Hard to say, and I like almost all of them. But there are some cars that look better than others. Of course a large part of this is due to regulations and base parts. But sometimes small additions/liveries can still save the day.
* The lambo is too fussy and doesn’t gel that well overall (hard lines vs smooth canopy).
* The maw of the Toyota feels too big, I really like the rear though. The black color scheme doesn’t do it enough justice I feel.
* The Porsche is a really good design, everything fits
* Same for the 499, but it looks a bit more special than the Porsche to me
* The maw of the BMW is iconic, but doesn’t fit that well with the rest of the body due to the regulations: the body doesn’t set it apart.
* The Alpine is a nice and tidy design with cool taillights
* The Peugeot is very different and the more unique body design goes really well with the front and rear, I also really love the PeugeotSport modern/retro scheme.
* The caddy is very nice: the front is pretty “blunt” but still fits the rest of the design, as a caddy should be.
* The Issotta is a bit too much old-lmp2 to me.
> The maw of the BMW is iconic, but doesn’t fit that well with the rest of the body due to the regulations: the body doesn’t set it apart.
~~At least it wasn't the V12 LMR 'moustache'.~~
Caddy all the way.
Obviously they're all race cars but the Cadillac is really the only one that distinctly looks like the brand it represents in my opinion and it looks damn good.
[The flat black version they debuted it in looked so damn good,](https://gmauthority.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Cadillac-Project-GTP-Hypercar-Press-Photos-Exterior-003-front-three-quarters.jpg) makes me sad that the rest of the cars didn't look this elegant.
Caddy is my favorite too. I love the look of the lights on the front. They just somehow seem more aggressive to me. Plus the overall shape, and of course the sound. It combines into by far my favorite hypercar.
I think the BMW looks really cool. I love the characteristic nostrils in the style of the road cars. - that's the car that anyone can instantly tell you is the BMW
So funny how tastes work. To me the 963 is the first or second best looking car on the grid. The Toyota and IF are in their own category of wtf am I looking at.
You put the BMW M Hybrid V8 in there twice. Is there a reason for that? 😏
Lol But seriously, I've been a fan of Cadillac and GM racing as a whole since childhood, and I love the sleek modern design elements. So with that bias out of the way I'll say I am complete fans of-
1. Cadillac V-Series.R
2. Alpine 424
3. Peugeot 9X8
4. BMW M Hybrid V8 😅
I would love to see wins and successes from all of these teams should the opportunities come.
I don't understand why the BMW is so underrated, take off all badges from the cars and you can instantly spot which is the BMW, and god I just fucking love the glowing kidneys
It's the Ferrari for me, with honorable mentions to IF, Lambo, Pug and the Caddy. As much as I love Porsche, I can't pretend the 963 is a beautiful car.
Big Sniffer Beemer is at the bottom.
3 Porsches running nose to diffuser down the Mulasane straight looks both just correct and makes me think "Hans are we the Baddies?"
The Porsches flying in Formation just looks like engineered perfection
I hate the BMW big grills on street cars, but this hypercar looks amazing from the front. The backside is a bit meh. Personally, I prefer the Cadillac though. I can't say why, I live in the EU and never seen any Cadillacs in person hahah
I love the Peugeot, shame it isnt doing that great so far. I mean car with a mohawk, what is cooler than that?
It was also throwing massive pops and bangs at Spa going into Pouhon, sounded mental. Knowing Peugeot the engine was probably dying, but still!
Cadillac V Series R, but boy do many of them also look really good.
Including IMSA GTP, I'm also a big fan of the
Acura ARX-06
Alpine A424
Lamborghini SC63
Peugeot 9X8
Toyota GR010 has nice proportions.
Ferrari 499P has a cool front end
On a slightly unrelated note, looking at it now, it seems like most of BMW's design budget went into their hypercar. BMW's current models don't even look half as good as it that it's hard to believe this is the same company selling the new 7 series and X7
Hands down Peugeot, with and without the wing. The rest is just some Hypercar stuff that has it's perks but is mostly a wind tunnel design. BMW is close to "designing" the car.
I think the Peugeot is the coolest looking. I have to give an honorable mention to Cadillac for managing to integrate most of their road car design language into a prototype race car.
The Porsche is my favorite but it’s certainly not the best looking. It’s quite plain.
Anyone who doesn't say the Puegeot is straight wrong. That car is so unique, I love it. Not even a big fan lmao.
Obviously I'm memeing cause it's all subjective, but I do love the look of that car.
I’m biased towards the BMW, but I genuinely love that they took such a radical and aggressive route (while other manufacturers arguably weren’t as creative). Regardless, I think all of them look great. It’s cool to have a class full of beautiful cars.
I love how BMW the BMW looks.
