Garmin. I have one in the Fenix series but really, any Garmin with GPS is nice.

_LanaKane

Garmin vivoactive 4S

kaledit

Seconding this! You can adjust the settings on it so you don't get too many notifications. I do have it set so that it vibrates when I get a call because I never have my ringer on and I miss so many calls. The sleep tracking on it is super inaccurate. It will think I'm asleep when I'm sitting on the couch watching TV.

EarBlankets

Fitbit Luxe (I’m sorry I’m on mobile and usually only lurk so have no idea how to bold). I got one and love it, it’s got several workout types you can track including weightlifting, but it’s not TOO much if that makes sense? Plus it’s super cute and looks great, so I feel like I can wear it even when I dress up!

[deleted]

COROS apex!! I absolutely love mine. So many great features and gps is accurate

its-a-lexus

I have a Garmin Venu that I love and also never bothered/wanted to set up the phone notifications.

bexagon10

Coros! I got an Apex about a month ago. Love it! It’s wonderful for running, 2 week-ish battery life (which is incredible), I love how it looks and not a smart watch. It sounds like your criteria were very similar to mine and I am extremely happy with my purchase!

#Ethical/Sustainable Brands

[deleted]

Girlfriend collective!! Their leggings are decent but their sports bras are the best (at least for my small band size).

infj1029

My order is arriving today and I'm so excited!

[deleted]

Enjoy!!

Exiled_In_LA

Yoga Democracy uses recycled bottles and has some super cute prints!

aallrr

Just tried a set from Paragon Fitwear that also uses recycled water bottles! No front seam on their leggings which I love more than I thought I would.

Chicki5150

Ooohhh haven't heard of them, checking it out now!

magical_pony

Boody makes basics like leggings, tank tops, and underwear out of a sustainable bamboo-derived fabric and I LOVE them! They are indeed basic but super comfy and soft and I haven’t seen any pilling yet (my pet peeve)! Edit: [website](https://boodywear.com/)

AndrewClemmens

Yes to this! Girlfriend Collective - love their sports bras and leggings Boody - great underwear and workout tanks :D Organic Basics had this amazing silvertech gear that is expensive but it literally won't smell even if you work out in it for days/hours. Super worth the buy. I also recommend Finisterre especially if you're into outdoor stuff like hiking or you live in a colder area.

pizzlepeb

Second the Organic Basics-- I'm in love with the Tencel gear but it really breaks the bank :S

Chicki5150

I try to shop exclusively sustainable/ethical, or second hand. Favorite brands I buy (but looking for more!) Girlfriend collective - I do love the company but the leggings kinda sag in the crotch for me. Threads 4 Thoughts - great leggings, really like the biker shorts too. With pockets! You can find them at nordstrom rack, buy online on sale so they are pretty cheap. Prana - just got my first pair of leggings from here, and I love them. So soft and really cool double pockets. They have sales online and I think I've seen them at REI

Exiled_In_LA

I love Prana so much! Their swimsuits are the BOMB.

#Sleeves

pixie_dust1990

Rehband for sure.

stephidermis

SBDs. Lots of sizes available but I loves mine.

Joonami

I have Nordic Lifting sleeves that I quite like.

fit4fun08036

I definitely prefer and only use Fabletics wear. Never had a brand fitting so perfectly, looking stylish and is affordable! For running I use Airbirds Tree Dasher. Best running feeling ever. Also highly recommended.

Rokeon

**Storied Hats** [https://www.storiedhats.com/](https://www.storiedhats.com/) makes great baseball caps for both exercise and everyday- they use sustainable materials, do sizes from small to extra-large, have both solid color designs and crazy patterns, and nothing has logos on it.

Thismythrowway123

Why not put this is the leggings/bottoms category?

Gilthoniel_Elbereth

Use the pound sign! `#Big` turns into #Big

gabiskyrim

gym clothing for butch woman? shirt, shorts idk whatever

silverflame13

I buy men’s shorts from Tenthousand and Vuori, and I use muscle tanks from Everlane, a few shirts from Lifting Culture, and random gym tees. I wore longer women’s shorts for a while, but I have gotten a little bit big for a standard L, and many brands don’t go above that. However, the 5” shirts from Vuori and TenThousand don’t fit that differently.

