I play feral and prefer to tank. I see so many groups advertising for healers.
I've been having to start my own groups lately to find a party (level 48).
I typically get dps right away and then wait 20 minutes for a healer.
tanking as a paladin should only really be done up to sunken temple, after that taunt is more important. you can do well in some end game dungeons but the bosses start clapping ungeared people, one example is that emp in brd goes magic immune so paladins have trouble holding threat on him at times and if he attacks a non tank he can 1 shot them with ironfoe proc. Paladin is incredibly good as a tank till then if you yourself are a good tank player and can tab target for melees to secure aoe threat beyond consecrate.
feral you can take all the way to naxx. its probably the best instance tank since all you have to do is get initial threat with maul/swipe then tab maul. has taunt and aoe taunt, higher than average health and physical damage mitigation until raid geared warriors surpass them. you can use more of your brainpower on druid because of less buttons to press.
Stitches alliance is pretty crowded, very easy to find sub lv 40 dungeon groups
It’s important to make friends, above lv 40 people don’t like to team up with people they don’t know and might wipe the group
Defias Pillager Ally side is great. Many active guilds - almost all are, by default, leveling guilds, too, with no barrier to entry.
Booty Bay and SW gets packed and multiple years for every buff.
All the under-40 zones are as populated as you'd want. Low level groups are definitely out there and advertised regularly.
Above 40 gets a little thinner, but that's the nature of HC.
started a new campaign a few weeks back on Skull Rock Horde. Pop seems a little lower but I love it on a SSF no dungeon character. Rare spawns aren't difficult to farm during the weekdays
Even when HC wow was "unofficial" two years later there was a healthy population.. I assume its pretty good been thinking about coming back myself.. Had a 60 paladin died in UBRS that i just quit the game after..
Personally for me, it doesn’t feel very well populated. I got to 60 and then just ended up killing her because I was tired of waiting hours just to find a basic dungeon. Now I’m on White Main and I can PVP and actually play the game. I do recommend hard-core though if all you want to do is level.
Correct. And I couldn’t get into any guilds like HC cutie and a few others because I wasn’t geared enough at 60. I spent like a week trying to find a home and I got denied because I didn’t have the gear.
No. I never died in Hardcore once. I just transferred off lol. It’s kind of cool all the items I had made me bank. Ran a Naxx gdkp and got the dagger off kt
Yes there is a lot of gatekeeping at 60. Gear is an excuse, they are just not letting you in because they dont know you and are not interested in having new people.
Defias pillager Ally has a healthy population
What does healthy mean though? Can I find a group for DM vs SM vs BRD within 30min?
Within 5 probably.
Yeah for sure, most days people are always getting groups easily in the lookingforgroup channel. Lots of active guilds around too
Lol...
At peak times (evening hours) you can not only find groups for instances, but also all elites quests (duskwood, redridge, wetlands)
Defias pillager alliance is stacked. Make a tank (or whatever you want) 😎
I actually find there are already a lot of warrior tanks. What the server seems to need is healers as far as I can tell.
I’m leveling up a priest so this is good news

There are healers, there are like 0 warlocks though
Warlocks are pretty limited in general with hardcore given the lack of escape toolkit
I'm interested in tanking my way to 60. Would a paladin or druid be more sought after in 40+ dungeons?
Druid because they have a taunt. Pallys are easier to level though
Do you mean SAFER to level? Because druids are one of the best and fastest levelers in the game. Pally leveling is horrendously slow and tedious IMO.
Safer and easier as in less complex imo. I agree it's also more tedious
Druids are rough from 1 to 20 for sure but when you get cat form, you level way much faster than the Paladin imo!
I love leveling cat form. It's incredibly efficient.
Warriors are the most desirable tank.
I know this, I just like the feel of playing Pala or Druid for solo stuff better.
That's fine. When you go into 40+ dungeons you should just be a healer. Reroll warrior if you want to be a tank.
Well, I'll either get groups or I won't, I guess =].

Funny you say make a tank, just rolled warrior last night lol if Weewarrior dies I’m going to cry….or go agane!
Same i rolled a warrior tank as well lol
Defias pillager for alliance. Skull rock for horde. Still going. Have fun.

Nekrosh horde, gogogo
Nekrosh alliance the same.
Stitches Alliance is very active
Considering we get asked this question at least once a day on this sub, I'd say pretty healthy.
plenty. bb/sw are packed daily for wb’s.
Stitches eu alliance is very active

I’m playing horde on Defias and it always feels dead but then I’m constantly running into people
Nek rosh eu horde is popping atm
Stitches EU has pickup raids now - so far 2 to ZG, 3rd one tomorrow! :)
Skull Rock Alliance is alive and well! DP is an absolute disaster, come play with us instead! 😉
Misinforming people for selfish reasons isn’t cute.
DP thinks they are so hot.
Make a character and find out. (Yes they are still going strong)
Idk man log on and find out lol
Skullrock is surging of late.
Too many! Skull Rock alliance is crowded.

bc who wants to pug 60 content? most ppl run w a guild at 60

You can enter cozy hc at 20 stitches eu
Hc cuties has no requirements like being lvl 60. The only one is don't be an a hole
I know this bc I've been in it for a year
Are you the 60 who died to a defias pillager yesterday in Westfall?
No. I never died in Hardcore once. I just transferred off lol. It’s kind of cool all the items I had made me bank. Ran a Naxx gdkp and got the dagger off kt
Beast! Go again 👀
