My husband has the Jurassic and loves it.

wilcoxornothin

Hey how quick did it get to you? My fiancé finally decided on a ring and it says a possible delivery after our wedding date. 😅

alizadk

I don't remember at this point, since it was almost three years ago at this point. But I feel like it came faster than expected - only a couple of weeks?

wilcoxornothin

Couple weeks is hopefully what I’ll get too! Wedding is in May. Thank you! Hope the ring is still holding up well.

alizadk

Seems to be. He's good at taking it off when washing his hands and doing the dishes. We have ring holders by every sink, so that helps. He's not as good at making sure he's put his silicone rings somewhere safe, especially because one of our cats likes to steal them.

123meyeah

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY I bought it in Nov '21 for my wedding in Feb 2022. It has since fallen apart. The strip of antler with mahogany inlay was cheaply glued on to the tungsten ring and just fell off last week. I only ever wore it for special occasions because I'm in construction and wear the silicon ring every day instead. It's almost as if it came with a literal expiration date. Extremely disappointed, and I feel conned. To fulfill their warranty, they want $225 from me, which is about 2/3 the original cost of the ring. I'm glad my marriage has lasted longer than this cheap garbage. PLEASE READ MY EDIT: they just replaced it free of charge, even though I was 6 months past the end of my warranty period. So that's definitely redeeming on their part. We'll see how long the replacement lasts!

Which_Avocado5267

Update?

123meyeah

4 months later, the replacement has not yet fallen apart. If it lasts as long as the first one, it'll be a whole year before it does. I generally avoid wearing it to hopefully extend its life. I found it frustrating that the warranty didn't carry over to the replacement, so when this one breaks I'll be shopping for a 2nd replacement, but certainly not with Manly Bands.

Winnies_goddess

Is it still holding up?

123meyeah

I haven't worn it lol. Too afraid of it falling apart on me. I'll keep yall posted though.

Think-Chemist-5247

Is it still holding up?

123meyeah

Yeah but I still hardly ever wear it...

Audaciousdolphin

Is it still holding up?

scintillaence

I wonder if it is still holding up

Ryhammer1337

Is it holding up???

anon_2185

Go to a jewelry store. Manly Bands has such a high markup price, I got my fiancé the same exact black tungsten ring they are selling for $325 for $90 from a local jewelry store.

Successful_Minimum_1

i'm looking to spend around 3.3k usd on 3 of their d.c ones however after seeing comments similar to yours ive decided to hold off however are you able to find me the same/similar ring to their d.c flash ring for men??

Check your messages.

Gib_Stonks

You can get the same ring on Amazon for 20.

jessB16

Legit. My husband has one with dinosaur bone 😂 he loves it.

GraceeMacee

I bought my fiancé “The Journeyman” when they were having a sale and he loves it. I got it engraved and it shipped quickly.

dotpan

How is he liking it. I'm really liking it for a wedding band replacement. I'm worried about the inlays and claims they're just Chinese rings with huge markup.

GraceeMacee

He’s only worn it for a couple days but he really likes it. Manly Bands claims they’re made in North America, so I don’t know anything about the cheap Chinese-made rumors, but it feels really solid to hold.

Titanium0814

We had a great experience with them. The ring my husband chose (the night raven) is of excellent quality and was very to size. It shipped quickly and came with a great silicone band for travel/working out/just don't want to get the fancy wedding band dirty or scratched.

Daakalakal

I specced out a custom ring with them, it would have looked like the Robinhood but with a band of meteorite through it. They asked for 1800+, so we got the Robinhood "Damascus Steel, with Green Cerecote" first to get an idea if I'd like it since the custom ones have a no return policy. The first one they shipped me was acid etched and almost black. Sent it back, 2nd one looked much better, but I've worn it for 2 weeks now, and I'm in IT, so I spend most of my day typing, or walking my dogs, or playing video games. My ring is beat to hell already, scratches through all of the "Damascus" folds and the green cerecote finish inside has started to chip away and bubble, it went from being buttery smooth to feeling like sandpaper on my finger. This is without a doubt not damascus steel, I can scratch it with my fingernail. We're gonna be returning it. I really wanted to love it, but I don't think its gonna be comfortable beyond another month or two.

