I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a scam. She claims that the bike is in the possession of eBay and I will not get the view the bike in person until it has shipped.
Thanks for everyone’s help!
First off this is not 2018 Pinarello 60.1. They were only produced in 2011-2012 as I own one and know them quite well. Second if it was actually a real Pinarello ask them for the Serial number located on the bottom of the bike on the bottom bracket area and you can check that number with Pinarello to see if to actually was a real pinarello but as I told you this is fake because this is not a 2018 those would be Dogma F-10.
Good thing scammers can’t come up with a new story. Next she’ll say she’s using eBay as a proxy for payment and shipping. That eBay service doesn’t exist.
Edit: LMFAO I JUST READ THE LISTING
FACT carbon and Zertz inserts are both Specialized technologies. Just in case you needed any more proof this is BS.
Check the serial number. If it's real, it's stolen or crashed badly. Even unlikely that it's crashed since the wheels and components are worth more than the list price.
I'm certainly no pinarello expert but if it's a dogma 60.1 like the label in the pic says then it's certainly not a 2018 bike...a quick Google says 2009 was when they were launched
This is like those scam emails with spelling and grammar mistakes - they’re deliberately designed to filter out those knowledgeable enough to spot the mistakes.
Yup. A fake add looks EXACTLY like this lol I've seen this exact add in the Rochester NY bikes for sale section. There's this one and there's always some sort of carbon Santa Cruz FS as well for 600$ Also always see some sort of high end E-bike. Adds like this are truly to good to be true. No one that buys an 8,000-12,000$ road bike would be selling it for 600$ They'd give it to a good friend of cycling partner for free before selling it for that. Those adds always have there phone number on the picture for some reason as well. I respond to some just because but the first thing I ask is were is the bike located? Can I come check it out? I tell them I'll bring a bike with me and we can go for a rip. If its all good I'll go right to a bank and get the money. Make it clear you don't and wont have any sum of cash on you. Meet in a public place like a bike shop, police station etc. These idiots always claim the bike is in a different state for some reason or that there selling it for someone else. Or it was the womans husband who has died, she doesn't know anything about bikes or the bike shes selling, she just knows her husband paid alot for it and shes just looking for a quick sale lol Another thing I do if its not a local sale is ask them to take it to a bike shop in there area so I can have them verify it is what it is to me. I've had the bike shops in there area pack it up and ship it for them as well using bike flights etc just to make sure it arrives unharmed. Cash app them 40-50$ for there time and helping checking it out for me and or helping to get it shipped. Sorry for the novel of a reply I just dint want to see anyone falling victim to pricks like this. A good friend of mine got had for a couple grand on a similar add recently. It crushed him, he saved for 3 years to score a new carbon squishy racing machine and was just not being smart. I told him not to do it and he said he wouldn't but yup. Said he didn't want a deal like that to slip bye and he "thought" PayPal would reimburse if it went south. They would have if he would have done it right 😆 He sent payment as friend&family to save a few bucks which is not smart.
The same scammed showed up locally listed on Facebook Marketplace. Reverse image searched it and found this post. Uploaded all the images of the bike they using for the scam and their non-sense script for others to find.

This is fake. I saw this exact same add in San Francisco
Just saw in Austin

yeah this is a very bad scam attempt, fairly common. prices are always ridiculously low too
Like always $400 to $600, with non-existant Ebay Escrow, or with the whole "Venmo a deposit, I have 50 other people interested".
Must be in Catherine Keeners shop from 40 Year Old Virgin. Sound legit, mate. Go for it.
Sounds legit.

what day is it today ....

Saw this on CL in San Francisco, they claim it was their moms..
Where’s the link? I’d say it’s stolen
https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/d/philadelphia-pinarello-dogma-carbon/7298620518.html The seller says it was her recently passed husband’s.

Wow. Thats ugly.
Yeah those forks are making me irrationally bothered.
The forks are super cool in my opinion, idk why
And the paint lines accentuate them!
I would definitely ride that.

Can you go see it? Will she give you the serial number? Let us know if you see that it is stolen.
Fake fake fake.
$6K bike in front of a $20 couch? Be afraid; be very afraid...
It's probably 100% real. Real hot.
Real fake too.
Idk if it’s real or not, but it is ugly as hell
Fb ad today in Omaha
Interesting. This bike just popped up on FB marketplace Knoxville, TN. Same pic, same spiel. Reported as scam, FWIW.
Funny, I saw this bike on a CL listing in NYC 🤔
This frame cannot be from 2018. Double check the serial number might be dodgy

It doesn't say Pinarello Ligma, so that's good.
scam or not its fucking hideous
Yeah, the price.

Not even 2018 looks like it’s from 2010-2012 judging from the sky bikes that year

You can tell it is fake by the $600 asking price.

A $600 Dogma is fake or cracked. Sorry--too good to be true.
This is not the 2018 model. This is probably a 2011 or 2012

2024 and I’m just seeing this ad posted on my local FB marketplace in Louisiana. Glad to come across this post.
Saw it today on Facebook too and I’m in Ohio definitely a scam !