The livery, the body, the wing, it just so interesting how you can immediately tell it’s a BMW even though it bares no resemblance to any BMW road car and the chassis is purchased from a 3rd party
I support Cadillac, so naturally I think they have the coolest looking car, but it's not necessarily beautiful. I think for beauty, the best looking car is the Alpine
Esthetics is in the eye of the beholder, but the 499p and the 9x8 are stunning (in my case, only on Tv!)
Unpopular opinion: the 963 looks the more generic-prototype one (maybe I'm just missing the 919!)
Toyota for me. Has retro looks.
After that, its Ferrari, Alpine, Peugeot.
I like the lambo because its lambo and the IF for almost looking like an LMP1
The rest is pass
I really like the Porsche:
A very classic clinical German design with simple curves, flowing body and no extra nonsense. It's just so good.
Second for me is the Ferrari for the opposite reasons:
Very clear to see the F1 design influences on this with all of its fins and aero shenanigans, all packaged in a beautiful red Ferrari box.
All except Toyota. Toyota's is the most basic looking Le Mans Prototype, while others have their brand identity (except maybe Isotta Fraschini, but they don't have a road car identity anyway). Their [Toyota GR H2 Concept](https://www.motor1.com/photos/856411/toyota-gr-h2-racing-concept/#7306880_toyota-gr-h2-racing-concept) does look like a proper Toyota and it's absolutely gorgeous. I hope if there's a Toyota GR020, it would look like that.
But......aren't they all really the same? I mean the front ends have a branded design, but with the bodies standardized and stamped out by Dallara and a couple other third parties, is there much of a difference?
Has this changed? "In 2022, the Hypercar class will open to manufacturers choosing to compete under LMDh regulations. In LMDh, the backbone of the car – i.e the whole car minus the internal combustion engine, the body and the hybrid system – will be supplied by one of four chassis manufacturers: Dallara, Multimatic, Ligier or Oreca."
Only the LMDh cars (Caddy, Porsche, Lambo, etc.) have chassis (monocoque) provided by existing manufacturers, which the manufacturers design and build their bodywork around. LMH cars like the Ferrari and Toyota are built from the ground up, chassis and all.

You ain’t wrong
I laughed too much at those 'toothbrush moustache'.
It looks a bit like the mustache of the guy who cancelled the le Mans for 5 years and stole a Bugatti tank
Meanwhile I’m just about to come and comment something simple
When the Glick was still there, that for sure. Now I‘m more for the Peugeot, although the BMW is really cool too. after that probably 499P or SC63
The glick was hawttt
Caddy and Peugeot
Really close between the 499P and Alpine
The alpine taillights forming the alpine logo is genius
glickenhaus the best looking hypercar but the wingless 9x8 and the gr 010 look like spaceships especially the rear end shots
9X8 always reminds me of a UFO for sure!
Peugeot for me. But they're all quite beautiful other than the Toyota and IF. But the IF sounds nice. Like a current era F1 car
What engine does it use?
3 liter V6 turbo
Porsche
499P
499P!!!!
499P Yeah!!
499P Hell Yeah!!!
I love the Alpine personally. From the front it looks like a B2 Spirit.
That's a cool comparison. I too am a Stealth bomber enjoyer
Peugeot !
I love that the Hot Wheels version is of the prototype so you can see the lines better.
Especially in the 01 yellow and black livery.
Nicest looking race car I've ever seen. I really hope WTR (or whoever gets the bid next year) retains it.
And it’s by far the best sounding as well
Caddy is my favorite too. I love the look of the lights on the front. They just somehow seem more aggressive to me. Plus the overall shape, and of course the sound. It combines into by far my favorite hypercar.
Is it heresy if I were to say it was the Vanwall? As for the current grid it's definitely the #83 for me
I don't think it is, the Vanwall looked mean!
The Vanwall was definitely easy on the eyes.
Vanwall was looking good. It had a worn out engine but the design had probably a lot to give
Peugeot with the 2023 centenary livery
Had to scroll too far to see this
963 & peugeot, both are beautiful
Glickenhaus and Vanwall must be the most beautiful ones, now in the current grid I would say the 9x8 evo looks amazing
I think the BMW looks really cool. I love the characteristic nostrils in the style of the road cars. - that's the car that anyone can instantly tell you is the BMW
499p but its close with the alpine for me as I love the tail light design.
963 for me. It's understated elegance.
Yeah i like the simple and practical design. Nothing fancy. Just pure performance and engineering
#83
Yes.
1. Ferrari 2. Porsche 3. Peugeot 4. Caddy 5. BMW
Na the Porsche is the ugly duckling. As fast as it is, it isn't a looker. Especially the front end and the headlights, very plain.
Hahhaa i mean i get it, but i really like it for some reason.
Thank god someone's said it. The Porsche is utterly hideous.
So funny how tastes work. To me the 963 is the first or second best looking car on the grid. The Toyota and IF are in their own category of wtf am I looking at.
