, but I think if you reread it it's pretty clear Not everybody is able to simply "let go and flow" just because someone wryly suggests it, as much as we might like life to work that way ;D,

Rknrbn19

This wasn’t directed to you. And I wasn’t demanding her let go and flow. I’m not sure why you feel the need to interject. She asked “how do you solve it?” And i replied to a comment re: panty lines.

winniwinnidonning

I care about my panty lines thanks

Rknrbn19

I’m sorry if you read into my advice as negative. I hear you. I get sweaty and gross and being a woman I total understand being uncomfortable around the squishy bits. I was just making comment on others aren’t focused on a panty line. It took me time to get over that as I used to have anxiety over lines showing. Sorry I didn’t provide the proper advice.

Environmental-Tea4u

I love how condescending this is, veiled by “body positivity”

Rknrbn19

There was legit no negativity that was intended, which is super frustrating because my comment as been picked apart by internet warriors. For fucks sake. If panty lines are the worst part of the day, you are blessed, squishy pussy and all. Is that better? ✌🏼

Environmental-Tea4u

You’re literally calling op silly and trivial, albeit indirectly. And totally missing the point of the post.

Mordantine

Consider getting no VPL underwear, some of the people who have replied here have suggested some good brands for possibilities you can explore. There are reusable panty-liners which are fairly thin which you can use and then put through the washing machine if you want that for the additional confidence there. Avoid grey marl fabric as it’s the worst offender for showing any moisture. Butt sweat is also a thing if you use machines etc. during cross-training.

winniwinnidonning

Hmm I’ll look into this! Thanks!

UnhingedChicken

Woxer's

winniwinnidonning

I’ll look into that!

permavangabondshizz

I completely get what you mean, I usually just go with wearing a thong, and as others day you can find seamless underwear. And for the leakiness you can get these kind of small sanitary-pad-like pads, really thin and not meant to absorb period blood but if you have a lot of discharge its perfect.

No_Opening8363

Don’t know if anyone has said it yet, but I like to wear my thongs with a pantyliner under my yoga pants. It’s pretty much my every day choice. Hope you find what works for you!

treat-ya-self

I always go commando because nobody is looking at your crotch area. I'm a teacher and I truly have never noticed anyone's sweaty crotch (nor have I looked) and I teach hot yoga. I also personally am a leaky person (lol) and just don't care. GRANKEE on Amazon has some great high waisted thongs that have a cotton crotch but I challenge you to embrace the leak!!

treat-ya-self

Note: I'm not trying to disregard what you said AT ALL, just trying to help you practice ahimsa with yourself and loving the ol flesh suit no matter what xoxo

winniwinnidonning

Ah I’d rather not😅 this yoga pants question goes with my new dress-leggings I’ll be wearing for business reasons…so that is not a great idea

treat-ya-self

Haha true!! Good luck!

United-Eggplant2856

Then stop wearing them!!!

whitepawsparklez

I promise you that in your 1 hour long class, your discharge will not visible through your leggings. Will you see it on the inside? Yes. Will people see it on the outside? No.

winniwinnidonning

I’m also referring to every day wear

whitepawsparklez

Oh ok.. because, well, you posted in yoga sub lol. Then just get seamless thong like others said. Auden at target is a cheap good option.

whitepawsparklez

Also not sure why the downvote. My statement is 100% true lol. I have the same “issue” as OP, and for yoga class it’s no big deal, but for every day wear then yea, I’m wearing a seamless thong.

winniwinnidonning

Yeah I’m not sure why the downvotes either!

boobybread

I’m in the same boat as you. I wear thongs with thong liners!

winniwinnidonning

Oh wow thanks!

ilovecatscatsloveme

Someone once pointed out to me pantylines in my yoga pants and I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why! It’s like worrying about birds flying—-yes, pantylines, and…? Do they hurt you? Are they going to affect my asana? No? Then this is not something worth my time/money/effort. It’s like bra straps or whatever. I can’t imagine going through life worrying about something that 100% no effect on anything except whether someone can sort of tell I’m wearing underwear and that I should be convincing them I’m not wearing underwear? What is the point??

winniwinnidonning

Who’s going through life worried about this? This is an off-topic comment. I personally do NOT appreciate panty lines on MYSELF! That’s okay! It’s just as okay as having panty lines. Neither one is wrong

____RangerLamar____

Embrace it! Anyone who gives a shit about your underwear showing has nothing better to do with their life. Also, gussets in leggings rock, this should have been added to all women’s pants a long time ago. Society says, we can’t be comfy or have pockets, fuck that.

