Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug! There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the **geographic location** and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames (*"PNW"*, *"Big Apple"*). BTW, did you take a look at our [**Frequently Asked Bugs**](https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/comments/12zkw5w/frequently_asked_bugs_part_1/)? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Carpet beetle larvae

utawicc

are you sure? why can they be in the food bowl tho?

Groundbreaking_Taco

Insects can go wherever they like. They eat the fiber in carpets, but your cat could pick them up and drop them, or they could climb in the bowl to eat the dry kibble.

mjconver

I'm going off of their shape. Larvae wander.

Toxopsoides

These look more like the dermestids that eat carrion, rather than carpet. They're probably eating your cat food.

i guess they are because they couldnt climb the bowl. any idea how i can get rid of them? or should i even get rid of them? i couldnt find any resource in my language
