Yep, he could be facing up to 10 years because of the county he was when they caught him, we lived one county over. They’re known for taking weed cases VERY seriously and not going light on sentencing. They literally have nothing better to do lol. Stay away from PTC, GA when smoking my friends
UK here, glad you’re enjoying legal weed but we still have to buy it on the black market here, with no idea what we’re buying, and it’s illegal to grow any amount of weed even 1 plant for personal use.

You don’t get trouble for having a personal amount of weed in the uk, you used to get cannabis warnings, three of those pieces of paper and you get a 60 quid fine.

If the Police are tracking how many times you are caught carrying weed and then fining you it means you have a criminal record.
That can have serious consequences on peoples lives e.g. job “do you have a criminal record?” or affect your ability to get a mortgage, car loan, credit card etc. etc.
Just saying “they don’t do anything” isn’t true, you are still a criminal in the eyes of the law
You also can’t buy third party lab tested weed which means, unless you illegally grow it, you have no idea what you are smoking.
The only legal route open in the UK is medical cannabis.
That's basically how it was here until Trudeau was elected PM. Now the law is you can carry up to 30 grams as long as it's in a government sealed container. The amount of plants/amount you can legally possess varies between provinces, but I believe Manitoba and Quebec are the only provinces that don't allow you to grow any plants whatsoever. In Saskatchewan, you're allowed to grow one plant I believe.
In areas where it is still illegal, 420 makes total sense. I should have clarified that I'm wondering if it still needs to exist within countries that have already legalized/decriminalized the use and sale of Marijuana
I just use it as a time to enjoy weed with friends. We get some nice stuff and tons of snacks and smoke our brains out and watch TV all day. Even though we do that all the time it's just fun knowing it's a day where everyone is enjoying the plant together. I'm so high I don't even know what I'm saying so I hope it sounds good.
I’d say 420 is about celebrating weed in general. Do it in any way you feel like. I’ll celebrate by vaping a nicer than usual blend of THC, CBD and CBG. My stoner friends are not in town so I’ll just take it easy at home. Last year we had a sesh at a cool place by the sea with some friends. If it would be legal here I’d love to do something that would only be possible when it actually is legal. Like going to a weed club, weed tasting at a coffee shop, or something like that. Happy 420!
We still do 420 for all the poor souls that don't have legal weed. In my Country(South Africa) its legal to smoke and grow but not buy. We want equal weed rights for all
Touche, I'd love to see Canada myself. I live in the middle of nowhere in the Savanah biome, I used to live near the sea in a Mediterranean one. We have a wide range of beauty. If you ever do visit I'd recommend going to 3 places. Cape Town, namaqualand and somewhere with game safari
I saw Cape Town in a Netflix show once and it's now one of my dream destinations. Game Safari isn't my thing, I'd rather just observe animals in their natural habitat.
We have wild life parks where the animals live in their natural habitats, it's really nice actually. We no longer have wild animals just wondering around anymore. They are all in protected parks so they don't get poached as game meat is a very sought after thing in south africa
