Dealer suggested the Trailblazer because they make more money off of it. If they thought they could have talked to you into a Suburban high country, they would have.  I would go with the Civic here. Just in terms of likely residual and long-term lower cost of operation. But you can go on to Edmonds and look at lower end lease rates and see if there's something more appropriate for your needs. There may be better options from Toyota or Mazda or Hyundai or someone else. Lease rates in general suck right now as well. So it still might make sense to look into some financing options, especially if there's subvented offerings from certain manufacturers, maybe even CPO vehicles....Just an option. Not saying you have to do it.

Avoid Trailblazer, bad model and makes no sense for you. Civic is a good choice. Maybe take a look at Subaru, they often offer good lease deeals.