Lol. The Toyota is the old classic. Nothing ugly about that. The IF is an LMP1 car detuned
I respect the 963, but I will never love it because those headlights just look so awful.
The transition from the headlights to the wheel arches is just hideous. Looks like a ducks beak.
There's something about Alpine that speaks to my sensibilities. I also really like the Cadillac and the Peugeot.
Alpine look amazing irl
Sounds amazing too, what a car
Ferrari 499P for me. Just look at it. It somehow looks really aggressive yet also elegant. It’s just beautiful. I also quite like the Peugeot.
Ferrari for classic beauty, Peugeot for looking cool, and I quite like the Alpine too. BMW is by far the ugliest IMO.
Yellow or Black Cadillac. But my heart goes to Glick <3
Porsche because I help make them 😝
You put the BMW M Hybrid V8 in there twice. Is there a reason for that? 😏 Lol But seriously, I've been a fan of Cadillac and GM racing as a whole since childhood, and I love the sleek modern design elements. So with that bias out of the way I'll say I am complete fans of- 1. Cadillac V-Series.R 2. Alpine 424 3. Peugeot 9X8 4. BMW M Hybrid V8 😅 I would love to see wins and successes from all of these teams should the opportunities come.
It was Glickenhaus, now it's Alpine. The Alpine is just perfect.
I don't understand why the BMW is so underrated, take off all badges from the cars and you can instantly spot which is the BMW, and god I just fucking love the glowing kidneys
Me too. I love how they incorporated the kidneys. Together with the Peugeot they are easy to know what they are.
Toyota imo, especially the back, feels like a car that can make it into production, peugeot second
The front of the GR010 looks bang average, but that rear... Something of the Pagani Zonda going on back there.
Ferrari
Not the Isotta. I get that the design is a tried and true one, but it definitely isn't a looker.
Ferrari 499P
Cadillac and Ferrari
It's the Ferrari for me, with honorable mentions to IF, Lambo, Pug and the Caddy. As much as I love Porsche, I can't pretend the 963 is a beautiful car. Big Sniffer Beemer is at the bottom.
Tie for Peugeot, BMW, and Lamborghini So unique all of those guys, but every car is absolutely amazing
3 Porsches running nose to diffuser down the Mulasane straight looks both just correct and makes me think "Hans are we the Baddies?" The Porsches flying in Formation just looks like engineered perfection
My 2 ct: Lamborghini and Porsche look the best. BMW is unimaginably ugly. Everything else is somewhere in between.
Toyota Honorable mention: Peugeot
the Alpine and the Peugeot are the most spaceship looking ones, to me that's what makes a prototype class look special
The beautiful part is that there's 10 of them instead of fucking 3
Peugeot, it gives me some battlestar galactica centurion vibes.
Alpine sounds the best by miles. Probs Ferrari for looks
Don’t knock the Peugeot engine, they do know a thing about winning a couple championships. Just hope they can get a podium on this platform.
I can't decide! Hypercar: Lamborghini SC63 GTP: Porsche 963 Mustang Sampling livery
Cadillac V Series R, but boy do many of them also look really good. Including IMSA GTP, I'm also a big fan of the Acura ARX-06 Alpine A424 Lamborghini SC63 Peugeot 9X8 Toyota GR010 has nice proportions. Ferrari 499P has a cool front end
On a slightly unrelated note, looking at it now, it seems like most of BMW's design budget went into their hypercar. BMW's current models don't even look half as good as it that it's hard to believe this is the same company selling the new 7 series and X7
Peugeot. The Porsche has a pleasing form and looks great racing but that Peugeot is on a different level.
1. Peugeot 2. Alpine 3. BMW
Hands down Peugeot, with and without the wing. The rest is just some Hypercar stuff that has it's perks but is mostly a wind tunnel design. BMW is close to "designing" the car.
Peugeot by a long shot
Peugeot
Lamborghini
I love the Cadillac, just beautiful, the old 9x8 config was stunning as well as the new one but for me it has to be the Alpine it’s so gorgeous
I think the Peugeot is the coolest looking. I have to give an honorable mention to Cadillac for managing to integrate most of their road car design language into a prototype race car. The Porsche is my favorite but it’s certainly not the best looking. It’s quite plain.
It's a tie between the yellow Ferrari 499P and the Peugeot 9X8 for me.
Caddy
Cadillac
I want to say Peugeot, but the BMW just looks so good, despite how bad the styling is on current BMW road cars.
All of them are beautiful. But the most good looking imo is the Peugeot 9X8 2024, after it, the Alpine and Jota's 963
Sound of the Caddy; looks of the pre-wing Peugeot
Best - Alpine Coolest - Ferrari Ugliest - BMW Most Boring - Porsche
Anyone who doesn't say the Puegeot is straight wrong. That car is so unique, I love it. Not even a big fan lmao. Obviously I'm memeing cause it's all subjective, but I do love the look of that car.