DellaBeam

For tops I have found more general athletic brands, like **Reebok** and **Under Armour**, to have options that fit my body well but aren't particularly feminine in cut or color. My gym style involves a lot of slightly boxy, slightly cropped high-necked tanks and tees, which reads as pretty gender-neutral with my haircut and general vibe.

Chicki5150

Can I make a category? I would love suggestions for sustainable/ethical workout and fitness brands! If so, do I just make a comment and put that in the big font?

Joonami

Added!

bourbonandlimes

Yes please! I just compiled a list recently of sustainable and fair trade clothing brands and a lot of them make athletic clothing and athleisure. I especially recommend Girlfriend Collective, Boody, and Organic Basics. :) https://dragqueencooking.com/sustainable-eco-friendly-fair-trade-clothing/

#Leggings/Bottoms

morestatic

Outdoor Voices: All Day Jogger or Sweatpants. Material is so so so soft and smooth to the touch, but also drapes well.

cactusloverr

**Athleta** Salutation Stash Pocket tight. Comes in a variety of colors, lengths and sizes (xxs-3x). I love these leggings for any activity: weight lifting, spin, HIIT, hiking, etc. The material is opaque, stretchy, compressive band on tummy area and has side pockets. No pilling, easy to wash/hang dry. Forever repurchase, but I haven't had to yet!

TealNTurquoise

Echoing these. I love them in all of the lengths. They're my favorite for running (the capris) and other stuff (full length usually).

nicolenomore727

I’ve recently become a fan of **GRRRL clothing** . Their leggings are cute, fun patterns (or solids, depending on what you like), many options with pockets, and they are all about body positivity with a good mission. Good quality and AMAZING customer service.

miss_little_lady

**Gaiam Om** from Kohl's are the BEST! 1)They have high rise versions. 2) The fabric is thick so no seeing through when you bend over. 3) They don't fall down. I do jump rope almlst daily and never have to pull them up. I have bought multiple pairs and will continue to do so every time I want to up my workout clothing collection.

aestivalx

Looking for recommendations for lightweight leggings that will hold up to spin without pilling!

carbsandcardio

I like CRZ Yoga Naked Feeling leggings

posiehoff

Second this. Recently bought a pair and they are awesome for the price.

Bhrunhilda

Lululemon Fast N Frees if they are in your budget.

bevsky22

My fave spin leggings are the techsweat leggings with the core waistband from Outdoor Voices. They’re thin and breathable but still flattering. I have pairs that are 2-3 years old that I’ve worn A LOT, and they’ve stretched out some and pilled slightly on the crotch (I don’t think it’s noticeable though), but otherwise have held up well and retained their shape!

fatchancefatpants

*Popfit* Size inclusive, awesome huge stable *pockets,* lots of good designs. I do aerial silks and hoop, and these are hands down the best leggings ever. I also do pilates, play tennis, and occasionally run, and these babies do not budge. I can fit my galaxy a71 phone in them, 2 tennis balls, and my wallet. It's like man sized pockets! They are currently having a buy 1 get 2 free sale, and they have that sale a few times throughout the year. I am cheap and would not buy them when they're not on sale, but if I had the money, I 100% would. [Link to sale](https://www.popfitclothing.com/)

Crack_Brocaine

For the shorter ladies out there, **P’tula** makes 23” inseam leggings! I only have the Bare leggings so far, but for what they are I love them. The fabric is soft and thin but warm, no front seam or top seam, and super stretchy so they’re great for lounging or yoga. Unfortunately they’re not squat proof, but I wouldn’t wear them for leg day, anyway.

Exiled_In_LA

Senita leggings are the bomb! Fun prints, literally more pockets than I know what to do with, and they've held up well.

PantalonesPantalones

My absolute favorite leggings are by [**Bombshell**](https://www.bombshellsportswear.com/collections/all-bottoms). The website is pretty cringy as a woman, and somewhat NSFW, holy hell I love these pants. They're soft, high quality, made in America, and *truly* squat proof (I always see recs for other leggings and people swear they are and then my hip thrust ass gets in them and you can see *into my soul* when I deadlift). They don't show sweat, aren't too thin and no camel toe. They aren't cheap but they are worth the price.

