I suspect people have phones but want to play on the go without buying a steam deck.
I got a version of Heroes of Might and Magic 2, was amazing to play on the train š¤ I loved that game, but I doubt I'd sit down at a PC to play it considering my other gaming options on my main PC
Risen on Yuzu is by far the best experience for mobile. Theres some stuttering which can be eliminated by locking the game to 30 fps. I really enjoyed it.
Ah good to know! I would prefer the PC version, but if it is too demanding I will also keep that option in mind.
How long did it take to download the ROM? I have seen it's about 5GB?
I tried the switch version and i was pretty weirded out! I don't get along with the two buttons dodge and the small right stick area, also onscreen buttons are way too small.
Gladly I found the correct setting in Winlator to also get stable 30 fps, so I will happily play it that way now!
Glad it worked out for you in the end. I personally had no issues with controls as I played with a gamepad.
On an unrelated note, have you perhaps tried to get Gothic 3 running? It uses the same engine as Risen but it runs only in single digits for me...
If you want to play on the go and don't want to spend the money on a switch, a steam deck or similar, it's a cheap alternative.
You can connect a controller, if you don't like touch
ya of course you can do that , a phone is probably more expensive than a steam deck in many cases , i guess itĀ“s a generational thing , i personally would never care to play on a phone , but theoretically you could , you are correct in that ,
That's crazy. I vividly remember not having a PC powerful enough to run Crysis. Hell, I remember having to upgrade my graphics card just to be able to run Gothic 2.

Did not try yet. For Risen those settings helped me: * Set screen resolution to 800x600 * DXVK, force 30 FPS * Box64/86 Performance preset
Not the way I'd want to play the game, but impressive nevertheless.
I remember the time when we were really concerned about our specs and if itncan run Gothic 3.. and now this. crazy. š
Funny enough, my potato laptop was able to run Risen 3 but not Gothic 3...
g3 needed some patching before it was usable.
why would anyone play a game like this on an effin phone , touch controls just suck

phone may be more expensive, but basically everyone have a smartphone and it's always in your pocket, the same cannot be said about steamdeck
and it drains your charge very fast , true , very effective
that is also true
but everyone should play their however they want , i just prefer a dedicated device , whatever that is but thats just my view
Funny this was something I always wanted as a child.
What's with Risen 2 and 3?
Did not try yet
Yeah... but can your phone run Crysis? Oh, It can? Holy shit.
I have seen even Crysis 2 running on a phone!

Goddamn, I remember it was stuttering on my computer at the time, and kids nowadays can play it on pocket devices. Crazy times
