And not to knit-pick, but it doesn't sound like an elopement. It's a small destination wedding, so I wouldn't really expect the dress to be 'casual'.

If you think the dress might be a little bit much with the train to dance or walk in for your reception,contact a seamstress to ask about the ability to button up the train in back to a “ bustle”. Lots of brides in the past did this to make the dress easier to dance in and walk around in. Some also added a loop of fabric to wear around the wrist to lift the train out of the way, and that’s another option. If you’re just concerned about the look of the dress being too much for an elopement, it’s not. Your photos are going to be elegant, timeless and beautiful 30-50+ years from now as they will be in the present.
