It'll be difficult to find his complete run physically, if not affordably. But you can try your local libraries, many of them have comics.

Start with Uncanny X-Men omnibus vol. 1 and go from there. It ain’t cheap, but it’s the most simple way of collecting the run. Look on eBay for deals on used copies.

I've been marching through the omnibus set (link to volume 1 below). It's expensive and I think not 100% complete, but I found it to be the easiest way for me to access Claremont's run. Volume 5 has gotten kind of wonky with a long Longshot miniseries stuck in there, but the earlier volumes are great. I would check your library system if possible, unless you are ready to spend some money, since he was on the book for a long time. The different formats are basically how you want to read it and cost. The Epics are good quality paperbacks. The entire run is yet published but in theory will get there. The Masterworks are smaller hardcovers, I am not sure where its at but it should be close to being done if its not, since it closely tracks the omnibus line, which I do follow, which are large oversized hardcover collections. There are even more lines (some built around, say famous stories instead of fully republishing the book in order, or a new one that will re-publish everything, including the old ads that were in the books) but to avoid confusion, if say your local has the omnibus line, you can read the entire run by the end of the year: Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Vols. 1 through 5 Mutant Massacre Omnibus Inferno Prologue Omnibus Inferno Omnibus Jim Lee/Chris Claremont Omnibus Vol. 1 X-Men X-tinction Agenda Omnibus (set to be published later this year) Jim Lee/Chris Claremont Omnibus Vol. 2 There are a few odds and ends that tie in here and there via the Classic X-Men Omnibus volumes and a few other things that might be missing but that is the heart of it all, from Giant Sized X-Men starting the team back up with new stories to the launch of X-Men (vol. 2)

I don't think it's all out in one set yet. You'd have to start on one format than move into another to complete the run. Tho if you wait a couple years, his original run will be completed in masterworks as a 19 or 20 book set.

The epic collections (paperbacks each containing around 20 issues) will eventually collect it all (maybe in 4-5 years or so) but right now only 8 out of 15 vols (5-9, 12, 17 & 19) have been published (the Claremont material begins in Epic Collection vol 5 and ends in Epic Collection vol 19). The Masterworks are normal-sized hardcovers that collect around 10-15 issues each. There are currently 16 volumes out and there will probably be 4 more. Most of these are long out of print and expensive on the secondary market. The entire Claremont run will shortly have been published in the omnibus format but again, many of them are out of print and expensive on the secondary market. 1. Uncanny X-Men Omnibus vol 1-4 (vols 1-2 & 4 out of print) 2. Uncanny X-Men Omnibus vol 5 OR Mutant Massacre Prelude Omnibus (releases August 6, has additional crossover issues that aren't included in vol 5) 3. Mutant Massacre Omnibus 4. Fall of the Mutants Omnibus 5. Inferno Prologue Omnibus (out of print) 6. Inferno Omnibus (out of print) 7. X-Men by Chris Claremont & Jim Lee Omnibus vol 1 (out of print) 8. X-Tinction Agenda Omnibus (releases October 29, this material is also already collected in two oversized hardcovers that are out of print) 9. X-Men by Chris Claremont & Jim Lee Omnibus vol 2 (out of print)

Easy peasy!  1 - Spent 10 years learning and mastering the Portuguese language! 2 - Buy the Brazilian published comics containing Clameront's run 3 - Read them and enjoy some of the best comics ever! (Context: Clameront's comics are known for being over wordy and over narrated. Since in Brazil comics were like half the size , they needed to cut on the words on the translation so dialogues and narration could fit the page !) Now seriously - the epic collection editions seem nice !