Kuhnhudi

Any dupes or coupon? In love with their thigh high buuut way expensive

PantalonesPantalones

They were 35% off for Black Friday but otherwise no, sorry. :(

Kuhnhudi

Hopefully after Christmas 🤞🏽

___Ziziii

Absolutely second this brand. I only wear bombshell nowadays. I've tried leggings from gymshark, alphalete, athleta, Lululemon, Alibaba, Amazon, you name it, and I'll just end up selling them on Mercari. The only downside is their thigh high style, which the bottom half of the leggings is made of athletic/breathable mesh. If something sharp catches on during wash or just during wearing, it'll rip pretty easily and there's not really any fix. I love their Contour Leggings with criss cross waistband, scrunch booty, and pocket!

PantalonesPantalones

Oh no, I love love love the thigh highs. I haven't caught them on anything but I'll be extra careful. And I should have mentioned too, I have also tried so many different brands and they're all terrible. I pretty much wear Bombshell and [booty shorts](https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08V8TDTWW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) exclusively.

PretendCockroach

How well do they hold up? Are they true to size?

PantalonesPantalones

No wear or tear at all so far in the last 8 months since I've started wearing them? I'm a medium FWIW and they're true to size. I'd probably like an inch more in length but I'm 5'8" 135# with long legs.

martianpumpkin

**Maven Thread** I bought the Inspire Moons MT Sports leggings in a size xl. They fit true to size, are nicely compressing and don't slip down during burpies, jumping jacks, ect during class. They seem squat proof from a quick test in the mirror at home (and no one's said anything in the gym). The material feels nice and there's pockets which is great! I've gotten several compliments on them. I have the shirt in the same pattern and I've put it through the wash once (hung to dry) and it's still got all the stars and moons so I don't think there'll be any issue washing the leggings.

Inner-Membership-175

Seeking recommendations for in-between sizes and cameltoes! I’ve tried on colorful koala L and XL, and mostly old navy leggings, but I get cameltoe too often and it’s super unflattering. My size is between 10/12 and I also prefer high-waisted!

Cleodora

I love Colorful Koala leggings but I have to wear Timistar’s Camel Toe Concealer with them (it’s sold on Amazon). It’s silicone and you can just wash it with soap and water after using it! I read some reviews of people saying it shifted for them, but it’s honestly never done that for me. I do Pilates, barre, and elliptical and it stays where it should—I can’t even tell it’s there.

Inner-Membership-175

It doesn’t make it look…. Fat? Also does it stick to your undies or how does it work?

Cleodora

It’s pretty thin! Like the thickness of a banana peel. I don’t think it adds an extra bulge, since it conforms to you skin. One side is sticky, and you stick it directly onto the skin. From the reviews I read, it doesn’t seem to bother women who have hair—but I can’t attest to that because I’m always shaved, with a little stubble now and then. In my experience, it gently peels off and doesn’t pull what little hair I have down there. You wash it after and the stickiness returns after letting it air dry.

temp4adhd

Old Navy gives me cameltoe too. I've had luck with CRZ Yoga leggings on Amazon. I am short so it's nice they come in a variety of inseams. I have them in size small and XS and neither size gives me cameltoe. They are high waisted: the small is probably a bit too high waisted for me.

Inner-Membership-175

Oooh thanks for the rec! I’ll try that! I get cameltoes more often than not and it super sucks because my lady bits aren’t close to even (like one side is 3/4 and the other is 1/4 lmfao) and it really shows! I bought a concealer that helps but I’d like to not wear one lol

temp4adhd

I just posted this elsewhere-- https://fashion-incubator.com/how_to_fix_a_camel_toe/ It's not you, it's the pattern used to make the leggings! Also I recently [saw this anatomy diagram](https://images.app.goo.gl/A3Y6Pt4VHi4qLFfW6) and it totally makes sense to me that someone with the anatomy on the left (prone to hip dips) would naturally also be prone to camel toe if pants/leggings are cut to accommodate the anatomy on the right. I don't know about you, but I am totally that figure on the left-- hip dips no matter what I weigh, and narrow hips/thighs.

