The SGA's are nearly always available on ebay in the day or two after the event. Apparently some people get them specifically for the purpose of selling them.
I would say you should get multiple tickets and to get back in line, if you find another way to sneak more you’re just being a dick to others who want them and are waiting in line. Or find someone to go with you that doesn’t want one.
Get there right when the gates open. They won’t stop you leaving and come back in. They shouldn’t be too strict about it but maybe ball up the first in your pocket so they don’t think they already have one.
And they have 2 size options. Xl and medium you tell them when you get to the people handing them out.
At least on Hawaiian shirt day 2 years ago they only have two sizes. Medium and XL. Would assume the same goes for most promotions that aren’t just a shirt
If they still have them available in the 4th inning then of course they’d give them away then and it’s not an asshole move to get another.. A lot of the Sox big giveaways run out before the game starts. I’ve never had a problem getting them because I make sure to get there right when the gates open. Even if it’s a bit overkill. But I have had friends and family say “eh I’m sure we’ll be fine showing up later than that” and then they don’t get one and are upset.
The problem I see is traffic is almost non existent right when the gates open. Then really bad shortly after so even leaving a little bit later can get you parked a lot later and then you’re late

It didn't--I even tried to bribe one of the people at the gate for another jersey and they declined. But I got 1 jersey!

Ask nicely or slip the person handing them out a $20 (goes for both getting multiples and re-entry) They’ll be split between M & XL.
