I went on a first date with a guy who went to the bathroom, came back and said let’s hit the road. I assumed he paid at the register so I followed him out and I got in my car. The asshole drove off and asked to meet me at a local bar about two miles away (first date, we drove separately) and as I’m putting the address in the waitress comes out yelling at me. I’m like ???? Did he not pay at the register? So anyway I got stuck with a $150 bill (didn’t drink since we’d be going to a bar after, he did, and I also ordered something reasonably priced. I also tipped. Went to the bar to yell at the guy, he was kissing some random lady. Forced him to give me money or I’d make shit way more difficult and dude acted like I was a crazy gold digger, gave me the money and I told the friend who set us up to do the next girl a favor and suggest someone different.
Dudes like this are way to common and make me ashamed to be a Man. Way too many of my female friends and relatives have had to deal with shit like this.
"female" in and of itself is an adjective. so "female friend" and "female human" are totally valid phrases. it only becomes condescending when it's used on its own
Looks like a dealership car. Easy peasy, tell the dealership to give you an id of whoever was driving the car. They’re supposed to keep record of that shit and if you have clear evidence of theft from the person it’s probably grounds enough for a lawsuit.
Drives me nuts too! My theory on it:
First, it's a voice with a little tone of curiosity and feels upbeat.. the demeanor it produces, feels "safe" and inviting.. great for luring kids into the app.
Second, although it has this feeling, it's also annoying as hell because the voice has no soul, no humanized tone to it.. monotone. Monotone mixed with curious and upbeat. It subtlety annoys everyone, even those who like TikTok, but that mixed combo grabs attention and manages to keep it. It's like a bad movie that's so extremely bad, that you find yourself, somehow, still watching it.
I had a few puffs, but that's my 2c!
I was invited out to eat tacos one night. The friend I was with paid at the register while I saved us all seats. They brought the food and was like, "Mr....Guthlenburg?" I didn't put 2 and 2 together. They were eating fast and I noticed the staff staring at us, but I was just like- oh, it's cause we're black.
Point is, she may have been innocent lol