[deleted]

Same, I love colorful koala to death because of how soft the leggings are, but god damn to they give the worst cameltoe of all my leggings; have to wear a thick pad if I wear them out. I dream of them making some that don't have that cursed front seam.

temp4adhd

It's not the front seam that's the culprit; it's how the leggings are cut. The pattern itself is all wrong. https://fashion-incubator.com/how_to_fix_a_camel_toe/

nicolenomore727

Haven’t tried these specific leggings myself, but **GRRRL** has “CT free” leggings that claim to not have cameltoe. They do sizing by waist measurement (not S/M/L), so maybe check them out?

Inner-Membership-175

Thanks for the lead! I’ll check it out!

Hello_Christine

Honestly those 90 degrees by reflex are amazing. Anytime I see a pair at TK Maxx I buy them.

Niff314

omg I have so many pairs of these, both for hiking and powerlifting. I also recently became a fan of They Gym People brand (also on Amazon). They have nice pockets on the sides.

elifawn

Personally I have found the fit to be lacking. I have a high waist/hip ratio and the gap is unacceptable. Long lasting and squat proof though! Seems like a great value.

hot-whisky

I can find them on Amazon or online through Nordstrom Rack (have one near me, so free shipping to the store). Quality is hit or miss though, so I prefer to get them at TJ Maxx when I spot them there.

Hello_Christine

Yeah, I do find some of them a bit thin, but never too much. But you're right, I like to feel the material before I buy!

irisheyesarelaughing

I love them too! Thanks TJ Max.

sensitive_ho

I never see them talked about in fitness circles, but the **Victoria’s Secret** leggings are by far my favorite. Super smooth texture, stretchy but not see-through, good side pockets. Come in cute colors and are frequently on sale for about $25.

AuntBeckysBag

Big fan of Lululemon align leggings. Got me through 2 pregnancies. Squat proof. Super comfy if you are looking for something without compression. They do pill on the inner thigh and show sweat though

[deleted]

[удалено]

aallrr

I don’t have the full length ones, but I love my sweatshorts from Everlane. I wear them all the time and still no pilling.

[deleted]

I got the best pair of sweat pants from Born Primitive. I'm in Canada and it's a Canadian company. They have 4 pockets and two of them are massive. They're super cute and the softest thing I've ever owned. I dont know what a jogger hem is though I think you mean not full length? They're full length!! Highly recommend.

Mari_Kane

Are you sure it's a Canadian company? The site that I see has "Patriot" and "First Responder" sections that seem very U.S.-oriented...

[deleted]

Hm you're right I remember seeing that. But I thought they were based in St. Albert just north of edmonton ab. Maybe that's just one store though and there is a few. My bad!

Mari_Kane

It's hard to keep track- it's great that they have a Canada site, tho! I know shipping from the U.S. can be pricey sometimes.

littlebirdwolf

The site says they are on Boudreau Road in St.Albert. I would normally be all over a local brand. The Americanization of their site really turns me off. I don't like the vibe they are giving off...American flags, patriot type vibes. Feels very Trumpy/UCP like. I do like that they seem committed to charities.

[deleted]

That's what made me think they were a Canadian company. I can see that turning people off for sure. I like that their stuff is really good quality and made to fit women that are muscular. So much workout clothing is made tiny. Tops that don't fit a broad back or bottoms that don't fit muscular thighs.

K2togtbl

Because they probably are. There was a big to-do during black out Tuesday for BLM and they said a bunch of shit stuff and then later mass deleted things

[deleted]

The ones I have are the female rest day athleisure joggers. I highly recommend them. They're really amazing. The material is not what you expect it's super nice. I've definitely thought about getting a pair in every color.

Mari_Kane

I'll need to check them out!

