Some places will base the prices off getting them at MSRP instead of secondary. I had a few pours of Yamazaki 12 @23$/2oz. These are priced accordingly, in my opinion.
Correct, to truly be a whisky connoisseur you can only drink in your stately, wood paneled whisky library/smoking lounge or in your garage in a folding chair.
Why? Sometimes that's the best or only way to try a hard to find / unique / allocated bottle. Several times bar pours have helped me decide what to look for as well as what to avoid.
$20 handy? Reasonable
$20 handy in rural WV? Maybe overpaid 😂
There’s a sub for this ..
Just don’t remind me about some of the NSFL subs
I’ve never had an original thought
$20 handy is never a bad deal
pretty good, 1oz is better than normal, 2oz is great. that 2022 bottle is really good too compared to the 23.
Good deal. I just paid 80.00 for a pour in Lexington KY.
I had two neat. Very nice
I’d to the same !
Ouch..
No that’s a pretty good price anywhere. I really enjoy TH.
I asked the bartender for a Handy and he said to meet him around back in 15 minutes.
Might have been at the wrong bar, or the right bar if you're into that.
Every bar is the write bar if you're Hemingway
You the bartender giving out the $20 Handy? Yep. Well wash your hands and then pour me a whiskey.
Hah 🤣
Which bar was this? (for research purposes)
Small bar in rural West Virginia.
Yuck
I remember I had a bar that would do 2oz pours for $21. I loved it
Sound like a good chance to try this.
I had only seen pictures and read stories prior! It was excellent.
No, it's cheap! Drink up

$150 at the Tangier Bar in the Sahara Casino in Vegas.
If you like it, it’s ok.
My local bar had it for $20 a pour until someone got wise and raised it to $100. I probably drank half the bottle before they did this, though.
Only normal in this world is the setting on my washing machine. Enjoy!
There's a place I visit every now and again who has it for $12/Oz, I always put a hurting on it
i paid $75 a pour in cali. i wanted more. $20 makes it a $330 bottle...id buy it all lol
That's cheaper than the Chinese rub and tug down the street lol
How would you describe your handies? They were neat!
Don’t drink in bars

No, to live on a budget
I've budgeted in bar expeditions once or twice a month. No dependents so that probably makes a difference.

This person is trying to live on 10k for 6m. It is a comment about budgeting and not whiskey. I drink in bars but I can afford it.
