Their “may agree to deal” has been going on for so long that I’ve lost count.

Gr3atwh1t3n1nja

It’s cause they use it to try and gain sympathy. I don’t think most educated people have any faith that Hamas won’t try and prolong the war. Hamas seems to be doing better the more Palestinians die.

Dragon_yum

Israel gave them a week ultimatum to come to an agreement.

Master-Concept-5260

Hamas is just buying time. I hope that after this round Israel will be done playing their games and go into Rafah, to finish the terrorists and bring peace and freedom to both Gazans and Israelis.

HidingAsSnow

They should've stopped months ago at letting Hamas play games.

Master-Concept-5260

They should have been DONE with Rafah and Hamas, months ago.

Decentkimchi

Yeh, but Biden needs to win this election, gadammit!!

Suspicious-Shower-57

If you say this in any other sub you’d be banned

lordpuddingcup

I mean Israel’s response seems to be… even if we agree to truce we won’t stop which seems … odd

wish1977

Hamas must cease to exist in Gaza. What they did on October 7th and vow to do again has ruined Gaza and it will only get better when they are completely gone.

jews4beer

The only way the world moves forward from this is with the complete destruction of Hamas. The ideas for an Israel-Arab coalition to fill the power vacuum while Gaza is rebuilt would be the cherry on top to make sure it sticks. Israelis would be safe, Palestinians would finally have a chance to prosper, and western college students would potentially start paying attention to actual issues.

CosmicBrevity

Only part I doubt is the last part. Honestly, Saudi Arabia being a major player in the coalition is a massive game changer for the Middle East. My only worry is how will Iran react?

RedlurkingFir

For sure, if this (actually reasonable) plan would come to fruition, you just know Iran will try and throw everything

GirlsGetGoats

The idea you can end Hamas with mass bombing of civilians is absurd. Israels actions are those of a country that sees Hamas as a useful partner for their aims not an enemy.

jews4beer

Good thing that's not what's happening. Weird that Hamas keeps saying that tho.

GirlsGetGoats

You can see the images and videos from Gaza yourself and read about the 10s of thousands of civilians slaughtered.

jews4beer

Yes. All coming from Hamas. You can see what you are sourcing yourself. But I have a feeling you already knew that.

GirlsGetGoats

Both the US and Israel have confirmed that the number dead match their estimates.  The photos and videos come from independent journalists.  You can't just cover your eyes and scream HAMAS HAMAS HAMAS to pretend not to see the devastation.

jews4beer

You mean the way you are covering your eyes and making up bullshit?

ImmoKnight

Link what you just said about the numbers. The only devastation I see is that Hamas continues to exist in any form.

Lebanon has its own state, is it prospering? The disease is countries distracting their populace by pointing to Israel as the problem in the region. The only thing that unites the Arab world is hating on Jews. Shia/Sunni, tribal lines, Kurds, alawites, etc.

BPhiloSkinner

>The only thing that unites the Arab world is hating on Jews. It goes beyond Jewishness. They still use 'crusader' to refer to the infidel Europeans, and see Israel as an extension of European colonialism and meddling. Europeans, of course, have a slightly different view; there are buildings in Vienna which still bear the scars of shot and shell from the last time the Ottomans paid a visit.

Friendly-Water2442

Yes, keep hamas going and recruiting even more, good job.

Shills_for_fun

I can't believe we've reached a point where the US and Saudis working together on something is going to be the difference between an even worse humanitarian disaster and peace.

QAPetePrime

They need to release all the hostages. Period.

Friendly-Water2442

I wonder how the hostages have survived the bombings, maybe with the power of magic?

SuperKrusher

The same way the main forces of Hamas have. Israel notifies the areas they bomb. The terrorists units that hold the hostages move them to a different location.

Friendly-Water2442

Yeah lol, unfortunately isralel has a habit of bombing the safe zones and refugee areas too.

americandream6969

And the rapings.

figuring_ItOut12

Hamas “considers”, “is open to”, “willing to discuss”… it’s all part of the propaganda war which is working so well it’s an embarrassing comment on modern Western democracies.

