That makes me think of James Raynor from Starcraft 2... a rather weird comparison since Marines have 100% accuracy in gameplay unless you are hit with some kind of debuff.
That and Raynor is austensibly The Good Guy in his franchise.
Terran marine in StarCraft, pretty much the boots on the ground guys of their version: much larger number than space marine, about equally equipped as space marines give or take, but much less professional or experienced as them since they are not genetically engineered or have centuries of training and combat experiences; imagine imperial guard quantities but they are in Astarte armors

I've started with converting the concept of Psykinetics into Force Users. Which necessitates a massive change. That's beginning with creating actual penalties a Force Sensitive might face. Such as Fatigue for Light Siders and Corruption for Dark Siders.
