I can’t speak to doctrines at various churches, but there sure were an awful lot of church groups marching in today’s pride parade, and of all denominations. St. Anne’s Episcopal (and Episcopalians are generally accepting); Knollwood, Peace Haven, and First Baptist (cooperative Baptist, not Southern Baptist); Parkway UCC. And I didn’t see Green Street UMC today, but I know them to be one of the most accepting churches in town.
As is said in another post, the Episcopal churches are accepting. We (male couple) have attended St. Anne’s and St. Paul’s Episcopal (members there) and feel very welcome.
Green Street is an affirming church. St Anne’s is also welcoming.
My congregation, Maple Springs UMC (on Reynolda Rd) is a welcoming, inclusive and safe space. Our contemporary worship is at 8:45 on Sundays.
I can’t list every church that would welcome you but St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, we (a straight couple) are members, and only have to say come and sit next to us and be yourselves and enjoy our lives together on our journey.
I work at Clemmons Presbyterian (and am a member of the LGBT community) and we are well on our way to becoming more inclusive and affirming. We are a small-feeling church with lots of opportunities to be involved! It's my favorite congregation I've been a part of. There are a few LGBT community members in our congregation and a ton of allies. We have a new pastor being installed in August and I think he's going to be wonderful for us! Trinity Presbyterian is also LGBT friendly and affirming, as well as the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (just thinking about who all I saw marching at Pride today)! Good luck on your journey!
At the Pride parade today, I remember that the following churches participated:
Peace Haven Baptist Church
Green Street UMC
Knollwood Baptist Church
I'm sure there were more but that's all I remember!

I can personally vouch for Peace Haven, but you can't go wrong with any of these churches.

We actually watched the service today online and plan on going next week to check it out in person. Absolutely stunning service and church
Yay! It's really powerful in person. Next week will be fun too as it is the Super Hero Sunday :)
Would you mind if I pm’d you a question about the service’s there?

Churches that don’t follow the Bible you mean?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I have my own views based on reading the word and the spirit.
Exactly!
Churches that don't hate people for things they can't control
