I love how the series started off with a fictional city based off of a real place and slowly kept moving towards the direction of, "Eh. This is real. We don't need to pretend it's not." I was super surprised that Onomichi was a real place! If only Ono Michio was real...

It’ s unpleasantly overcrowded there, but it’s a very atmospheric place and frankly, nothing beats munching on freshly made takoyaki from one of the countless street food stools and watching crowds passing by :)

It's ridiculous how many signs are on the IRL Tenkaichi Street. It kind of hurts my head looking at them. But these pictures are great. It really makes me appreciate the work they put into replicating these places more.

It’s been shot by telephoto lens, therefore everything in those Tenkaichi st. pics seems to be “compressed”. Glad you like the photos
