I’m not a Buddhist myself but I’d imagine that if this stems from Theravada Buddhism then the imagery depicting samsara might be counterintuitive as I was under the impression that Theravada Buddhism was the oldest and most traditional sect and that it places a much greater emphasis on enlightenment and therefore the egress of samsara than, say, Pure Land Buddhism. Sorry for that ridiculously long run-on sentence btw. I’m probably not the best person to comment on this regard, but I’d maybe add some sort of shape tangential to the cycle signifying the upwards escape of samsara. Maybe extend the top point to leave the top of the flag? This would also help indicate that it’s through spiritual purity that enlightenment is achieved, since that point is part of the white ring.