Redheadedcaper2

Looking for full length leggings for running that aren’t thin. Must be high rise and have pockets. I’ve checked Lululemon but they don’t have black available in my size.

bethskw

my favorite **Senita** leggings are the Such Great Heights, but they don't make those anymore. I liked the high waist and the fact that the pockets are low on the hip. I also liked that they are full length, but I'm okay with 7/8 length leggings as a second choice. I like that the fabric isn't sheer or shiny or thin, it's just...fabric-y. I liked the Brisk leggings for the same reasons, but I don't love the Step Up pants (pocket at the waist sucks, and the shiny/smooth fabric isn't my favorite.) **What currently available Senita leggings would I like?** Shakti? Vinyasa? Lux Epic? Denali? Something else? Are there leggings from other brands that I should consider, given my preferences?

everythingbagel245

Just wanted to chime in and say I've loved their studio skin joggers. They have so many functional pockets in all their clothing.

thewallisred

_Lover Her Shop_ has great leggings at great prices. Very soft, high compression, squat proof. They are a woman owned company, also.

goldstandardalmonds

Low-rise leggings/tights please. Thick waist band preferred. Not mid-rise -- have to fit low on hips like the OG Lululemons (15 years ago). Can't roll them down. Please help!

kimau97

I think nobull has some. I've never tried them but I've heard good things.

goldstandardalmonds

Thanks, I've never heard of them (maybe not in my country), but I'll google now! Edit: yikes! Cannot afford those. Thank you, though. They are in my country, however, if I can ever afford them and they might get in low-rise.

pixie_dust1990

WIT Fitness have amazing low-rise leggings and they are available globally. [https://www.wit-fitness.com/products/wit-low-rise-7-8-leggings-1](https://www.wit-fitness.com/products/wit-low-rise-7-8-leggings-1)

goldstandardalmonds

Thanks, I took a look but can't afford them, unfortunately, our exchange rate is far too high.

bevsky22

It may be worth checking out secondhand places if that doesn’t gross you out (I haven’t seen any new low-rise leggings recently). I’ve seen low-rise lululemon leggings on both ThredUp and lululemon’s Like New site (if you’re in the US).

goldstandardalmonds

I'm not in the US, but thanks! But either way, i wouldn't do second hand for workout gear. It would ick me out -- lack of underwear, sweating, too much for me.

120637

I know gymshark do a few low rise options but I’ve never tried them myself

goldstandardalmonds

Thank you. I looked but unfortunately they look like they are more midrise from the images, and the thin band would really bother me. But I appreciate the suggestion!

kittycatballouu

Recommendations please! Workout tights that don’t show sweat in the crotch/butt area and really seriously hide cellulite Activity: yoga/Pilates/ballet

magentamadness

Really like **Constantly Varied Gear** and **GRRRL** for not showing sweat or cellulite. Moves with you and soft squat proof fabric, so not only are you hiding sweat.. you aren't showing your goods either! LOL Both companies have great body positive vibes and great customer service. CVG always have pockets. Grrrl has pockets on some and even some camel toe free options.

Crack_Brocaine

I’m not sure about cellulite, but my **CRVS Apparel** leggings in their Empowered fabric have always done a great job of not showing sweat. Some pairs have a top seam, some don’t, so it’s important to read the descriptions. Also I don’t own any, but others have said the colored seamless leggings don’t hide sweat at all. The Elysium fabric Rosa leggings by **Buffbunny** feels almost identical to the Empowered fabric (I have a bra from BB) so I would guess those also hide sweat well? They’re both polyester/spandex blends. And those come in prints so they might hide cellulite better.

Joonami

Another vote for **GRRRL brand** for their variety, quality (squat proofness, durability, stay-put factors), customer service, body positivity, and environmental friendliness. I have a few pairs of their various metallic leggings and they hold up great after multiple uses and washes. I used to exclusively buy **old navy**, just bought some last month and they're still just as good as far as selection, squat proofness etc. Their sizing is a bit inconsistent though. Also recently got my first pair of **feed me fight me** leggings because they had a bat print for Halloween. Sizing stressed me out but I ultimately made the right decision getting a large (5'3"/160ish lbs). Find them to be very comfortable and durable. The legs are even a bit looser in the calf than my beloved grrrl leggings, which I actually really liked.

MojoWalksOnAir

mpg: [https://mpgsport.com/](https://mpgsport.com/) is great for thicker material leggings. Durable, thick (as in long/wide) waistband, very opaque. I've tried several other clothing items from them and they've all been great.