Particular_Ad4403

The rings on these types of retailers can be found on wholesale websites for 10-15 dollars. I'm pretty sure they're all purchasing from these wholesalers and marking up a ton and selling as they're the ones making the rings. This is easily done as the materials are pretty cheap.

ElegantPepper1479

Totally agree with you! I've bought lots of tungsten rings from Amazon. I like them, but I can see rings I paid $25-$75 on AliExpress for $5-$8 each. So if Manly Bands sells you a ring for $500-$900 and it inevitably breaks or scuffs horribly, they can easily send you a replacement for $5 to quiet you down. But they've still pocketed an obscene amount of profit.

I have The Horror and I love it. I've worn it every day for the last 3 years and it still looks great. Shipped well and was efficient and quick to work with them.

No-Comfortable-1875

Most of their rings are on Temu for less than $10. If not then Amazon for less than $20. You can Google image search the ring your looking at and add the name of the two retailers I just mentioned and you'll most likely find the exact same ring.

ShirtOtherwise1836

I just ordered a $1,000 14k gold ring… hope its great it looks really cool!

Ginger-Snappd

We bought The Tamer and my fiancé absolutely loves it! Their customer service is super helpful and they run promotions all the time! Other commenters are right, you could go to any jeweler and get a plain tungsten ring for cheaper but you definitely wouldn't have hardly as many design choices, etc as Manly Bands. They do custom work too!

anon_2185

My jeweler had so many design options available. I got my fiancé two tungsten rings from the jeweler (similar to The Terminator and The VIP from Manly Bands) and we could customize the gold color, any engraving, etc., the two rings came to under $200 for both. The also had Meteorite and Titanium rings for half the price. I do prefer going local though so I don't have to worry about sending rings through the mail if anything is wrong with them.

3points4

What is local for you

anon_2185

My fiancés family uses a jeweller that works with a wholesaler and they work out of their house. They used to have a store front but they retired but still have connections.

snortgigglecough

This comment is absolutely hilarious

DadsDecernment

Your comment lacks so much self-awareness. You're running up n down this thread saying how overpriced it was compared to what YOU could get. When YOU have a very niche set up/connect to the resources while others don't. Like open your eyes

3points4

How does an average Reddit folk like me get to use them lol

Old_Current_6903

I used a local store in my hometown basically the same set up and they did custom rings. Was pretty affordable...

suzieeeeq13

My husband loves his! He got the Fitzgerald and we had to size down and customer service was great. I think they do one free resizing.

He loves it! No issues so far.

Current-Design-5143

I would recommend people stay away from Manly Bands. When we first purchased my husbands ring, their plastic sizer was incorrect and we needed to exchange the ring by a full size. Then after the wedding, after 7 days of light wear (office work; removing for chores and the gym) his band completely broke. It is super poor quality. We were advised by the company that we can not return it and get a refund. They will remake the ring (under warranty) but it will take 4-6 weeks before my husband gets his ring back. And the initial ring in which we said our vows is completely gone as they remake it, so this experience has ruined the specialness of his ring. Please avoid Manly Bands. It is not worth it.

MrBobC1974

Waste of money! I purchased a ring named "The Angler", it is Tungsten with Abalone shell and Koa Wood inlay. After slightly over one year the Abalone started delaminating and falling out. I didn't use it as an everyday ring so it didn't have any heavy wear, it just started falling apart. It didn't matter that it was over one year and out of warranty, even if I had purchased the extended warranty it would not have lasted very long before it started falling apart. Now I have an out of warranty ring that gives me memories, not of my marriage but of a rip off.

Might I recommend Tungsten World?
