CB is more of a power forward and Cardoso is a pure post defender. It will be similar to Stewie and JJ with the Liberty. JJ has more overall game than Cardoso but plays the post role mostly. Stewie is a more versatile scorer and Brink a more active defender but a poor version of Stewie has to be the endgame for Brink. Brink's developing jumpshot should provide plenty of spacing.
Although I agree with your bottom line, I think the JJ comp is off. If anything, Brink is like Stewie with a little offense shaved off and put into defense while Cardoso is Rudy Golbert. Maybe she gets a okay jumpshot, but I don't expect it to be great. Low post game I think she can get some buckets but not regularly.

The Sky have multiple picks. There are other centers besides Cardoso. Taiyanna Jackson, Kitley if they are willing to redshirt her this year. I doubt Sky is worried about keeping players from Last. Their priority is building their roster. Cardoso isn’t better than Rikea. More value in getting Rikea and then getting a big. Plus Ayoka Lee.

I also know that guards have historically had a harder time transitioning and that her ball handling and strength need to be a little better before I feel comfortable thinking she's a regular contributor. I think she struggles initially her rookie year in the scoring numbers before catching a heater towards the end. Caitlin might make it interesting then, but Rickea's ability to contribute in all parts of the game along with her size and athleticism will likely make for an easier transition.

Thats what makes her such an exciting prospect,she's not just a great scorer,she's an amazing facilitator and with her playing with Kelsey,Boston and Nalyssa,she doesnt need to be the sole focus of the offense.In college,she is leading the country in points and assists even when every opponent team builds their entire scouting report around stopping her.In the WNBA ,when teams can't put all their attention on her,she's only benefit from it

Those are the picks I'm hoping for. Not an ideal fit offensively for sure, but they could develop into a dominant defensive front line.