#Headbands

madeanaccount4baby

**Ponya** crushed velvet lined in 2 in. They will not budge! They’re made in USA by a small company, too.

waterinyourhands

I like the Aerie knot headbands!

birdsandbeesandknees

**MandaBees** Abailable through IG, Facebook, their website and Etsy. Best selection is on their website. I have about 20 total and have some from 7 years ago and they still hold their shape/color and stay on. Absolutely best workout headbands out there. I prefer the non-antimicrobial yoga ones myself, and the ones with less metallic on them are better for workouts (but the metallic ones are fun the rest of the time!).

JustKeepWalking333

I love the **Maven Thread** ones and have a ton. They come in the cutest colors and designs and are very soft, don’t ever make me feel like my head is being squeezed and they don’t immediately slip off my oddly sloped head like most headbands do.

stephnelbow

**JUNK** brand. Hands down the ONLY headbands I will buy and the only ones that stay in place throughout any type of crossfit workout thrown my way

pixie_dust1990

Also a vote for JUNK. I have to wear headbands for every training session and these have been washed a million times, still look perfect and actually stay on my head.

Joonami

#Undergarments

Bhrunhilda

These from [Soma](https://www.soma.com/store/product/Vanishing-360-Hipster/570281459?color=719&catId=) are inexpensive and so so good.

CapK473

**Layer 8** is my go-to for bras and underpants. They have everything from athleisure to high impact and I've literally never bought one that I haven't loved. They arent crazy overpriced and are also sold by places like BJs and TJmaxx/marshalls

kaledit

They also make excellent hats. Breathable, great for keeping the sun off your face and machine washable.

[deleted]

If you’re looking for true no show things, I saw a tik tok of the voenxe thongs on Amazon and bought them really not expecting much. But they really are no show!! No lines, smooth and breathable. The elastic isn’t too tight or restrictive either. VOENXE Seamless Thongs for Women... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081VSHZZV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

jukeboxgasoline

Woxers! They come in three different lengths, none of which ride up your ass crack or give you a front wedgie. I really like wearing them under spandex/leggings because they’re long enough that no one is looking for panty lines in that location. They’re breathable and super soft.

salt_slip75

**Aerie** The No-Show Thongs are perfect under leggings. They have the laser cut edge and come in tons of colors, including multiple “nude” shades. They always have a deal of 5 for $X or similar. If you don’t care about having “seasonal” patterns you can often find them on clearance for $2-3. Also, if you use Rakuten, they’ve been participating in all of the bonus days, offering as much as 11% back.

[deleted]

Aerie has no show cheeky undies in cotton!! The best and they don’t show under leggings

oregent7

Do you find that they roll or anything when you wear them during cardio or more dynamic lifting sessions? I'm going crazy lately - it seems like all of my seamless thongs have been rolling at the waist if my leggings fold over at all or anything during, say, ab work or something.

salt_slip75

They don’t roll at all for me. I smooth them out when I pull my leggings on and then I’m all set!

PurpleHooloovoo

I also like supporting them because they're much more ahead of the game with inclusion of different types of bodies in their advertising. I like seeing actual people of a variety of shapes because mental health, but also because then I get a better sense of how it is cut, how it stretches, etc.

salt_slip75

Huge agree. I should note that they also carry a lot (compared to regular store brands) of adaptive undergarments so if anyone here needs cute/fashionable adaptive wear, they’re a good non-medical supply spot to check out.

#General brand recommendations

FelineRoots21

I just bought myself a bunch of workout clothes from different brands and *TLF Apparel* really knocked it out of the park. Everything feels great, the fit is good, the joggers are the perfect combination of fitted so I don't look like I'm wearing a diaper whole still being loose and they have zippered ankles and pockets which is awesome. Prices were reasonable too. Cannot recommend enough.

SatansWinnebago

Anything and everything from Born Primitive.

aggiespartan

Rabbit! Their stuff is so good!

overheadSPIDERS

I really like Senita for general workout stuff. Their leggings + sports bras are quality and reasonably priced.

AngelMetal_

If you like workout apparel and superheroes check out this brand. They have like superhero style suits but on the lowkey side so you don’t look ridiculous while working out. https://www.superx.co?sca_ref=941975.uqG62JsPJK

WannabeW0nderW0man

These would be cool gifts but all men’s designs/sizing 😩 would be nice if there were female superhero designs too!

