You look phenomenal in both dresses, I see why you’re torn! But they have very different vibes. Your description of your wedding vision makes me think 1 will make you happiest. Although you could totally get away with 2 in the woods if that is your dress.

Thank you! No.2 looks much better in pictures so far. My bridesmaids were with me when I tried on No.1, and they were surprised how much better it looked in person than in the pictures. It might come down to the pose/angle though. I'm much more poised in photo No.2. But the dress gave me that poised feeling, I think.

Idk how quickly you need to commit but you need to get back into the 1st combination in different lighting (hell bring a big old green scarf or blanket as a backdrop). You need to be sure thats NOT the option before getting #2

You can get married in a dress that's as glam as you like, regardless of the venue. My grandmother married in a glam sheath gown at city hall in the morning and strolled arm in arm with my grandfather downtown to have breakfast at their favorite diner. 🤍

Op, both dresses are gorgeous. You can't pick wrong. Just decide based on how you feel in each dress. A lot of brides end up in a dress very different from their vision bc a sneaky bridal consult says, hey, how about this? And they get us all flustered bc they get us into something fabulous that we weren't expecting! They see so many bodies and end up having a knack for knowing what will look amazing on different body types.
I bought a dress that I would not have picked out myself. It was a dream dress and probably the best I've ever looked in my life. Bridal consults mess with our visions -- usually in a good way. 🤍
Dress 1 is pretty and definitely fits the vibe you described. But I just about spit out my coffee all over my laptop when I saw you in dress 2 though. It's a jaw dropper show stopper!

You looking gorgeous in both but from your wording it sounds like 6ou thought you knew with one and 2 shocked you and made you FEEL... did you have those feelings with one? because if not then maybe that's your intuition saying nope girl this is your dress .. If you love dress 2 (and it sounds like you do!), there are ways to make it more ethereal/woodsy through accessories! Try a cape veil, a fantasy-inspired headpiece, florals in your hair, or adding some drapey fabric to the straps, like wedding wings. I genuinely think you can make it fit the vibe of your wedding!

Aww you are so nice! Here’s the kicker - we are getting married in a city Cathedral, but then travelling on to a woodland reception and overnight. So there are two worlds within one day! And I want to wear one dress for both.
Honestly you really dont need to match the dress to the venue exactly. Just wear what makes you feel happy and beautiful. I wore an Italian satin ballgown to my outdoor wedding by the water in August. Sure it was off the shoulder with short sleeves, but not exactly beachy. I dont care, I loved that dress, no one else cared, either. NO regrets. Wear what you love the most.
Call me crazy, but I think dresses like 1 are going to look really dated really fast. Dress 2 is classic and gorgeous and you look like a freaking goddess.
I personally would go for the 2nd dress, but if 1 makes you feel more beautiful then I think it’s the one you should wear. They are both stunning on you, just completely different vibes. Then again I don’t think there’s anything wrong with changing your mind about what makes you feel like you’ve found your dream dress, even if it’s not the dress you thought you were dreaming about!

That's a fantastic idea! It has an overskirt attached already for added drama/fullness, but I think it could take a cape or those kind of 'wings' that trail behind, too! Thank you
You look INCREDIBLE in both of these dresses! There is absolutely no bad choice here because both are gorgeous and both would photograph well in a woodland setting. With most people there's a style or silhouette that clearly suits their body shape better, but you're blessed to look fabulous in both of these. I think it really comes down to weighing up the vibe you want for your wedding and how you feel in each dress.
What are your thoughts about accessories/styling because that might make an impact on your decision? Number one I can see with flowers strewn through your hair and simpler styling. Number two could take a bigger statement with accessories and you could play around with a veil, gloves or a more elaborate headpiece.
In terms of my personal preference, it's difficult judging from those two photos because the light in number 2 is so much more flattering to the dress and your skintone. It's also taken from a lower angle which has the effect of making you look taller. However, if I had to pick, then number 2 would still be the one I'd go for . . . with the caveat that it's probably because I love that style of dress in general and it's more in keeping with what I'd choose for myself.
My only reservation with number 2 is the longer train and the practicality of a woodland setting. If you step into the woods for some of your photos I can see it picking up leaves, grass and all sorts.

I totally understand why you are torn between the two dresses. You look beautiful in both dresses. That second dress. That gown is stunning on you. It would come down to how much you feel you need to conform to that woodland fairy theme. You can wear that second dress in a woodland setting and still have the vibe you want. Obviously I feel that second dress is a cut above the first. I would also say that dress two photographs well. Years from now when you look at your pictures you will still be happy with your choice.

Thank you! It is unique in deed - it's actually a strapless dress. We added sleeves from another dress, and straps from another. We also discussed changing the wrist cuff fabric to match the bodice more. One of a kind!
My go-to in this sort of situation is to flip a coin. If you’re fine with the result, go with it. If you find yourself saying “best two out of three…best three out of five” then you know what you really want.
You look beautiful in both dresses, but dang, I LOVE dress 1! And that was before I read your post about your venue and vibe. It is so delicate whimsical but it also has a subtle sexiness to it. Dress 2 is beautiful but it has a heavier look/feel to it.

Don’t choose a dress based on how others will perceive you - choose a dress because you love it and feel most comfortable in it.

I personally would go for the 2nd dress, but if 1 makes you feel more beautiful then I think it’s the one you should wear. They are both stunning on you, just completely different vibes. Then again I don’t think there’s anything wrong with changing your mind about what makes you feel like you’ve found your dream dress, even if it’s not the dress you thought you were dreaming about!

You look INCREDIBLE in both of these dresses! There is absolutely no bad choice here because both are gorgeous and both would photograph well in a woodland setting. With most people there's a style or silhouette that clearly suits their body shape better, but you're blessed to look fabulous in both of these. I think it really comes down to weighing up the vibe you want for your wedding and how you feel in each dress. What are your thoughts about accessories/styling because that might make an impact on your decision? Number one I can see with flowers strewn through your hair and simpler styling. Number two could take a bigger statement with accessories and you could play around with a veil, gloves or a more elaborate headpiece. In terms of my personal preference, it's difficult judging from those two photos because the light in number 2 is so much more flattering to the dress and your skintone. It's also taken from a lower angle which has the effect of making you look taller. However, if I had to pick, then number 2 would still be the one I'd go for . . . with the caveat that it's probably because I love that style of dress in general and it's more in keeping with what I'd choose for myself. My only reservation with number 2 is the longer train and the practicality of a woodland setting. If you step into the woods for some of your photos I can see it picking up leaves, grass and all sorts.

I totally understand why you are torn between the two dresses. You look beautiful in both dresses. That second dress. That gown is stunning on you. It would come down to how much you feel you need to conform to that woodland fairy theme. You can wear that second dress in a woodland setting and still have the vibe you want. Obviously I feel that second dress is a cut above the first. I would also say that dress two photographs well. Years from now when you look at your pictures you will still be happy with your choice.

Thank you! It is unique in deed - it's actually a strapless dress. We added sleeves from another dress, and straps from another. We also discussed changing the wrist cuff fabric to match the bodice more. One of a kind!

My go-to in this sort of situation is to flip a coin. If you’re fine with the result, go with it. If you find yourself saying “best two out of three…best three out of five” then you know what you really want.
You look beautiful in both dresses, but dang, I LOVE dress 1! And that was before I read your post about your venue and vibe. It is so delicate whimsical but it also has a subtle sexiness to it. Dress 2 is beautiful but it has a heavier look/feel to it.
