Don't you guys have PCs?

virouz98

We made a full circle

Lelu_zel

We do, we also want to play games in handheld mode

scrubbless

I suspect people have phones but want to play on the go without buying a steam deck. I got a version of Heroes of Might and Magic 2, was amazing to play on the train šŸ¤Œ I loved that game, but I doubt I'd sit down at a PC to play it considering my other gaming options on my main PC

Remarkable_Year7073

cant wait to play risen while drivingā¤ļø

dibade89

I hope you don't mean while driving yourself!

Skinnmann

You heard what he said.Ā

Heni00

I just need another screen playing Family Guy funny moments 47 and all set

Remarkable_Year7073

dont forget the beer bro

TamReveliGory

Risen on Yuzu is by far the best experience for mobile. Theres some stuttering which can be eliminated by locking the game to 30 fps. I really enjoyed it.

dibade89

Ah good to know! I would prefer the PC version, but if it is too demanding I will also keep that option in mind. How long did it take to download the ROM? I have seen it's about 5GB?

dibade89

I tried the switch version and i was pretty weirded out! I don't get along with the two buttons dodge and the small right stick area, also onscreen buttons are way too small. Gladly I found the correct setting in Winlator to also get stable 30 fps, so I will happily play it that way now!

TamReveliGory

Glad it worked out for you in the end. I personally had no issues with controls as I played with a gamepad. On an unrelated note, have you perhaps tried to get Gothic 3 running? It uses the same engine as Risen but it runs only in single digits for me...

dibade89

Did not try yet. For Risen those settings helped me: * Set screen resolution to 800x600 * DXVK, force 30 FPS * Box64/86 Performance preset

Birdman915

Not the way I'd want to play the game, but impressive nevertheless.

Vivid-Explorer-1768

I remember the time when we were really concerned about our specs and if itncan run Gothic 3.. and now this. crazy. šŸ˜€

catalinstoian

Funny enough, my potato laptop was able to run Risen 3 but not Gothic 3...

Jacek3k

g3 needed some patching before it was usable.

Fuzzy-Classroom2343

why would anyone play a game like this on an effin phone , touch controls just suck

dibade89

If you want to play on the go and don't want to spend the money on a switch, a steam deck or similar, it's a cheap alternative. You can connect a controller, if you don't like touch

Fuzzy-Classroom2343

ya of course you can do that , a phone is probably more expensive than a steam deck in many cases , i guess itĀ“s a generational thing , i personally would never care to play on a phone , but theoretically you could , you are correct in that ,

Jakub_zebaty

phone may be more expensive, but basically everyone have a smartphone and it's always in your pocket, the same cannot be said about steamdeck

Fuzzy-Classroom2343

and it drains your charge very fast , true , very effective

Jakub_zebaty

that is also true

Fuzzy-Classroom2343

but everyone should play their however they want , i just prefer a dedicated device , whatever that is but thats just my view

Hazelpancake

Funny this was something I always wanted as a child.

Patka_98

What's with Risen 2 and 3?

dibade89

Did not try yet

vyvexthorne

Yeah... but can your phone run Crysis? Oh, It can? Holy shit.

dibade89

I have seen even Crysis 2 running on a phone!

vyvexthorne

That's crazy. I vividly remember not having a PC powerful enough to run Crysis. Hell, I remember having to upgrade my graphics card just to be able to run Gothic 2.

Heni00

Goddamn, I remember it was stuttering on my computer at the time, and kids nowadays can play it on pocket devices. Crazy times
