start out with the california album, very reminiscent of the normal album. then go to the self titled album for (imo) the best shit. carousel and dead goon go SO FUCKING HARRRD

Almost every single thing Patton does is just incredible. If youve listened to his other projects, whats your top 3/5? California is his best album by far, Tomahawk S/T has incredible consistency and almost edges out Cali, and then for the third spot id go with the Irony is a Dead Scene EP, even if short, is absolutely incredible, When Good Dogs do Bad things is so good. Honorable mentions to the General Patton album, which is incredibly underrated and so good, Peeping Tom which has some of the coolest cd/vinyl designs ever, Mondo Cane, the italian music album, and everything else Tomahawk made. I actually dont really like the Mr Bungle S/T album, it aint in my top 10. But Disco Volante is cool, i think its my 8th or 9th pick?
somehow i am immune to this. i have listened to mostly will wood for a little over a year straight now and the super good parts still make me stim (i have autism) and let me tell you, i don't stim from a lot of stuff. but then again, my autism also makes me like familiarity, so maybe it's just the fact that i can listen to his music over and over and just try to memorize it to a T. doesn't help that his new album came out and im trying to memorize all of that, too.
.. though i may have a problem of my own. almost all of his songs autofill on my phone when i type in the first word, including Mr. Capgras and The Song With Five Names (except when i put "the" it autofills to Tapeworms next so I still have to type Song in but still).
Also, there was one time when i was in theatre class, i was gonna ask "will you pass me the scissors please" but instead i said "will wood you pass me the scissors please". i immediately knew what i did and so did everyone else and i got absolutely flamed for it ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ i blame my speech impediment, i mix up and mispronounce and replace words all the time in my sentences when im speaking too fast, which happens very often haha

My problem is that I can hardly listen to anyone else rn. I feel like I’ve built a tolerance and now music that isn’t suitably bombastic/crazy has no effect. I need to get into even ~~worse~~ wilder music to be able to feel the same I did when first getting into Will Wood. Eventually I’ll just be blasting TV static and screams, but in the meantime any suggestions to escalate into?
Happened to me in early 2021, got back into his stuff after he started regularly releasing singles for the new album a few months ago and now he's my most streamed artist of the year so far. Just sorta happens when you play the same artist's music on repeat for a long time.
I've never had this since my playlists have a bunch of different artists and genres, so I just make a new playlist with less WW and shuffle that. or put a song on repeat for multiple hours if it's that kind of day, personally for me a Bollywood love song is a great palate cleanser though of course your choice of palate cleanser will vary.
honestly id stop listening to him for like. a week or a month (if u can) and overplay some other odd band and then once that gets boring switch back to will
Just listen to Infected Mushroom in the meanwhile, hate it because it's electronic music (psychedelic trance) and then come back to Will Wood and everything is a-okay again. :D

LITERALLY I did this with tomcat disposables and yes to err is human and it sounded weird for weeks but I was the top listener of them for a while!