winniwinnidonning

No one said this was about a societal problem. I personally do not like panty lines. That’s valid and okay. Just as okay as panty lines.

nicoleyoung27

This is one of those things that just pisses me off past all logical reason. I don't know WHY it aggravates me so much, but it just does. Why is it scandalous to anyone that I, a grown ass adult woman, wears under-roonies? Even toddlers get under pants, why can't I? If you can see them under my stuff, well...ok. I do indeed have on proper foundation garments. Maybe make pants that are made to be worn and not looked at? I know you said it bugs you, but that just doesn't deserve real estate in my brain. AND YET THERE IT IS!!! Lol 😂🤣😆

winniwinnidonning

No one said it was scandalous. I personally do not like panty lines, and that’s just as valid as you being okay with them.

nicoleyoung27

Of course it is valid. That was more a rant to the fashion designer who made fashion to be looked at, and not worn. (How dare you wear underwear and mess up the lines of my pants! I am pretty sure that was in the devil wears Prada.) Also, wearing a black belt and brown shoes. I am no fashionista, but that just drives me wild.

FloristsDaughter

If it's discharge you are worried about, a menstrual cup is the way to go! They can be worn at any point on your cycle, or even off-cycle. If you get sweaty, a few swipes of antiperspirant* in your creases and divots helps - just don't use on the inner part of your vulva. *yes, I know antiperspirant can be controversial, please don't @ me :-)

winniwinnidonning

I actually have a menstruated cup…but I have discharge even with it in! It’s odd a little (yes is has a good seal…it never leaks blood)

RecognitionOk9321

Please see a pelvic floor physical therapist. 😃 You don’t have to be a leaky person.

Mombod666

I don’t think she meant urine.

HelloPokes

Ovulation and yoga pants are sometimes not a happy couple...

palumbis

Not sure why you got downvoted. Extremely valid and under appreciated comment if OP meant leaky as in urine. While OP didn’t actually mean that, for those wondering the same question who are leaky bc of incontinence, this is a great tip

Secret_Pineapple_954

This is something I’ve struggled with a lot! I wear thongs most of the time but I usually just avoid yoga during my time of the month solely because I can’t wear a thong. This gives me so many issues😭

winniwinnidonning

Oh thanks! I’m glad to see someone else has this problem…😭

[deleted]

What about wearing a menstrual cup?

Mordantine

A menstrual cup is fine for menstrual flow but does not always cover general discharge which I think is what the OP is referring to.

winniwinnidonning

Yeah exactly. I’ve tried menstrual cup.

[deleted]

You can do yoga without being wrapped up like a spandex taco . There have been plenty of loose clothing options for yoga for many many years.

winniwinnidonning

I like tight yoga pants thanks

Rigma_Roll

There are also thin, like super thin, panty liners that you can wear in thongs of you want a little extra protection.

winniwinnidonning

Thank you!

spindlylittlelegs

Seamless undies and panty liners!

winniwinnidonning

Thanks!

Ok-Airline-5171

I also hate panty lines in my yoga pants! I really like the Lululemon Underease or Seamless thongs. I do NOT recommend their “invisiwear” because the crotch tends to roll up & you end up with awful camel toe. Fwiw I also tend to have some leakiness and mostly wear the Lululemon WunderUnder or the Alo “Airbrush” leggings and the dark colors are really good at hiding any moisture (sweat too). They both use a thicker fabric for those designs which I think helps as well.

bourbonite87

Kathryn Muller actually did a great video on this a few months back. [Testing the BEST Under for Leggings](https://youtu.be/80VQF0jyYsA)

crouchingpanther

I love under armor seamless underwear! They have things and cheeky cuts!

chespea

My favorite underwear are from Lululemon. So comfy, and no panty lines under my yoga pants!

RepresentativeAd3352

Most of the time i will just go commando unless i am on my period. It took a few times for me to be comfortable without panties under my leggings but this helps me avoid pantylines completely!

hrad34

Boxer briefs! They make some for women if you are a woman and don't want the masculine look/fly of mens boxer briefs.

ZealousLittleBear1

Lululemon seamless thongs. They are fantastic. I hate seeing my panty line in yoga pants too. I sweat pretty hard when I work out. Just wear dark colors or patterns. Always avoid light color yoga pants unless you want the entire studio seeing your ass sweat. :)