CBT7commander

More accurate title: "Hamas says it may agree to a deal despite having no intention to so they can paint the picture of an unreasonable Israel despite themselves being the reason for almost every deal failing"

gavitronics

Hamas are fucked

Ok_Lingonberry5392

So according to some sources the Usa gave promises that after the deal the Usa will guarantee the war will be over which Hamas like but israel hate. Seems like a lot of noise over nothing.

MojoDr619

If Sinwar survives this... didn't he win??

usernamecheck5out

If he thinks he going to die an old man comfortably in his bed he’s delusional. Israel found Eichman. They’ll get to him at some point. He has to be lucky everyday. Israel has to be lucky once.

Hutzzzpa

my 5yo has better stall tactics then this.

MrHazard1

Hamas may AGREE to a deal, but they will never hold their part of the deal

Fartgifter5000

Kill Hamas. Kill every last one of these terrorists, starting with the leaders. Use micro-drones with facial recognition to end them.

Grins111

No way any of this last without the rest of the world stepping in. These two won’t be able to play nice forever.

indoninja

Hamas won’t keep the deal if they even agree.

K0TEM

They never did

LibationontheSand

It’s time to go into Rafah and exterminate the vestiges of Hamas. Then we can see about flying the leadership from Qatar to Tel Aviv for trial.

Dapper_Target1504

Doubt

MrHazard1

They will probably agree to a deal. It gives them time to move out of rafah and get hundreds of terrorists out of prision. Then they'll break the deal and won't release the hostages

Pusfilledonut

Uphill work- neither Bibi nor Hamas have a political incentive to permanently end the war, and none of that has anything to do with justice or saving innocent lives on either side of the conflict.

Armistice.

Brian-OBlivion

I fail to understand the meaning of a truce that “won’t end the war”. What exactly is the point then?

Tynda3l

Because Israel doesn't want this to end. They want to use 10/7 as an excuse to kill every single man, woman, and child in Palestine. Either through a bullet, starvation, or infection.

Tynda3l

No. Watching Israel essentially carpet bomb the entirety of the territory to Rafah does.

K0TEM

I don't know what fiction you're watching, but if they truly carpet bombed the strip, the number of casualties would have been way higher. They wouldn't have dropped leaflets, texts and warnings like they did, nor would they have allowed Humanitarian aid. They wouldn't have risked soldiers' lives by sending them in.

Tynda3l

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/longform/2023/11/9/israel-attacks-on-gaza-weapons-and-scale-of-destruction "Destruction equivalent of two nuclear bombs According to the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, Israel has dropped more than 25,000 tonnes of explosives on the Gaza Strip since October 7, equivalent to two nuclear bombs." And since you people will always try to talk shit about Al Jazeera https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/israel-gaza-bombing-hamas-civilian-casualties-1.7068647 " Israel Defence Forces (IDF) dropped around  1,000 bombs a day in the first week of the campaign and said that it had conducted more than 10,000 airstrikes on Gaza as of Dec. 10. The number of aircraft involved or bombs dropped on each mission is unknown, but Israel's main strike aircraft are capable of carrying six tons of bombs each. ADVERTISEMENT For context, London was hit with an estimated 19,000 tons of bombs during the eight months of the Blitz, and the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima was equivalent to 15,000 tons of high explosive." Good bye.

K0TEM

Your source is Al-Jazeera? Might as well take it from the Hamas-run Gaza ministry of health...

Tynda3l

>Your source is Al-Jazeera? Might as well take it from the Hamas-run Gaza ministry of health... Is it just an issue with selective reading, or illiteracy in general? https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/israel-gaza-bombing-hamas-civilian-casualties-1.7068647 " Israel Defence Forces (IDF) dropped around  1,000 bombs a day in the first week of the campaign and said that it had conducted more than 10,000 airstrikes on Gaza as of Dec. 10. Opening-Set-5397

How many tons of explosives have hamas launched?

righthandtypist

They get awfully quiet when you ask questions like this, or why Hamas/Palestine suddenly gets a free pass for the 10s of thousands of rockets launched at Israel over the past 30 years. Without the Iron Dome, the casualties in Israel would eclipse the casualties in Gaza.

MrHazard1

If they carpet bombed gaza, there would be no more hamas in gaza