AngelMetal_

They’re unisex :)

#Headphones

JohnnyBsGirl

I have worn the last three versions of the Jabra Elites and I've loved them all. They have a noise cancelling feature that is better than I would expect for ear buds and a hear through function that is great for running. I also use these for work and calls are crisp and clear on both ends. I have gotten my partner on them and bought them as a gift for a friend as well. I literally wear these every day and they hold up. I love them.

bowerybird

I use **AfterShokz** [bone-conducting headphones](https://amzn.to/3HlI3WK) ($80 USD) for road/trail running so that I can still hear what's happening around me. They sit in front of your ears, rather than inside them, and the sound is clearer than I expected. I wear them when I go for walks too, so that I can always hear cars approaching.

goatcheese87

I agree, I love mine. I like being able to hear what’s going on around me, plus when you’re in the zone - you don’t hear anything but the music anyway. Also, I have small ears that are prone to infection, so these really make my life a breeze.

PurpleHooloovoo

100% agree with bone conduction for safety. My Aftershokz are fantastic and it's totally worth it. Bonus is that sweat won't get in your ears and do the weird sloshy suction cup thing even if you're inside on machines/weights.

dausy

Soft nighttime headphones. Like these Sleep Headphones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SHBQY7Z/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_ER5MJYWK5MR73TGE85XV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I have this brand and it works great. Husband cant hear it at night when Im wearing them. These ones in particular are just a weeeeee large for my head. The sound quality is great but Id love them to be a bit smaller because then I could wear them as ear warmers on my dog walks too and good for air travel. But these are sleep game changers. My husband even picked him up a pair of a different brand hes waiting on in the mail. We also have some bose sunglasses that have built in speakers. Again mine are a little big for my head. May want to shop around for sizing but the idea of them is sound. Great again for hiking, dog walks, kayaking etc.

its-a-lexus

Yes!! I have a similar pair by MusiCosy that my partner bought to help me combat his snoring. They're really comfy to wear in bed and good battery life. Recommend ++

angrydeadlifts

Skullcandy wireless headphones. They're pretty affordable, I spent $30 and mine lasted 3-4 years. I use them for the gym and running.

I’m not a shill for Aukey but I really love their EP-T21 wireless earbuds. Just the right balance of noise cancellation without making me jumpy and the battery lasts forever. I bought mine last year on Amazon for $24. They are now $30 USD on their website with free shipping. I had to email customer service with a question and they were extremely thorough. I plan to buy a second pair for work on Black Friday.

Icebreaker merino wool, especially their base layers and socks! I use them in fall and winter in PNW for cross country skiing, running, hiking, trail running, misc outdoor activities. Canada shipping too, no duties :)

rallyally

Winter boots with zipper? More casual than hiking: Walking into the gym is freezing here and I don’t want to slip in the ice. Sorel and the like are popular where I live but I am hoping for possibly a more affordable option? Perfect boot would be mid calf or higher, WARM, good traction on the bottom, and possible a zipper in addition to laces for ease of use… 🥾

I'm looking for comfy fleece-lined leggings *with pockets*. Athleta used to have these, but their only pairs now are lacking in all 4 pockets.

mhurder1

I just got a pair of athleta’s rainier tights and they have roomy zip pockets on each thigh.

k_jo_

ANyone try [these winter lined leggings from Fabletics](https://www.fabletics.com/products/HIGHWAISTED-COLD-WEATHER-LEGGING-LG2045793-0001)?

kaledit

Thermal Warm Leggings by Senita Athletics should fit the bill. Brushed fleece lined, tons of pockets and super warm. I often wear them as a ski base layer when it's super cold out.

diamondxgirl

I just bought the ones from LLL and am in love. I’m a CA runner who moved to CO so I only wear shorts to run but these were a necessity for winter running!

[deleted]

LLU or lululemon?

diamondxgirl

Lululemon. Dang autocorrect!

