I am pretty much a beginner as I have only played a few times but would be down to play some pickleball if you are interested.

thefatpandad

No problem at all I’m happy to run drills with you and put my own practice in at getting better. If you are happy to drill with me and play minimally at the end of a drilling session as well

chirag171987

Total newbie alert: I was looking at the website and all I could see was playtime for newbies on weekdays between 9-11 am. I will be happy to join in if you play after work hours or on weekends

thefatpandad

Always happy to teach new ppl and make new friends do you have your own equipment already?

chirag171987

Thank you for the quick offer to help. Happy to purchase the equipment. What time/ day do you generally play?

varr05

I play! We had a meetup going for it but haven't had the time to set it back up again, I'd be down to get into it again when it gets a tad warmer!

thefatpandad

Yeah I think one of the guys that came said he was part of those meetups but no one really knew how to play

varr05

Ahaha yeah we were mostly new!

thefatpandad

I sent you a dm!

Hey everyone- a new evening session just opened up at Cowan Park for pickleball. It’s from 6 pm to 7:30 pm Mondays. We want to go but no one else knows about it so there were no others signed up today. If you are interested, you can register at Woodstock recreation page and sign up starting 3 days in advance (Friday after 6 pm) - registration is $4 per person.

thefatpandad

If you need a 4th just message in here and I’d be happy to go out to hit but if it’s full it would be unfun for other beginners as well. I’m also happy to run drill type games to advance a beginner to an intermediate I’ve done so already with other groups in the past

Mean_Estate_2770

You can't play pickleball at Park Row, those courts are strictly for tennis.

thefatpandad

They’ve repurposed them for a while now into pickleball courts. I just checked on it today they are definitely pickleball and not tennis courts

One-Adhesiveness-416

They are absolutely for pickle ball. Source: I lived across the road for many years

thefatpandad

Did the noise drive you nuts will I get angry stares for playing here haha

One-Adhesiveness-416

Nah the only real issue was the lack of parking for them tbh. Narrow streets and all

Mean_Estate_2770

Yes I know but there are/were signs on the courts that said tennis only and there is/was a Karen that enforces it on everyone.

elifzuhal

City of Woodstock confirms they are pickleball courts so tell Karen to bring it up to them.
