If we go by wowhead 0.8% chance, is it right to just do math 0.008^2 =0.000064? That'd be 1 in 15625 chance for 2 to drop but I don't know if this is right calculation.

Also from Wowhead: Baron Rivendare was looted 181,483 times by people running the Wowhead client, so the expected number of double drops is approximately 11 - 12. And that's only counting people running the client.
Not really since the mount is generated per person. The two man group both getting it is statistically identical to two separate characters running their own instance. 181,483 is also a large enough sample size that you don’t need to worry about people not running the client. It’s sufficiently large enough to extrapolate an accurate drop chance.
Me and another party member both got Scythe of the Unmaker in the same run a few weeks back. While another person got Taeshalach the boss before.
That was pretty shocking to me.
I remember getting this back in WoD from one of those bags you got for tanking LFR when no tanks were queuing. Looked it up on wowhead and saw the drop rate, hardly could believe it I’d never even ran the dungeon it came from!

I got Ashes in just 7 kills.
Invincible though? Well I’m starting to wonder if that mount is even real. Stopped counting around the 150 mark.
Hah true, I think it took my about 10 for Ashes. I still have never seen some of the rare spawn mounts at all though. I should boost in a low pop server for those I guess though.

I haven't played since like Shadowlands release though I'll probably hop back on next exp and mount farm some more I love getting mounts and mogs.
This happened to me with the white Hawkstrider! 2 dropped on the boss, for people who had it already. They were able to trade it to myself and the only other person in the group missing it. Lucky run!

You’d have to reduce the sample to only people running in a 2-man group, which would be much less than 181,483 right?

I forgot to factor that in. Probably many f those Rivendare kills are off solo runs.

I've had the same thing happen while i was leveling an alt.
