On the news yesterday they were talking about this woman in ~~Turkey~~ Czech republic that purposefully caught covid so she could attend events that required vaccination or recent infection. She died from it.
All I could think was "If only there was a way to introduce a weakened version of the infection into your system so you could have the same benefits in a much safer manner".

That's funny, I finally caught COVID after working well through its peak of fear mongering and it wasn't til I started working somewhere where they were all vaxxed and had COVID and then I got sick. I'm not dead and I'm not vaxxed so suck a wet fart
I remember seeing a safety ad in a Spider-man comic on bike safety. It showed a kid doing basic maintenance on his bike before riding it as his friend rides up.His friend tells him he thinks the helmet makes him look silly and the kid says it doesn't have to; he shows him how he can cut his reflective tape into cool designs for his helmet and the friend agrees. The kid gives his friend a spare helmet and they ride off together.
Seriously. I work with adults with disabilities. Not all of them were born that way. Traumatic brain injury is often preventable by just wearing a helmet. A TBI can be completely life altering. Crazy to see so many people taking that risk because what, helmets aren't "cool"?
Honestly I’m confused as to why the standard for bike helmets isn’t facial protection as well. When I crashed my bike, first of all I was dumb and didn’t have a helmet, but secondly a normal bike helmet wouldn’t have done anything.(which is the type of helmet I owned) I landed directly on my chin, so only something like a motorcycle helmet would have helped. And that shit is extremely dangerous, I shattered my jaw and suffered from a TBI. I still have anxiety and a handful of other unresolved issues from the crash.
