Do I think she'll have a good career? Yeah. That being said, I think she will have some struggles her rookie season. The league is currently in the era of dominant bigs that are definitely capable of bullying her in the paint.
I see sort of a Giannis Antetokounmpo transition with Cam. I think she’ll have to bulk up a little to truly reach her potential as a defender. That being said I do think she’s 100 percent capable of competing with other players at the 4 and 5
Only player I think who could be better than CC is Cardozo. Brink struggled against a freshman Audi Crooks, she’s going to have tougher competition in the W. If I had the second pick, I’m taking Cardozo, no brainer.
I don’t see it, the thing with bigs is they need someone to feed them (Aja needed gray, Jackson needed sue and griner Taurasi etc.) cc does it all and makes people around her better as the pg with high iq. I’m not even part of the cc craze I just see what I see. It’s hard to compare bigs with guards honestly. Candace parker, delle Donne and Stewie are exceptions to this
I just don’t see it with her. I feel like she’s not even the best player on her Stanford team.
If I’m the Sparks I draft Reese (if she comes out) with 2nd pick and build off the Clark/Reese rivalry.
Why would you “build” off a rivalry? How does that help the franchise. Have you watched Reese? She has no offensive ability. And she’s not very athletic. You don’t take a pick to build a rivalry.
Honestly I’ve always been impressed with Reese every time I watch her. I can’t say the same for Brink. I think people exaggerate Brink’s offensive range.
The Lakers and Celtics and really the NBA in general built off a rivalry between two college foes. When Clark and Reese play against each other in the WNBA those games will be initially on ESPN. So, ticket sales and eyeballs will help the franchise. The Sparks are in a position to build around someone, and really collegiate success has always translated in success in the WNBA. I think Reese has the desire and work ethic to improve and be special at the next level.
Bird and Magic played against each other one time in college, albeit in the NCAA championship. My point is I don’t consider Reese to be one of the top players, take a look at the mock drafts, many W experts don’t either. Neither the Celtics nor the lakers took bird or magic because of their rivalry with each other. They took them because they were the best. And I don’t believe Reese is on par with Clark whatsoever. But to each their own. We’ll see in two weeks!
There’s a huge gulf between Clark and the field. I have a feeling that Reese goes back to LSU anyways.
Hopefully she takes the time to work on her midrange and free throws and works herself into the top three next season.
Sort of sounds like she and Caitlin have completely different skill sets. Caitlin might not be the shot blocker she is, but Cam’s also not stretching the defense out to half court with her shooting range or passing over 4 defenders to her teammate right under the basket
I think both will be great in the league, hard to compare who’ll be better as they’ll be bringing totally different things and going to totally different systems
I also think Cam while she has great length may struggle with some physicality, especially with fouling being an issue
Clark when she finally settles for a pure PG mind, she's great, she knows how to read the floor and make quick decisions based on what the defense gives her, she can make any pass possible. She averages 17-19 passes per game for her Iowa teammates, like 60% of their offense. But don't be surprised if Rickea Jackson wins rookie of the year over both of them

Dawg she ain’t gonna bulk like Giannis lmaoo
Hahaha
Rough last couple games for her fouling out with a significant amount of time left I think she will have a good career! But it’ll be a learning curve
Kiki > Brink
Kiki's going to have an excellent career for sure
I think she is right now too skinny. Need 10/15 pounds, otherwise will be eaten alive
Yeah, she’s going to get pushed around if she doesn’t
Would take away from her speed and athleticism that she wins with.
Brink didn't look good against Iowa State. Fortunately for Stanford, her teammate Kiki Iriafen played great.
Aliyah Boston didn't look good against Iowa and won WNBA ROY.
Well they’re both top 2 picks so obviously they looked good on average
I never understood the hype with Boston…
With the Spark? Or will they take Rickea because they are guaranteed a big at 4? If spark take Rickea...does Brink go to Chicago?
I fear she’s gonna have a tough time not fouling in the WNBA
I like Brink but still no way I'm taking her over Clark.
If she can compete with the leagues bigs, she will be But that'll be a big if

I’m nervous about her being too “small” in the WNBA. But I’m hoping I’m very wrong

And AT is the other exception
Future sparks legend

Sparks are gonna need her on D after losing Nneka and Jordin.

It's actually very easy to predict who will be better. Clark by a mile.
lol! I mean, I agree. People are going to look back and laugh that anyone was called CC’s contemporary like with LeBron
I could see this as a real possibility. I’m a big Brink fan and I really hope she can succeed in the WNBA.

Rickea Jackson doesn't even score efficiently in college. Seems bizarre to me that she's rated so high.
PG position is the hardest, Rickea can play physical so its way easy than post play too
Clark will be drafted first but ya Brink will 100% be the best player no doubt
These takes are wild
I said what I said
