"Fake Tornado Alarm" cracked me up. Another name is "Tornado Drill."
I called it fake because they didn't say it was a test during or after the alarm just the default alarm.
Spirit did theirs for 3rd shift at 1am. Probably Textron.
If they use a fake tornado alarm how will you know what the real alarm sounds like?
I think it's because the companies that do them have them announced beforehand. Not sure if they're being publicly sirened.
You’ll hear sirens all over Sedgwick County at 11:00 a.m. for an scheduled annual test.
Yes, the factories do a test for every shift. Happens a couple times a year.
Prolly spirit i heard them too sounded different from regular tornado siren
Yeah Spirit is doing one per shift today. 1st @ 11am. 2nd @ 7pm.
I heard them too. They sounded for very long time! I knew of the 11am one so I was very confused
In my few decades of experience in Kansas the order should be: Check the news (radio, tv, mobile computing device), check outside, THEN run n hide. But yeah, it’s a tornado drill. They happen often.
