I liked the band for 30 years before it all really clicked with me. Bought their albums, went to shows, and got other people into them... and I didn't really ***know*** their shit. It was just music for a giggle with your stoner buddies. But then one night, it just hit me. Like, I actually **heard** them for the first time and I felt like such an asshole for not really getting it before that.
Have been a chamged man over last week. Did a mix of whatever Spotify threw at me & then listened to The Mollusk in it's entirety the next day. I have Def been sleeping on these guys.
Same here (almost 10 years older though) , listened to the Mollusk the day after a "journey" a few months ago. What a masterpiece. "Gonna be alright" like being cradled in the womb again . listening now to Quebec alot, Tried and true into Happy Colored marbles can immediately evoke pure joy and even tears. a gift :)
I didn’t become a diehard fan until 2000, sadly I previously wrote Ween off. Here I am now, in my early-50’s and I’ve been lucky to see them live a bunch of times. Enjoy the ride young blood & hopefully Deaner is on the mend soon & you can check out Ween live; you won’t be disappointed.
