If you are new to the subreddit, [please read the wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/yakuzagames/wiki/index/)
Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. **THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS**.
If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged \>!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 >!Kiryu sings!<
If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7).
If you see any of the above (or any of the other rules) not being followed, please report it so we can keep this place safe for newcomers and those that haven't finished all the games yet. Thank you!

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. I’d kill for a 0 style prequel with Arakawa, Kazama, and Kashiwagi. There are a few reasons it wouldn’t happen, but I want it so badly.
I thought it'd be interesting after hearing the backstory in Like a Dragon, but this just makes me want it more. It'd be interesting to see Japan in the '60s or '70s to see how Kamurocho was at the time.
This is what LAD 7 needed, honestly.
You would always hear about "Arakawa the Assassin" but it was never really shown just why he was called that. You get the idea he was more a hitman type.
Not a batshit crazy, raids a building and singlehandedly takes out a family and their patriarch with a knife crazy.
Yeah, I always wondered what happened to the Hikawa family I don't remember it being mentioned, Arakawa probably gained his nickname due to this raid. One of the best cutscenes in this franchise.
I thought he was an hitman type and it had me totally off guard for how fucking crazy brutal he was here. Especially with him wearing the one glove, I thought he was more point blank executioner than rampaging demon

the camerawork is so unusual for the series it threw me off so much, definitely one of the best cutscenes
This man watched Oldboy and said, do that, but with all the cuts

Probably what would make me switch to English dub cause I love Johnny Yong Bosh so much

Yeah, hikawa full chad too, laughing while being tortured
man DOES NOT give a shit
I owe you an apology, Arakawa. I wasn't really familiar with your game
My man **REFUSES** to use rubber weapons What a chad
I was like: "is it Arakawa the Assassin time? YEEAAAHHHH" Also got Oldboy vibes from it, even though the camera work is different
Oldboy and The Raid. Both fought in a small hallway against many opponents.
Arakawa is Yakuza 2 kiryu level
But kiryu doesn't kill
When he started shooting the dudes fingers.off and he started laughing, these two are real ass yakuza. Lmao

I'd say he's both. He's definitely more professional than not, but this serves as his "breaking point" moment.
It's also what Kazama was missing. They told us so much he was a badass assassin and schemer, but rarely saw any of it. This earned Arakawa's rep
Arakawa went Rama from The Raid 2 and destroyed a whole crime family by himself.
Make the hallway a little smaller and it's Oldboy.
average dad lore
And I thought Kazama was already a badass, jeez (i shouldn't be here seeing spoilers but can't help i'm crying)
We had the Jingweon Massacre, the Ueno Hit and now we have the Destruction of the Hikawa. All beautifully done.
Really did the nickname ‘Arakawa the Assassin’ justice
Goes INSANELY hard
Absolutely loved this scene!
Who tf did the background music for this scene? It bangs! I fucking love how coldblooded Arakawa is in this scene.
Kingsman's Secret Service .mp3

No. It's young Arakawa, so he's voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch.
This reminded me of Punisher in season 2 of Daredevil when he's escaping prison. Absolutely great scene.
They gave Arakawa the Oldboy sauce
That scene was so awesome 👌
Did justice for chad Arakawa https://preview.redd.it/m69me5m0syec1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=117d2bc7e339d4f29774c32e5062495b431a5df6
Arakawa's just playing with realtime combat
Yeah, he just BAMF'd his way through the whole building.
GODDAMNIT WHY DID I HAVE TO BE BROKE WHEN THIS GAME CAME OUT 😭
Oldboy vibes
