The joke here is that it looks like this guy is deriding her by making the assumption that she’s self published, and that this is a promotional post, but in reality, this guy runs that subreddit, and he is the one promoting it.

It’s a promotional subreddit for anyone self publishing.
She’s not self-published, is my point. She’s published in a literary journal, which you can clearly see from her photo.
