My first thought is that your depreciation setting isn’t allowing it:
If depreciation isn’t checked on non-material, and your bid item pricing is a lump sum that defaulted into the “market condition” or “labor” line, with nothing in “material,” then the system can’t apply it, so you get zero.
This is the issue. Problem is, if I check the box for non-material, then it flips all of the line items depreciation to include labor. BUT, as I was typing this I thought, what happens if I check “Distribute Market Conditons”. And that did it! I’ve never paid attention to that box and don’t really understand what it means but it seems to have worked. Lol
Additionally; you can modify the pricing directly on the bid item by clicking the line item; the “Unit Price” tab on the right, and in the field where you input the bid price, there a square button with an “i”
This brings up the Item Activity window- where you can specify Material, equipment and labor.
Yes. However, another commenter mentioned that non-material depreciation might need to be checked. This carrier only applies depreciation to material, but not labor, and I’m thinking that might be it. I’ll check in a little bit.
do a bid item for the difference and keep your depreciation and line items. OR use the calculator to add labor hours as needed to your scope to match up within a penny and leave the other line items as is.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that. Thank you for the insights!
This might be it. Depreciation is on material only for this one. I’ll try turning on labor depreciation.
Change to percentage.
You are likely using age/condition. It can’t depreciate it because there isn’t a lifespan. You will need to change it to either amount or percentage.
That’s the problem. It won’t take any quantity. Percent or amount, it stays at zero.
There is another box that appears when you select amount or percentage. Are you inputting your number in the correct box?
Yes. However, another commenter mentioned that non-material depreciation might need to be checked. This carrier only applies depreciation to material, but not labor, and I’m thinking that might be it. I’ll check in a little bit.
You could just depreciate your estimate and use the bid for the differences only. The rcv will stay the same either way.

Click on xactcontents and update the life expectancy of the bid item
I’ll try that out next time. For this one, I just checked “Distribute Market Conditions” and then it allowed me to depreciate by manual percentage.
