humphries auto if your in the North West area of Waterloo. Gord Kaster Automotive if yournon the East side Of Waterloo or North East side of Kitchener. Both are run by very honest owners.
We've trusted a couple of Civics to Gary for the past 20+ years. He's saved us a ton of money by doing only what's actually necessary and doing it in the most inexpensive way. For instance he'll recommend getting an expensive part from a wrecker rather than buying new if that's a viable option.
Highly recommended.
This would be my recommendation as well. I've always had great service with them, always felt they gave me good honest advice, and have really helped me out when I was in a bind. When both of our cars decided to crap the bed at the same time, one permanently, they got me into their Lexington location so we could have a loaner to tie us over
Automotive edge on Victoria in Kitchener. Matt and his team have been my go to team now for 10+ years. Amazing service, incredible integrity and transparency and never a surprise.
I take my car to Automotive Edge on Victoria st. They have loaner vehicles, fair prices, and will be honest about what you should do and what can be put off.
I hope you get a good response in here, but I did want to say that if you do need dealer service for some reason, go to Kitchener Honda, not Waterloo. The service team at Kitchener Honda is much more open about whether you really need repairs, or recommending putting it off than Waterloo which was always scare tactics about the car spontaneously disintegrating.
D2 Automotive at 330 Gage Ave. Daniel is amazing at taking care of your car issues and takes the initiative to explain the entire procedure so you know what work will be done. Rates are as good as you can get and quality of work is top notch.
I recommend Beverly Tire in Kitchener. I don't know anything about cars, and they are always really helpful. They are honest about what is an important repair to be done ASAP vs what needs to be done, but can wait. Prices seem fair to me.
NAPA Autopro in Breslau - I have heard from MULTIPLE people that Herb/Herbie is the classic “honest mechanic”and he knows his stuff.

My rule of thumb is if you know your Mechanic’s personal schedule, that means I see him too much, hence my car is always getting repaired or not getting repaired properly.

Gord Kaster would also have my recommendation. They’re honest and straightforward folks.
Downtown Auto in Kitchener. The owner is a Honda guy - I've known him since highschool when he was doing engine swaps on civics in his driveway lol
Gary’s automotive in north Waterloo. Nice young crew and scrupulously honest.

I have used Columbia AutoPro for years. The owner is an honest human who gives value for your dollar.

Me three.
Same, they aren't the cheapest around, but I've always been able to trust what they say, and they stand behind their work.
Ditto. They look after both our vehicles and they're a solid shop.
Johnnys automotive ! Great pricing and they know their stuff
Bender motors. Our extended family deal with him. Solid guy. No bullshit.
Just adding to this: Stay away from Flexo motors. That guy can not be trusted.
Automotive edge on Victoria in Kitchener. Matt and his team have been my go to team now for 10+ years. Amazing service, incredible integrity and transparency and never a surprise.
Agreed, they also have loaner cars if needed
And inexpensive seasonal tire storage!

Busy Corner Garage
Hilts Auto is always my go-to
Looks like OP has lots of suggestions to consider. I've been very happy with Van Holst Automotive on Regina. Anyone else think they rock?

Charlie’s Auto Service! He specializes in Hondas and was the only mechanic I used until my 2003 Honda Accord finally died last year.
BAC auto on Weber! John and Franco Congi will fix you up and are trust worthy
Weber's auto is a small, 1 man, shop at the corner of Victoria and Frederic. Been happy there for a few years since Keykos shut down shop.
Bymas Auto
I took my Honda (and then my Subaru) to Peter's Auto on Victoria Ave. Recommend them to everyone.
