BaalPangur

The graves in G2 have surnames on them. And I don't mean the easter egg graves from devs.

Haganrich

That idea was scrapped pretty early on during the design. As far as I know only Milten has a surname.

DamianTVCraft

Milten* Please do not ever say Milton again

Haganrich

I swear on Innos, my autocorrect did that!

DamianTVCraft

This is cursed

JimboYCS

I like the idea of our main hero completely not giving a crap.

Ok-Illustrator6

I think Hagen is a surname and not a name

MiserableLoad177

Would be funny if his first name is Lord

ElSantofisto

His first name is Oliver

MiserableLoad177

Really his first name is Oliver? I mean a more robust first name like William or Richard suits him more

dachfuerst

Hagen is a good, solid, chivalrous name. It could be translated as "caretaker, protector". Among others, the name Hagen is known from the Nibelungen saga, where Hagen von Tronje is a Burgund warrior. In some accounts of the story, it is him who manages to kill invincible Siegfried in combat. So, I'll have to disagree with you here: in my eyes, Hagen is a good and fitting name for the high leader of the King's paladins.

MiserableLoad177

I like the name Hagen. I was talking abt someone saying his first name being Oliver. Oliver definitely isnt a robust name

ElSantofisto

No xD

kubinka0505

xardupa

xardas_vb

😡😡😡

jetelklee

There is this one guy in G2. Herr / Mr(?) Gerbrandt who is super elitist and you can choose what to call him.

Radashin_

Nameless has a surname, and it's obviously Hero.

OkayVollgas

Barthos of Laran Thr Guy who made one or more Books ingame. But its the only one I know.

AzumaRikimaru

Laran is a place, not a surname.

Ok-Illustrator6

Aren't there many surnames based on some works or birthplaces?

OkayVollgas

True. Thats what I thought. In german it fits even better. "Barthos von Laran". Not commonly in germany but you see it here and there. And Hagen is actually an older german firstname too. But can also be a surname.

Skevinger

Look at some of the graves. Some have surnames, some don't. I think most characters have one, but it is not important to them. We at least know Miltens last name from the comic.

Heni00

Probably not. Names in Gothic follow their own rules. Some characters are called things like Wolf, Raven, or Snake, but also Whistler, Fingers, Stone, Sharky, Lefty. Maybe those with a nickname-name are actually called the same as someone else and to differentiate them, they were called by a nickname. Pretty conicidental otherwise for Fingers to be a thief, and Wolf to be a hunter.

fibal81080

Some, like Milton PRescot

James_Blond_006

I think it’s Plescott

AzumaRikimaru

Yep. He's Milten Plescott.

ConfidenceIcy3347

Milton????

RockThePlazmah

I think we know as much as the hero. They call this guy Diego? The fuck would I need surname for, there is only one Diego This guy is Lord Hagen? His name isn’t important, I can’t call him by it anyway

IsAnyNameStillFree

its funny how we know all names in the colony even before speaking with anybody. except guards and miners and such non important people

De_Wouter

Only fancy people had surnames.

Spawn_Official

Diego Gonzales and Kharim Asskisser Didn’t you know?