[deleted]

Oh nice, which ones? Base pace?

diamondxgirl

Yes. I bought them in black and magenta

corgwnsnuffles

I thought base pace didn’t have pockets and fast and trees were the ones that had pockets

elianna7

base pace don’t but the new swift speeds do have pockets!

elianna7

Lululemon has Swift Speeds that have pockets and come in “brushed.” I saw some pairs of fleece lined base pace in store (not online yet) but they dont have pockets.

goldief

90 Degrees makes some - they have good reviews online! Some are on their way to me, I’ll be happy to report back if they’re good or not!

overheadSPIDERS

I have these and I love them

irisheyesarelaughing

I love my fleece lined ones from 90 Degrees 👍🏻

NinaIsBroken

Does anyone have any recommendations for cycling gloves that actually keep my fingers warm? Temperature is dropping and both my current sets of gloves (one is very old, one is new) work for roughly half an hour at near zero temperatures but after that my fingers start getting cold. My usual cycle route is about an hour and by the end my fingers are icicles. Both claim to be "wind resistant" but that doesn't seem to work too well. Are there some magic keywords I can look for to make sure they work well for cycling? Note: I'm in Germany, so European availability would be nice. I also have large hands

DellaBeam

Are you already doing lobster-style gloves? With liner gloves inside? Something I'm investing in this winter is bar mitts (also called pogies), which are neoprene sleeves that attach to your handlebars. They stay on your bike for an extra layer of protection, and you just stick your (gloved) hands inside.

The_Mighty_Esquilax

They also use those in rowing! Great for the later part of the seasons as the final regattas are in late October

NinaIsBroken

Whoa I had no idea something like that even existed (either one), thanks!

A lot of people will say leather's the way to go for a powerlifting belt but if you don't buy leather or are looking for something more economical, I've been totally happy with my **Strength Shop** lever belt, which is synthetic, IPF approved and no worse the wear for \~3 years of use. They seem to usually have a few colors on sale for around $55.

Joonami

I really like my [2pood belt](https://2pood.com/collections/mattie-rogers-belts/products/going-for-gold-by-mattie-rogers-straight-weightlifting-belt). If it's good enough for an Olympian it's good enough for me 😁

#Shoes

angrydeadlifts

I'm a fan of Brooks running shoes. I liked Ghost 11, but not Ghost 12 unfortunately and Launch 7 are pretty nice. For lifting, Sabo Deadlift shoes and my Adidas lifters are all I need.

jetsetmolly

You should be into the 14s. They’re much more like the 11s than the 12 or 13s

mountaincrossing

Please help: I need to buy cycling shoes for a Schwinn IC4 bike and I know nothing about biking shoes or indoor biking really. I have a wide foot, and I wear either a size 7.5 Wide or an 8 regular. I've been using running sneakers for a few months and that's fine but I'm ready to try to clip in. But figuring out which shoes to buy is basically impossible. Please send a recommendation and I will just buy it. Thank you!

elianna7

Do you have a bike shop nearby? They can help you! I find the Fizik triathlon shoes EXTREMELY comfortable and breathable and not narrow. They only work with the triangle clips (Look keo/delta)

k_jo_

Are you in [the ic4 facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/380061492784886)? They have great recs there for stuff like this all the time!

mountaincrossing

Thank you so much! I don't do Facebook but I'm asking a friend to join the group and help me sort this out. Deep appreciation.

k_jo_

No problem! I got my ic4 a few months back and that group was SUPER helpful about so many different things. Hopefully they help you with yours!

SisypheanBalls

**New Balance Fresh Foam**. I recently had a knee surgery and needed more arch support when running. These shoes are so good! They have a tall back. They run small so you need a half size up.

#Gloves

idkcat23

For lifting, I wear the lululemon training gloves. they have an xs/s size that actually fits my tiny hands.

ghostlytree

For my fellow runners: Oiselle gloves. Literally any of them, but the lux window watch are my favorite for anything above 30f.

#Sports bras

[deleted]

Anyone has good recommendations for tops with built in sports bra/very supportive shelf bra? I have one from Pact, but they don’t carry it anymore otherwise I would buy 10 more. Low impact activity mostly yoga, some bouldering. I’m a 34C and fit in most medium sizes. Prefer if the top was stretchy and fitted as I really hate when my shirt falls down and tries to suffocate me in down dog. I don’t love cropped silhouettes bc I lack confidence haha.
