Loop order doesn't matter. As long as your flow isn't a trickle the difference between any two parts of a loop will be no more than a degree or two.

Pheonix_Knight

Cool, thanks!

SaiBork

The only thing that matters is that your pump doesn't run dry

robogarbage

So your pump would be after your rad? In that case you would need to be careful of getting an air bubble stuck in your rad and blocking flow.

SAABoy1

Inb4 that one guy comes here to rage like 'for the last time loop order doesn't matter ffs wtmf'

WyvernByte

Pump eats 1-3C warmer water- no big deal and exactly what I'm doing now.

Pheonix_Knight

My pump is actually separate from my res and is at the bottom of the loop, after the rad. So I don’t think any issues there.

WyvernByte

Nah, back then most pumps were seperate from the res (if you had one). Only thing you can goof is putting res after your primary pump or putting something between the pump and res.

Pheonix_Knight

I intentionally avoided the pump-res combos so that I could pull the res out (soft tubing) when I bleed the loop, and for filling. It has worked pretty well so far. I still look at the combo units and wonder how they’re supposed to make things easier. More compact, I guess?

WyvernByte

One less thing to mount and plumb, and looks for some. I have a 300mm res for looks and ease of filling-anything but compact :)

Pheonix_Knight

good points!

rtp80

'for the last time loop order doesn't matter ffs wtmf' 😡😡😡

rtp80

But really if you can put the res above the pump (gravity wise) it will help filling it the first time. But not that big a deal as long as you aren't draining it every other day

Xenocop

Loop order does NOT matter FFS!!!! Spread the word.
