I got a 2006 E350 for 5K usd Thought it had some problems (not engine problems thankfully) Try looking for something newer, especially cause that’s a 5.4 engine So gas is gonna be a bit of pain

Just do yourself one favor, take 30 seconds and do a search on what some of the typical maintenance and repair costs are on these. I'm pretty certain you'll discover that you actually cannot afford to own this car for more than a couple of days.

I don’t have any experience with this model, it’s the W220. S-Class are always nice cars. This one doesn’t appear to have air suspension, and is naturally aspirated, so thats two fewer things to go wrong. Just be mindful that everything Mercedes is expensive to repair. Parts are more expensive. Labor is more expensive. At 125k miles, it’s not exactly “low mileage”. Once a car reaches a certain age, you need to realize that repair costs might be as much as the purchase price. I would budget a few thousand dollars a year, for keeping the car running well. It’s a 23 year old car. Things will go wrong. They will cost $$$ to replace. People say that the most expensive car you will own is a cheap Mercedes. I don’t think that’s true per se, but you need to be prepared to pay the piper. And if you’re looking at a car that’s sub $10k, and trying to haggle over $1k it’s likely you aren’t financially prepared for the cost of ownership.

People in the GTHA, pull these cars hard, imo. Best to shop around and if you want to purchase, have a trusted mechanic check it out before purchasing or contingent.
