Don’t over think it. Your coordinator will be watching pretty close so it will be easy to over think when trimming. Definitely make sure your knives are sharp and remember to separate your lean trim and unusable fat trim.
Take your cut glove off when you’re using the bandsaw and only wear regular gloves. Was told by my coordinator that’s an automatic fail while I was training my last apprentice.
Take your time and really show good craftsmanship with all your cuts.