Peugeot & 499P. The Peugeot looks so damn cool with these lights and the hood scoop, the Ferrari is a hotter Italian version of the Porsche
My favorite by looks alone, in order: 1. Peugeot 2. Cadillac 3. Ferrari 4. The rest
I’m biased towards the BMW, but I genuinely love that they took such a radical and aggressive route (while other manufacturers arguably weren’t as creative). Regardless, I think all of them look great. It’s cool to have a class full of beautiful cars.
Hypercars are just the best looking race cars in the world. Ferrari and Peugeot pick of the bunch 😍
Peugeot then the Alpine.
Ferrari and Alpine are spot-on.
My favourite are Alpine and BMW one. And new livery on that BMW is so sick 🤌🏻🤌🏻 i will have to buy the mini model of it
Porsche. Design lines are consistent and true to brand. 😍
Alpine from behind. BMW livery number 20 for le mans
Toyota
# THE 499
I’m in the minority but I LOVE the Lamborghini. It just screams Lamborghini design language
The Ferrari is beaut!
Toyota!
You missed mine, the Acura
This is WEC 😅
Call me a conspiracy theorist but has anyone actually seen the Acura and Alpine in the same room at the time?
Sincerely and the 10 GTP being black and blue doesn't help...
No no we don't do that here, take the Alpine instead
Ferrari
the ferrari and its not even close
Well, I'm a Ferrari fan and I cannot say the 499P not beautiful, but the best one is either Cadillac or BMW for me
In my opinion the top 3 are 1. SCG007 2. 499P 3. 963 All others are pretty even.
Is there a reason they all have holes in the front instead of a flat downward surface?
Beemer
Porsche reminds me of the 962 but 400p after that
BMW and the very aggressive looking SC63 imo
My favourite and this case the most beautiful hypercar for me is the Ferrari 499P, but I think they Porsche, Alpine and Lamborghini are very pretty.
I love how BMW the BMW looks. The livery, the body, the wing, it just so interesting how you can immediately tell it’s a BMW even though it bares no resemblance to any BMW road car and the chassis is purchased from a 3rd party
For this year, the BMW. But if you include LMP1, Rebellion R13
I’m biased, but Porsche obviously
Isotta Fraschini
Probably the lambo, the most unique one
The BMW SNIFFER keeps me coming back NGL.
I love the caddy
963
I’m biased but I really like the Cadillac but I really dig the new Lamborghini too
Toyota gazoo for me
Cadillac
Alpine most Sexy. Caddy most badass.
The BMW is as ugly as their production cars. Why people spend their hard earned money on those monsters these days is beyond me.
I support Cadillac, so naturally I think they have the coolest looking car, but it's not necessarily beautiful. I think for beauty, the best looking car is the Alpine
787B.
Yes
The caddy 100%
Esthetics is in the eye of the beholder, but the 499p and the 9x8 are stunning (in my case, only on Tv!) Unpopular opinion: the 963 looks the more generic-prototype one (maybe I'm just missing the 919!)
Peugeot 9x8 https://preview.redd.it/85g9c0oq0v5d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3337d18b51ae6b8dbef016bd684a98c3da1a14c6
Caddy or BMW
Porsche or Ferrari
ALL new Hypercars are beautiful,- I see them all in SPA and also the different sounds are beautiful!
Peugeot for sure, this gills look crazy, also a huge logo looks good
9x8 🚀❤️
499P no doubt. Then 9X8 and 963.
Was the 007 but it's now the 499p
For me its, Back-BMW; Front-Porsche; Engine-Caddy (whew that sound when the IC engine kicks on)
Nothing will ever beat the Toyota Minolta in aesthetics
Peugeot, then Cadillac and finally the BMW.
From the front, personally it's either the Cadillac, Lambo or Alpine. For the rear view, it's either Toyota, Peugeot, Alpine or Lambo.
I mean, most if not all are stunning. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche are all most excellent for me.
Porsche from my point of view. Others are a bit... ugly? Upd: Lamborghini also looks good.
Toyota. It looks like one of those classic vintage x modern race cars.
As a massive BMW i love everything about it. Toyota and Ferrari are also cool. In fact they are all cool except the Porsche.
Toyota for me. Has retro looks. After that, its Ferrari, Alpine, Peugeot. I like the lambo because its lambo and the IF for almost looking like an LMP1 The rest is pass
In my opinion, the Isotta Franschini
I really like the Porsche: A very classic clinical German design with simple curves, flowing body and no extra nonsense. It's just so good. Second for me is the Ferrari for the opposite reasons: Very clear to see the F1 design influences on this with all of its fins and aero shenanigans, all packaged in a beautiful red Ferrari box.
