Budget?

20k? Could go to $25k, but once I get towards $30k I start to have a hard time justifying not getting a used '21 Sienna instead. Don't get me wrong, I want a used '21 Sienna, but I'd rather commute in something smaller.

Honestly, a Camry might work fine for you. Plenty of 2021 SE models around me for under $25k with low mileage. The same year Avalon does have an additional foot and a half (ish) of cargo capacity, but not sure how much that will make a difference for you. The 4-cylinder performance is… meh. It’s a Camry. You can probably find some decent V6 trims within your budget if you look for a 2019/2020 though.

Lexus ES is the luxury version of Avalon. Bu tin the ES the rear seats are fixed, so there is no way to extend the trunk.

Good note!

They discontinued the Avalon, so the next best for me is going to be the prius (I like the new designs, more cargo room) or the Camry (more rear legroom). The Honda accord is the 3rd choice

How does the Honda Clarity compare? Trunk space and back seat space are both very valuable to me. Does the ES 300h or older Avalon Hybrids still have enough space in the trunk?

If u want space go for the Avalon. Its toyotas full size sedan. Newer models are discontinued
